An amazing concept, previously functioning as a gas storage unit, this has been converted into one of the most gorgeous panorama displays. There's a theme every year, this year being the Amazonian forest. With a combination of lights and sound effects, you feel like you're in the forest experiencing nature in its truest forms. Theres also a beautiful display of different species indigenous to the forest. Tickets are at 13 EUR per head.

The exhibition was very good, yet there was plenty of space. There were all sorts of animals and plants to discover. If you have them, just bring your own binoculars and save yourself the €2 rental fee. I was really impressed by the animated day/night cycle and would have liked to stay on the observation deck even longer. Definitely worth a visit! We discovered a lot of new things the second time around, too. Highly recommended!

It was an impressive installation in 360 degrees with the light changing during a day and a night's cycle. The eay the photos and paintings were mixed is very skillful and in some places of the landscape it seems to be a 3D photo. Just the story of the place is interesting enough to merit a visit, then the contrast between its previous use and this defense of the Amazon is an interesting conceptual contrast that screams with the spirit of these times.

Great day out. Lots of free parking next to the building. Easy to find. Staff are friendly. Good presentations to walk through before you enter the main gas tank. All displays are in English and subtitles for the movie. The platform is 4 stories with chairs to sit on each floor. Great views with music and lights. Great for all ages. Definitely recommend.

The reef Panorama was boring and it took us 5min to want to go out. Only thing that kept us in was the big price for the entrance. Update: the new antic exhibition is much better especially the sound.

This is an amazing place and a must visit if you are living in Pforzheim. The cost of the ticket per person is 11 Euro. You can see an outstanding 360 panorama work inside with different day timing effects. At the end you can also see a video of the creator which explains how they made this amazing place. I enjoyed my time here, I recommend it.

Very nice place, a huge space where you can admire the wonders of nature and realize how human species is destroying it. It is really a must visit when you are in Pforzheim !!! There is a lift too and the building can be accessed by people in a wheelchair too. There are many ramps and a lift that takes you where you have to go !!!! Prices for entry are fairly low. There are discounts for students or small kids.

Yelp
This review is not going to paint me in a positive light because, honestly, the Gasometer sounded boring. It's not until you see it in person that you realize how awesome it is. Descriptions will not do it justice. It's about a 5 story, 360 degree panorama of ancient Rome, complete with nice lighting, a day and night cycle and ambient sound effects. The whole effect is nothing short of stunning and during the night cycle, you'd swear you could throw a stone and hit someone. I'm not an artistic person but even I could realize the magnitude of what the artist has created here. I don't know how or where you'd even start planning something like this. Anyways, it's badass and we spent about an hour there, just looking at Rome. Highly recommended.
