Gasthaus Älpele

Great stop at a crossover of hiking/snowshoeing and cross-country skiing trails. My carrot and ginger soup was delicious! On Sunday afternoon, Grandma Sylves’ plum cake was sold out.

I really enjoyed my lunch here. Went for soup which was excellent and a nice beer. All with an amazing view. Staff were great. Recommended for a stop off while on the Lechweg walk

We know the place which has a beautiful setting, but it’s evolved to be a complete rip-off. Incredible unfriendly and rude staff. Furthermore their phone number doesn’t even exist … year by year and it gives more the feeling to be a scam, very sad!

I have been to this hut for a number of years. Very cute decoration, typically Austrian. In winter you can access this by foot or the cross country loipe is close by. In summer besides walking, there is also a bus service. Serves simple Austrian dishes but the views and atmosphere really make it.

Hardly any vegetarian options (soup of the day); no changes possible because everything is already prepared in advance. Apfelstrudel is average. Located well for walking from one hut to the next or for e-bikes.
