This was a fantastic experience. The accommodations and hosts were wonderful, and they provided great recommendations for local events. The breakfast was excellent! There are not enough nice comments to make about this terrific experience.

This is one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at. All of the staff were kind, welcoming, and provided great recommendations. The room bright, spacious, and had an incredible view. The included breakfast was delicious! We enjoyed walking to and from the hotel into Hall. We certainly hope to be back one day and highly recommend it!

This was my 6th stay (my partners first stay) at the Gasthof Badl. Sonja is the most welcoming hostess, as is her daughter, and a wealth of information on the going’s on in the area. They’re always looking to make you stay more comfortable and enjoyable. The Badl has been remodeled from my first stay in 2001. Impeccably clean, tastefully decorated. The experience is that of a very high end boutique hotel, yet has all the charm of a local, small B&B. We walked to the Christmas Markets in Hall in Tirol from here. Easy 10 minute walk. Felt perfectly safe with a constant beautiful view ahead of us. Oh, from the room balconies you’re treated to overlooking the beautiful town of Hall and the alps behind it. Breakfast is so vast and varied, it’s simply incredible. I’ll just say I can’t imagine a trip to Bavaria, Austria or the Dolomites without a couple of nights at the Badl.

Highly recommend! We recently got back from a one month trip in Europe and this was our favorite place to stay on the entire trip. The family who own it are very welcoming and helpful. The best breakfast buffet we had the entire time. The rooms were immaculate and comfortable with a view of the river, town and mountains. It was a pleasant walk on a wooden covered bridge over the river to get into town. They recommended a couple of restaurants and local sites that are not listed in the tour books, but were excellent. It’s a short drive into Innsbruck or there is a bus. Cannot say enough good things about this place and we would go out of our way to stay here again.

Another Gem of a hotel. We found this by watching Rick Steves video. While the Video was almost 16 years old this family operated small hotel did not disappoint. The rooms were comfortable well appointed for our 4 day stay to explore the area including Innsbruck, Zugspitze, Hall and many other areas. While they no longer serve dinners or lunches they do serve a great breakfast. It is only a short walk to the town of Hall across an old pedestrian scenic bridge to the small town center. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. It was very quiet even though close to the highway which was a major convenience when heading out to different locations. It made it easy to get to as well. Once you arrive it is a secluded, private, quiet hideaway. The owners family were super helpful in planning our days and making recommendations. Even when they did not have information they would look and search for us. It is always good to have a local who knows what to see and do. If I were to return to the area I would book here again. If you are looking for a place to stay around Innsbruck then Gasthof Badl should be a consideration. It also had parking a major advantage if traveling by auto. There is a nearby train station, within walking distance.

In August of 2024 my wife and I stayed in this jewel of a hotel for three nights, words can't describe how well we were treated by the owner Sonja and her daughter Lara. Sonja is a fountain of information from the moment you walk in throughout your stay. She is up and early running the breakfast room, the breakfast is great.||The hotel is only four kilometers from Innsbruck so if you have a car is only a 10 minute drive, otherwise you could take a bus across the street from hotel and go into Innsbruck (the bus takes a lot longer because it goes through the beautiful villages and makes many stops but it's another option). This way you are close to the city but worlds away in a quiet beautiful place by the river and great shade trees and full of apple trees that they have inside the property. There is always a great bicycle path that goes next to the hotel.||The staff keeps this place clean and beautiful, Sonja is always willing to help you with anything or information you need. Her English is perfect and her daughter Lara also speaks very good English.||The best host that we have ever encountered in the many years of travel. Austria is a spectacular, super safe country with very nice people and it is the best kept secret in Europe.

Very helpful people made you feel like family. Room was very clean and updated. Rooms had modern art not my taste but well done. Was very cute that a dog greeted us and there two of them that my grandson loved to pet. Breakfast had a great variety. My daughter slept late and we were going to save her some food and they kept it open for her really above and beyond service.
