We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and the experience was very good. The service and the location of the hotel was awesome. Restaurant and the hotel staffs were great, I just didn’t like the room amenities much, especially the bedding and the shower. The bedding was not very comfortable and it was very difficult to take shower because of the water temperature, it was either too hot or too cold, no matter how much I tried I couldn’t get the right temperature water for shower. I have reduced 1 star because of that but other than this I loved staying at the hotel and I would love to visit the hotel again for experiencing such a great location.

I would like to recommend Gasthaus & Hotel Berninahaus to everyone that wants to visit Switzerland.
The Hotel is really well localized and counts with a wonderful view.
The space provides you, the meaning of peace.
All the employees are really polite and educated and also very thoughtful.
About the space, I would like to say that it was very well sanitized and clean.
Also, I would like to recommend the unique and absolutly tasty gastronomy.
Thank you everyone for your unforgettable experience.

We visited in early July and we absolutely loved this place. They are lovely and welcoming and very kind. Beautiful surroundings, just opposite the train station, you are 1 stop from Diavolezza cable car, and a couple of stops from the White Lake (heading towards Tirano) or the Morteratsch Waterfalls (heading towards St Moritz). Lots to see and do around, and you can conveniently hop on and off the train to walk as much as you feel. We had a comfortable, spacious room. We didn't bring our dog but it was a very dog friendly place, as we saw many guests also with big dogs. Hope to be back next year!

My husband and I stayed here for one night in mid-April and were happy with the hospitality and accommodations, but there wasn’t much to do in the area at this time. The hotel is located across the street from Bernina Suot train station, and that’s all that is there. We were aware of this at booking but thought there would be more to do in nearby Pontresina, accessible by train. However, the hotel was quite busy. Our train was canceled due to an avalanche so we were stuck for the afternoon but it appeared most visitors had cars and parking was free onsite. Dinner was pricey but very good. Breakfast was included. Room was comfortable but we would have appreciated a small refrigerator for snacks and wine. The shower had a curtain rather than a shower pan and doors, so it was hard to keep the entire bathroom floor from getting wet. The dog was super sweet! Very friendly service. This is probably a wonderful place in summer when you can hike all over from this launching point - very scenic.

It,s an old and typicle swiss location. We had a very warm welcome and were feeling at home in no time. The rooms are very nice. Swiss wooden furniture and a moder bathtoom made the stay very pleasant. The surrounding of the hotel is breathtaking and certainly worthwile to take a hike. Restaurant was great. They serve typical swiss kitchen which was great. The breakfast is top with a great variety of choices.

It was by accident that we - a family of three - came by that century old guesthouse and were completely blown away: what a warm welcome by the owner (they only started that business 15. December 2017, before they cooked at the famous Palazzo Von Salis in Soglio), what a wonderful stuva (mountain restaurant) and what a great menu which is absolutely innovative and full of local specialities like capuns, pizzocheri, specialities from nearby Puschlav valley and several kinds of fondues (cheeses and chinoise) Also the starters are amazing: we had beetroot carpaccio, a great garden salad (it s not easy to please with a green salad but this one did indeed) and a wonderful local speciality soup. We later enjoyed a cheese fondue with fresh mushrooms and a wonderful local white wine (Pinot Grigio). Unfortunately, we were too full to taste the tempting desserts.|Also the service was very attentive and friendly, always around if needed but not over attentive. The century old house has been renovated with great taste and attention to details. Hyper modern meets history. Gorgeous.||All in all an exceptional experience and we certainly will come back as soon as we are back in Engadin Valley and in Switzerland.
