There were limited vegetarian options, but overall, the food was delicious, the ambiance was perfect, and during Christmas, it felt even more festive and magical. It added a nice touch to the whole experience.

Great experience. The place itself holds tons of history and the food takes it to a new level. For me, the highlight was the freshly made Maultaschen and Spätzle. I knew I had to try them in Swabia and they didn’t disappoint. As for the dessert, let them surprise you. It’s definitely a special place to visit and enjoy a delicious meal in one of the oldest buildings in town!

I had pike-perch followed by a panna cotta all washed down with a Grey Burgunder and a Spätburgunder in the back yard of this venerable institution. The fish that was correctly cooked was accompanied by 11 potatoes which is not very sophisticated but OK according to German culinary standards, and the red wine by the glass was of rather mediocre quality. My waiter was attentive and quick and understood my concern about the number of potatoes.

This restaurant is very nice. The waitress knows english quite well and the food is brought to the table quite fast relatively to other restaurant nearby. The food is tasty and the atmosphere is nice. This restaurant is also kids friendly. I definiely recommend eating here.

A group of professionals visited here on a Tuesday evening during “Spargelzeit” and we each enjoyed our sample from the special asparagus menu in the front of the regular menu. Our server was both knowledgeable and patient. Draft beers on tap include hefe Weizen and Lagers. This building has existed since the 1300’s so a visit to the restroom requires a venture down a spiral staircase into the former vaulted storage areas. The restaurant is large but the space is divided so you can still enjoy the company of a small group.

Fantastic dinner. My wife had the rumpsteak and it was prepared perfectly. I had the Schwabenteller, and that was on point. The spaetzle was some of the best I've ever eaten (I grew up with it in home, and I have the body to prove it). A perfect regional dish. The service was pleasant and attentive.
