I traveled for almost a month through the Black Forest and stayed in several hotels. This one especially caught my attention. First of all, because of the hospitality of the place. I met Rose, the owner of the hotel. She is a very attentive and friendly person. She serves your breakfast with great care in a spectacular environment. When you leave, she wishes you a great trip. The entire hotel is surrounded by objects, photos and history. The room I stayed in was wonderful. The bed could not have been more comfortable. A place that will remain in my memory.

Beautiful property and lovely hosts! Rose and Ulrich made us feel so welcome and at home. The food was some of the best we’ve had on our trip through Germany and France. We loved our stay so much we extended for a second night. Thank you for such a lovely experience!!

We had such a great stay at this guesthouse. We were greeted warmly by Rose and checked in and she informed us of the kitchen’s hours for that evening. We ate there the first night and her husband cooked and she served our food. My kids were getting antsy and Rose offered to show the kids a rug where she had some toys, which kept them happily occupied until our food came. The food was great, freshly made, and I tried a regional specialty which was delicious. The breakfast in the morning was also great. Eggs were cooked to order and the coffee was good. Our room was comfortable and quiet and clean. Everything worked well and was in good repair, wifi worked very well. I think the style of the room matches the guesthouse; it felt cozy and homely, rather than dated. The dining room felt like a museum, full of beautiful old things. And I really can’t overstate how wonderful of a hostess Rose is. She remembered our orders on the second morning we were there; my younger son likes hard cooked eggs rather than soft boiled, and on the first morning Rose noticed that he didn’t finish his soft boiled egg, though she didn’t mention it. On the second morning, she had made a hard boiled egg that was waiting for him on the table. She was just truly wonderful and kind and attentive and I would go back gladly.

Authentic, Black Forest experience to the Max. Warm, friendly and Kind ( kindness matters) hosts, Rose and Ulrich. Lovely hosts with a fabulous Chef that cooks like he's in a Presidential kitchen. The food is that good! Ate the best food and schnitzel EVER! Off the charts good. Epic place to stay. Spotless, clean rooms. Stayed for 3 days. Overjoyed to find this place. A real diamond gem and lovely owners. What a excellent place, wow!

Gasthof Zum Weyssen Rossle is a lovely authentic hotel in the hart of the Black Forest. We especially liked the friendliness of the hosts, the breakfast buffet and the quality of the food at the restaurant. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The only downside we could find was the lower quality of the Wi-Fi, in our room there was no stable Wi-Fi coverage.||||Schiltach is a picturesque town with easy access to other villages such as Gengenbach (public transport is included in your hotel fee). If you have access to a car, we recommend visiting the city of Rottweil and the Hohenzollern Castle. Finally, if you're interested in seeing some wildlife, we highly recommend the 'Alternativer Wolf- Und Barenpark Schwarzwald', which is located only 25 min by car from the hotel.||||||To conclude, if you're looking for a cosy, lovely and authentic stay in the Black Forest, look no further. The atmosphere, service, food and surroundings will make you fall in love with the hotel and the Black Forest in an instant.

I stayed here for a few nights with my husband and 2-year-old, and we all loved it. Rose was a very friendly and welcoming hostess, and the room was large and comfortable and easily fit a cot. The restaurant serves guests dinner, which I recommend - it was delicious with local specialties and wines and beers. The place had a great atmosphere. Schiltach is a beautiful little town with lovely walks in the forest, nice cafes and lovely old buildings.

We enjoyed several nights at this beautiful hotel. The hosts are very welcoming. You have the feeling of being in a traditional Black Forest guesthouse (decor and food), but with enough English to make it comfortable for non-German-speakers. Schiltach is a lovely town, and the hotel is well-placed for pleasant walks and museum visits. Highly recommended!

Every once in a while, completely by chance, you come across a special place and special people you will remember forever. This is a lovely hotel in the Black Forest that is full of family and friends and a very long history. The owners, Ulrich and Rose, treat their guest extremely well and sincerely appreciate that you're staying with them. My family is from Germany and their "traditional" hospitality made my entire experience reminiscent of my childhood memories of my grandparents. It was very emotional for me and I am not normally like that! Prices good, food great and the rooms were very nice.
