A hotel that feels home.|Location|At the end of the road. May seem a bit long but it was a good way for us to know nearly all about Andermatt by the time we reached the hotel.|Nope, I was not welcome with the "grand" and "stone-cold modern" reception and room. I received welcome note with physical keys to our room. Room on second floor. Did not notice or see a lift, so carried bags to second floor.|Room|Homely, spacious, clean and tidy. No need to hang door sign to clean. The room is clean daily.|Reception |Have real physical person with warm smile|Breakfast|Spacious, quiet and clean dinning area. Feels more like at home than a resturant. Good variety, quantity and superb quality. Must try the croissant. It tasted home baked and not commercial. And you get good branded quality yogurt. |Safety|Given it is family run, critics might be on safety, felt safe in sleep and nothing was missing during stay.|Considering the cost in Switzerland (which is usually $$$$). the value-for-money and quality service of this family hotel deserve a five star.

Excellent Stay in a Beautiful Location We had a wonderful stay at this hotel during our visit to the charming village of Andermatt. The location is fantastic right in the heart of a beautiful and peaceful area, perfect for exploring the surroundings. Our family room was spacious, clean, and well-furnished. It was ideal for four people, with separate rooms that offered privacy and comfort. Everything was well-maintained and thoughtfully arranged. The breakfast was also great, with a wide selection of fresh and tasty options to choose from something for everyone. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience and would definitely come back again!

The hotel was perfect, Andermatt is gorgeous, the restaurant downstairs was very good, and the breakfast was amazing! I’m so glad I chose this hotel over the other options in Andermatt.

First impression was positive - cozy and warm, good location, friendly staff. But unfortunately our room had a strong smell of cigarettes and one of the beds was broken in the middle (I slept like in hammock) 😞 Also churfhbells are very loud at 6 o'clock:(

It's an ok hotel. It's basically self-service, with your key waiting for you on a table upon arrival and you leave it there when departing. There's a bell that you can ring if you need service. The location is good, on the main street and about 10 minutes to the train station on foot. Breakfast was basic but fine. One half of the large bed had a sink hole, the other half was good. No elevator, no fridge, no safe, no tissues, tiny TV with many, many stations. I didn't have any problems, but for $200+ per night, I wouldn't return.

What a great stay! The owners are lovely people and very helpful. They speak English, and were fun to chat with. The room was clean every day, and the breakfast included was high quality. The restaurant is also tasty. My one point of critique is that the shower head wouldn’t stay in place and kept falling down. I had to hold it to keep it up high. Very convenient access to the Gurschenbahn, so it is an excellent place to stay for a ski vacation. It’s also a short walk from the train station and town center for easy access to rail and the rest of the resort. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone coming to Andermatt. I will be back again!

We spent 3 days at this amazing hotel. Everything was perfect. Very clean and cozy rooms, just 1 minute from the gondola of gemstock. The staff and the owners were absolutely amazing, kind, and helpful. They make you feel like home! Last but don’t least the hotel has an amazing restaurant that serves delicious dishes. Highly recommended!!
