Gastone Athens

The atmosphere of this restaurant was very beautiful and elegant. There were eight of us and they gave us a table very easily without a reservation. Overall, the waiters are very nice and attentive and they paid attention and were very knowledgeable about the gluten containing items on the menu. The location of the restaurant is incredible. It’s in the center of Athens and I have to say this restaurant exceeded my expectations. The food was absolutely delicious with the Greek salad tasting like heaven, as well as the chicken and the pig. If you are in Athens, I highly recommend to check out this place for a local authentic experience where the wine was also very very tasty. Overall, I rate this place 10 out of 10.

We dined inside although there are tables outside as well. The atmosphere and the service were brilliant. To say the food at Gastone is delicious is an understatement. If you enjoy meat, it’s the place to be, it’s a 5/5. Crackling Pig is a must try, but everything was finger licking good👌

Saying that the food and service were amazing is still an understatement! One of the best places we visited while in Athens. Exceptional food and amazing personnel. We got the beef tartare, the wild pig sausage, the crackling pig and the zygouri with fried potatoes. Everything was so unique and tasteful. A must visit 👏

Super honest solution for good food. In a very central area of Athens this new restaurant is a very good solutions for locals and visitors. Usually requires reservation, but people can find table not the pick hours. The service is good and respectively fast even when the restaurant is busy. The menu is simple, meat oriented with clear Greek traditional influence. The fried Zucchini as starter and the pork as a main dish are a must! We have visited this restaurant twice and we are really very happy with it and we will definitely visit again in the winter

October 2021: Second time was a success in the food front (epic) but very disappointing in terms of service so no perfection achieved I’m afraid. Polite and helpful and all but, guys, when the bill comes at ~100€ for 4 dishes and wine for 2 people and they ask for an additional bottle of water, just don’t charge it. It costs you less than 1€ and makes people feel well-cared. Just my 2 cents. July 2021: ⭐️ Only reason I’m giving Gastone 4 (VS perfect) rating is that 1. One time is not enough to ensure perfection is always being achieved and 2. No wheelchair accessible WC (this is unacceptable for a new, cool restaurant). Other than that the food was brilliant, the service was as friendly and helpful as it should be. The location is urban cool. Athenian to the bone, my apartment was one block away before I moved to a different country and my biggest complaint was the lack of food options. Not the case anymore.

Nice decor, relaxing atmosphere and good service In this modern Greek bistro located in the center of Athens offering international cuisine as well as Greek dishes with a twist. Recommended.

Slightly disappointed by the slow cooked lamb as it was inconsistent. Some parts were soft and tender, other parts were stringy and dry. The Naxos fried potatoes that accompanied the meat was slightly crispy, but a far cry from the fluffy sweet fries I had in Naxos. Nevertheless a modern Greek tavern with some fusion dishes. I may have ordered an item that they are not good at. Their crackling pork and tartare was top notch though. The tartare was nicely seasoned with onion and spices. It was flavourful and paired well with the crackers. The crackling pork was soft, tender, juicy with the crispiest skin and paired with a vinegary pickle. They also offer some Asian options such as rice bowls and sandos.

Came here on Greek independence day looking for the traditional codfish when many places were closed. They had their version which was delicious. Very friendly staff and nice ambiance. Definitely would come back again.
