We absolutely loved staying here. Beautiful and convenient location, spotless and cozy rooms and, above all, the friendliest people. We stayed in a room that included a bath/shower so I can’t speak to the other accommodations but it was a thoughtful space that included everything we needed. Plus, a sweet breakfast room where we had tea in the evenings and met a few other travelers. Whenever we had questions about the city, the staff were eager to help, truly lovely people. And literally steps away from the incredible English Garden which we walked through each morning to get into the city. Thank you for a wonderful time in Munich! If we’re ever lucky enough to be back, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Incredible and best experience of our vacation. We will remember our experience for the rest of our lives. They alone made my 5 year old son’s entire Christmas season and we were only there for two nights, so one full day. He even said their hotel is his dream home. ❤️ Absolutely magical and they had beautiful Christmas decorations too. I don’t have enough wonderful things to say. The owners are thoughtful, funny, and I consider them friends for life. I will definitely be returning.

We loved this place! We booked two really spacious rooms (there are big rooms and small rooms available); they were lovely and comfortable. The service level is low and unobtrusive but there’s coffee, wine, and beer available. Lovely back garden for relaxing and incredible location near the river surfing and Biergartens. The photo is the view from the hotel garden!

We are so glad we chose this hotel. Selçuk is a fantastic hotelier and became a friend by the end of our stay. We woke daily to the sound of singing birds and went to the sitting room or patio for tea. We walked (30 seconds) to the English Garden! We walked across the street for great food and beer. Everything was warm and wonderful and we're excited to find a place that is affordable, and so enjoyable.

We rented two rooms, for my son and one for myself. I could not be happier with the experience. The proprietor, Selçuk, is a wonderful person and made us feel like family. I have stayed in 5* resorts and not had such a pleasant experience. We woke up in the morning to the south of birds chirping, and no traffic. We walked across the street to an amazing restaurant and had the best Schnitzel ever - and great service and good beer. I will absolutely return here when I am back in Munich.

Beautiful building overlooking the English Gardens however the non ensuite rooms feel more like a hostel. The room was as big as the bed and there was no space to open a suitcase. The room is dusty (my coat was white after it fell on the floor of the wardrobe) and the shared bathroom is in the basement (there is only one for the whole house). It is also smaller in size than the bathroom you get in the ensuite which makes no sense considering how many people use it. Toilets are external on each floor. There is no daily room cleaning either. Neither in the shared bathrooms. They should show photos of these rooms and how the set up is because it is falsely advertised on the website when you end up with them. The ensuite rooms instead are very spacious and charming. If you can have this room it’s a wonderful place to stay. Still without any service at all. But definitely a great option in a lovely non touristic part of town. Unfortunately the house was full and not everyone in our group could have this option. Despite us being sure we booked two of them :(

Our family only spent one night in this guesthouse, and didn’t get to explore the area as much as we’d hoped. That said, it provided two very spacious rooms in the main building with en suite bathroom. There was no air conditioning in the rooms, so it was important to leave the windows open--just bring earplugs. The main thing I appreciate is that the proprietor was happy to watch our bags over the weekend when it turned out we needed to drop two temporarily to fit into our rental car for the weekend. Really appreciate that!

Yelp
We had a large family gathering here, based on helpful recommendations from Toytown Munich: http://www.toytowngermany.com/lofi/index.php/t169033.html We had a number of rooms in the apartment annex, which worked out well. We also had a couple of rooms in the nearby Hotel Biederstein, run by the same proprietor. That hotel had larger rooms, and a larger breakfast room, although not quite as quaint. They had wifi, but it wasn't working. Information about laundry facilities would have been a helpful addition to the guest handbook. They were very helpful with umbrellas when it rained during out stay. Breakfast was pretty good, an extra 4.5 euros above the room charge, with further charges for orange juice and eggs.
