Gates Pass Scenic Lookout

WOW! Gates Pass in Saguaro National Park is absolutely gorgeous! We enjoyed a stunning sunset motorcycle ride through the mountains, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. I’ve never seen so many Saguaro cacti all in one place—it's truly a sight to behold! This spot is perfect for capturing incredible photos. The trails in the area offer great opportunities for walking and soaking in the beauty around you. Just a tip: make sure to wear the right shoes for the terrain and bring plenty of water to stay hydrated. There are numerous places to pull off and park, allowing you to walk around and fully enjoy the scenery. I recommend getting there early, especially for sunset viewing, as it tends to get busy. Also, there's a restroom available, which is a nice convenience. Overall, Gates Pass is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves nature and stunning views!

My family has been coming here since 1972. Great place to watch the Sunset, look over the Coyote Mountain range, the singing Rocks area, see Kitt peak, sneak a kiss, take breathtaking pictures, propose to a loved one. Get there early, parking is limited. A little hiking to see the best Sunset depending on the time of year.

Great lookout and start to some trails. Loved the old ruins of buildings but hate the graffiti. There is a bathroom if needed. Good parking!

This is the best place to see amazing views, colors, and the best sunsets. Good short hiking trails. I always take visitors to see the views here in Tucson Mountain Park.

Amazing sunset viewing point. Weather was perfect and just the right kind of cloud cover. If you climb high don't forget to bring headlamps.

This is a beautiful place with many hiking trails, and you can soak in the views from whatever rock you climb onto. The sunsets are surreal and bring in many people just before sunset occurs. I highly recommend stopping here as it's accessible to all adventurous people and skills. I am a bit more daring, so I enjoyed climbing up on some of the higher rocks.

We took a trip trip out to this vista point. A good view of the desert landscape with hiking trails around. Our plan was just to drive out and look around - done mid-day. There's a small parking lot and restrooms.
