Four of us on a motorcycle tour. We stayed for 2 nights in July at the Seminar Linde. The hotel is comfortable and the staff are great. I must mention Osi, who did everything he could to make us feel welcome, and Amanda and Vikki the barmaids - if Carling did barmaids!||We found the hotel most accommodating for bikers, with locals and staff alike ready to talk about good routes in the area.||The hotel sits on a main road, but that's not a negative point - you wouldn't notice it from inside your room. You may, however, notice the rather noisy delivery drivers early in the morning. On both our mornings there, deliveries began around 7.30.||The showers in the rooms are among the best we experienced during our 12 day tour. Big chapeau to the management for realisng that good showers are important. On recommendation by bar staff, we ate in the bar - meals are prepared in the same kitchen but are a bit cheaper. As one of only two restaurants in town, expect a busy place. There's an outdoor seating area where mostly locals sit for hours, and we found this was a great pace to while away the hours chatting and laughing with them. After 10.30pm, guests are obliged to go inside and make use of the cellar bar. During our visit, several local bikers came by and were very helfpul with local riding roads. Our ride out between nights there was brilliant - on back roads to Lake Thun and up to Grindelwald.||I would recommend the Seminar Linde for small groups and families. For a romantic couple I would say it works, but it's not a romantic setting.

The hotel itself is quite simple, in a quiet place not far away from Bern (10 minutes by car) but overpriced for what you get. Bed comfy enough, small closet, very poor amenities (if any); my room was at roof level and the absence of the curtain on the roof window in the bathroom woke me up at 5.30. On the other hand, had a very good breakfast with a good choice of sweet/salty products, and the restaurant itself is quite recommendable. Is OK for one night.

Our room was nice and large with a big bathroom. It was cozy with a slanted ceiling (we were up on the top floor) and a view of the town out our window. ||||The hotel in the small town of Stettlen was convenient for sightseeing in Bern, just a five minute walk to the train station and then a 15 minute train ride into Bern.||||There was a good breakfast included which was served in the restaurant next to the hotel.||||The only con is that there is no elevator, so we had to carry our suitcases up the narrow, circular stairway.

At our arrival, they gave us a 3 people bedroom. Even when we were 2 adults and 2 babies, I've booked a 4 people bedroom and I had to claim it. As we didn't touch anything in the room, we were relocated immediately to the room we were booked. The room is clean, comfortable and spacious enough, but we the hotel runs also a bar. The first night we had noises 'till about 11 p.m, but the second night, the noises had us awake 'till almost 2 a.m. We tried to talk to the bartenders, but the place was closed with its noisy clients and staff inside. At the reception, nobody. Next morning, we left the place.||As many places/persons in Switzerland, the euro/swiss-franc exchange is sometimes... confusing. At the check out moment I had to remember the exchange rate of the day, which was cheaper for the than the day before, as the owner wanted to charge the prize with the oldest exchange. ||By the way: In many shops and business all around the country are going to try to cheat the european tourist by 1=1 euro/swiss fran exchange. Be aware, because euro is much more expensive than the national franc.||Overall: Very close to the train station, so you can be in less than 30 minutes in the centre of Berna. The breakfast, included in the prize, was right, and the hotel would be right too if it would be possible to sleep, but as far as they give priority to the bar business over the hotel clients rest, is difficult to consider it a place to rest. And about the environment, well... I won't come back to Switzerland until it become eurozone.

Iin this hotel, basically frequented by german swiss guests, staff is very friendly and helpful. Everything is in German, so it was for us, non speakers, a bit difficult. Not central, but not far from it, if you have a car. It s a traditional old swiss chalet , with pretty balcony flowers. The room is clean, sunny and spacious, redecorated probably in the 80s. Breakfast is honest. The problem is the location, an old building just across a busy street. It s noisy. During the day, one cannot open the windows, during the night any steps upstairs or outside the room can be clearly heard. If you stay here, ask for top floor rooms facing the back.

Partner could not go due to covid scare, so we tried to cancel the day before, worst customer service also they said we could modify the dates and use it as a voucher. But they just ignore our calls each time we tried to reach them. They would not work to waive the full payment and deducted it immediately from our creditcard the day before we were supposed to come. Worst customer service ever and lost 113 euro

Noisy since the place is facing the busy mainroad. Terrace noisy too. The menu card lacks to have local food prepared and served with pride. It's mainly industrial food, salads were not fresh. The prices are very unbalanced vs the poor quality served. - A real 'no-go place' in the future.

We had an event in Bern and we looked for a place to stay close to Bern. It was a few km away so if you want to spend the evening in Bern and have a drink you'll have to get a taxi (which is very expensive!). They provide only one key to the room and a system of managing that key which is forcing all those in the room to synchronize themselves going in and out the building which it could slow you down or even force to change some plans; it looked to me that system is 50 years old... it could use revamp especially cause it has security weaknesses (you can see clearly who's in the room and who's not at any particular time and also some keys open more than one room doors!!!)||the staff is nice the place is clean however the whole atmosphere is not warm, the business behind it is obvious.||very few options to eat at, or spend the evening. the breakfast was ok. ||be aware if you'll need a taxi it cost about 5 euros per km, it is outrageous, like most of the prices in Switzerland even for the average traveler (another example is the 5 euros smallest bottle of water in gas stations); what can I say, it seemed to me Switzerland is telling everyone "if you have money, fine, come by and visit, otherwise up yours". I will prolly not get anytime soon back.||overall I find it expensive for what is offering.
