This was our first stay at one of the Tafer Residence and it might have made a difference that we were Elite Members, but wouldn't know unless we traveled there was other hotel guests. But, since we also went when it wasn't the busiest time, we didn't have trouble getting attention from service staff or waited too long for food to be made nor even getting prime real estate beach or pool front.||One main thing we loved was the Kids Club for our 5 year daughter. She loved the experience and the staff was communicative and wonderful. During her visits to the club, we were able to get adult time to visit the Adults only pool and more quiet time. We definitely didn't leave her there the entire time since they didn't provide food, but their activities also took the kids around the resort and to the beach so that was great they were not just cooped up inside.||Hands down our favorite restaurant was Dao. The staff and food was excellent. I do not recommend Davino's, maybe we were too excited, but the food was very average and then there was a staff member eating in the main room watching some kind of video on this phone on blast. It didn't make for a good dining experience. Eating in the main room is not the problem, but essentially blasting something like a TV in a canteen is when others are trying to have dinner. It is super disruptive.||Our daughter also absolutely enjoyed the Merry-go-around! Unlimited and she just had the best time.||The main reason for the stripping of the star is that most of the restaurants were not great with the exception of Dao. Maybe expect less and you may not be as disappointed? Then the consistent trend about tipping and the confusion that it is extra. This needs to be clear and the preference really should be paid in the end. Psychologically, though, if this made for better service, then I can also understand the impetus. Because I would say the staff here is not only super professional, they also seem super motivated to want the guests to be happy. They are degrees better than other resorts and four/five star accommodations. ||Overall, we would still return as our vacation was pretty amazing and now, we understand the tipping as well as which restaurants to not bother going to.

Garza Blanca Cancun was an incredible experience! My wife and I visited in November for our honeymoon. We stayed in an ocean view junior suite and it was very clean. The view was breathtaking and the amenities (tub, showers, bidet) were really nice. The customer service was top-tier; my wife and I felt very taken care of and treated well. We loved the many pools, hot tubs, and the rooftop pool. We ate at Blanca Blue, Dao, and the standard food hall. All were really good! I would recommend making reservations at the other restaurants, but I would not discount the buffet food hall. The service there was fast and the food was very good! The servers there go above and beyond to ensure that guests have a great experience. ||I would like to thank the following gentlemen, especially for their service. ||Adolfo provided great room service, and Fidel prepared incredible desserts and meals at the food hall, Silvestre was kind, and courteous and helped us with our bags, Cesar at the bar kept the drinks flowing and they were all good! ||Gerardo and Martin were our servers at Dao and they were funny, and knowledgeable and made our meal special when they learned we were celebrating our honeymoon. ||Last but not least Candelario welcomed us to the resort, gave us recommendations, and took the time to greet and speak to us whenever we crossed paths during our visit. ||We will be back!

Beautiful property and amenities. Great rooms. We received an upgrade at check in that was unexpected. Lovely one bedroom suite with kitchen, washer dryer 2 bathrooms and swim up pool . The food was exceptional. Book with all inclusive it’s the best way to truly relax and enjoy. Now a few bewares: on the 2nd night no hot water and told they don’t know when it will be repaired. The beach is nice but not for getting in. Very difficult to get reservations for restaurants we had to settle with what they had open. And you can’t book ahead without a room #. And last day they did not clean our room until 4:30, when we needed to get ready for very early 6 pm dinner because that was what was available. So very mixed feelings. Probably won’t be back.

My wife and I travelled with our boys (8 & 10). We have stayed at multiple “higher end” all inclusive resorts and this one has many 5 star attributes. The best thing about the resort is the food and primarily the dinners.||Dao - Amazing, get the duck and the house made noodles. Everything was delicious. ||Japanese - Very good, waiters have good suggestions.||Steakhouse - Sides were ok, but the aged ribeye was excellent and included with AI.||Mexican - Very good, short rib was excellent.||Gourmet kitchen - least favourite and will do if you can get a reso elsewhere.||Davino (Italian next door) - Very good, I had the lamb risotto and it was excellent. ||Breakfast is good, fairly standard for a higher end AI.||Be prepared that after every meal and most drinks there is an itemized bill presented. You don’t need to tip, but you can. Tipping is a fairly big part of the resort but it is your choice. ||Rooms - Recommended upgrading or booking the 1 bedroom suite. We started with a Junior Suite and upgraded to a beautiful ocean view 1 bedroom suite that was well worth it for the last 5 night.||Activities - The activities crew is good and our boys ended up playing a lot of pickleball. There is not a ton to do if keeping really busy is your thing. This resort is probably most ideal for a couple, although there are a lot of families and our kids enjoyed it. Kids club is geared towards younger kids (7 and under) and there is no teens club etc. ||Pools are excellent and there are multiple hot tubs as well. Beach is good, beautiful sand and lots of room for beach chairs. During the peak times (New Years) it was hard to get a chair after 8AM. The rest of the trip Jan 2 and on, no problem.||Excursions - Did a self guided trip to Isle Mujeres. The cargo ship about a 5 minute walk from the resort works well for transport and you can also Uber about 10 minutes and get on the Ultramar ferry. Rented a golf cart and toured the island. About a 5 hour total trip, which was good. Also, booked a tour through the resort, easy enough but if you book the one through Cancun Adventures be prepared for some VERY rough roads.||Overall this resort is very good, it is not at the same level as Grand Velas (for example) but the food would be close. Service at the pool and beach could use some improvement but overall well above average. Definitely Recommend Garza Blanca, especially if you enjoy good food.

Fantastic resort! We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was so luxurious and clean! The hotel is grand where you have access to their sister hotel next door for food purposes. The food is excellent here and the breakfast has so many options. The staff are friendly and extremely kind, they go the extra mile to make the stay comfortable. The cleaning staff for the rooms are thorough and always come back in the evenings to provide further amenities if need be. Definitely will visit this resort again! Lastly, the spa is exceptional, it's scenic clean and the facilities are great with amazing massages!

Will never go back. Still stuck here actually but I’m so annoyed I just have to leave the review now. We have stayed in huge resorts and small resorts and this experience was the worst by far. We paid for the two bedroom swim up suite, so we weren’t doing a budget vacation, I’m spending good money for luxury experience. The service at each restaurant is great and the wait staff is super friendly but the management and concierge leave a lot to be desire. Started off badly before we even arrived. Called the extend the stay one day because of flight availability. Was promised it was our same room and they extended. Only realized later they reserved that extra day for a different month. When I called to fix it they acknowledged it was their fault but longer had our room available so we’d have to change rooms for the last night. Nothing I can do as we already booked the flight but that’s incredibly annoying. Get to the resort and check in takes forever. I wait in line for 30 min with my two children (3 and 6 yo) who are exhausted to finally get to the front desk person where it takes another 20 min. We find out our room isn’t ready but they are going to expedite and will call/ text as soon as it is. We packed swimsuits in our carry on so we go to the pool with the kids. Well two hours go by no call or text. I go back to the front and oh yes our room is ready but we need to bring the kids and my husband back to wait in line again to activate our wrist bands. When we finally get to the room the cleaning person is just leaving and says no one told him to expedite it. Great. We didn’t make any dinner reservations before arriving because we are with two small kids who are very picky so we generally like to get a feel for the food first before making reservations. Friday morning at 7:30 am of our first full day I go to the concierge to make reservations for the week. I’m there for a good thirty minutes and she can only make one for the week we are here because everything else is booked for the times we want (two small kids not going to eat at 9 PM). I ask if it’s ok we have no reservation for tonight and she said yes just go to their food hall. So that night we head to the food hall and it’s closed. I go back to the concierge and ask if the buffet place at the sister resort will take us tonight without a reservation because the food hall is closed and she says yes. I drag my kids all the way over to the next resort and that restaurant is closed too! So we go back to our resort and try and restaurant there and basically beg for a seat despite not having a reservation. They at first won’t seat us until 7 (it’s 6 pm) but the restaurant is empty which we point out so they do. The restaurant stayed 50% empty the entire time we were there so no idea why there wasn’t a reservation available. The pool for the swim up suite is great but you are ground floor and with that comes noise. At night the music from the restaurants is loud, but it's understandable and knocks off around 10:30 pm. Unfortunately Sunday morning we are awoken at 6 am by blasting club music coming from the restaurants. I call the front desk to inquire why a restaurant which won't open for several hours has it's music blasting and I'm promised it will be fixed. But no blasted all morning and into the day. Bass so loud I could feel it. Truly unsure why it needs to be this loud. Otherwise everything is just slow. Called for more waters for the room and it took 2 hours. Room service took over an hour and the plates sat outside our room for the rest of the afternoon/evening. And any complaints or feedback goes into a pit to never be addressed or acknowledged. Anyway it's only been three days and we have three more to go but it's already been so unpleasant contemplating leaving early.

Not sure why there are so many bad reviews as my experience was nothing but positive. I did hear one group threatening to leave a 1 star review over something stupid and not Garza’s fault. I was there from Dec 2 to Dec 9 with my wife and daughter. We got there late at night and the service from the drivers, baggage handlers to the check in staff were friendly, courteous and efficient. Overall the food was good and most restaurants were amazing. We did not like the Italian restaurant at the sister resort but all restaurants at Garza were amazing. The room was clean and had a great view. Very friendly for kids and we utilized the kids club one morning and my daughter loved it. The fitness gym is also one of the best I’ve seen and worked out at. All the staff we interacted with are worthy of a 5 star establishment. I wanted to give a special shout out to Carlos who was our waiter at the front of the pool closer to the beach. Carlos always went above and beyond serving us and I hope to see him again the next time we come back. And yes we will definitely be coming back!

Overview:
This was our first stay at Garza Blanca Cancun since it fully opened. Previously, we visited as a group of 8 when only one wing of the resort was open (three years ago). We’ve been members for 5+ years and have also stayed at Tafer resorts in Cabo/ Puerto Vallarta. Overall, we loved our stay at the Cancún Garza Blanca are looking forward to future visits.||Highlights:|* Dining Experiences:
Standout restaurants were Davino, Hiroshi, Dao, and Noi. These four provided the most well rounded experiences on the resort. We were extremely impressed with both the quality of food and the service at these four spots. |* Housekeeping:
Housekeeping was excellent, with rooms being cleaned to perfection twice a day without disrupting our schedule.|* Spa Experience:
The spa was a huge highlight. From the hydrotherapy facilities to the massage itself, everything was top notch.|* Gourmet Hall Breakfast Buffet:
The food variety at the breakfast buffet was fantastic. We looked forward to it every morning.|* Daily Activities:
The resort's activity schedule was diverse and fun, ensuring that our week long trip was packed with new activities everyday. |* Innovative Wristband Room Key:
The wristband room key system was new to us and super cool/convenient. |* Outstanding Service:
Special shoutout to the following staff members who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable:| * Benjamin at the Rooftop Pool| * Jose at the Main Pool| * Fernando at Dao| * Saul and Connie from the Spa| * Carlos from Gourmet Hall Breakfast| * Hugo the sommelier|Each of these employees provided service to us with tremendous positivity and enthusiasm throughout out the trip. Really enjoyed our time with them!||Opportunities:|* Lunch Options:
We found the lunch offerings to be somewhat bland compared to the excellent breakfast and dinner options here. We tried the pool food, the food truck, and the rooftop—none were as impressive as the meals served in the morning or evening.|* Several Room Number Request for every meal: We were asked for our room number multiple times—sometimes by as many as four different people during breakfast (different hostess, different waiters.) Need to improve communication and assignments to prevent this.|* Transportation Scheduling:
While the pickup experience was smooth, scheduling rides throughout the remainder of our stay was frustrating and difficult. ||Overall, Garza Blanca Cancun delivered a memorable vacation experience with standout dining, exceptional service, and luxurious amenities. I’d recommend this resort to any family looking for a fantastic vacation in Cancun. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!! Thanks for taking care of us
