Gates Pass Scenic Lookout

WOW! Gates Pass in Saguaro National Park is absolutely gorgeous! We enjoyed a stunning sunset motorcycle ride through the mountains, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. I’ve never seen so many Saguaro cacti all in one place—it's truly a sight to behold! This spot is perfect for capturing incredible photos. The trails in the area offer great opportunities for walking and soaking in the beauty around you. Just a tip: make sure to wear the right shoes for the terrain and bring plenty of water to stay hydrated. There are numerous places to pull off and park, allowing you to walk around and fully enjoy the scenery. I recommend getting there early, especially for sunset viewing, as it tends to get busy. Also, there's a restroom available, which is a nice convenience. Overall, Gates Pass is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves nature and stunning views!

Beautiful sightseeing location, especially during sunset!! It is so fun to drive up the lookout, the road is really nice and wavy, and the desert is gorgeous, even in December. Cacti everywhere make it look like a fairytale.

My family has been coming here since 1972. Great place to watch the Sunset, look over the Coyote Mountain range, the singing Rocks area, see Kitt peak, sneak a kiss, take breathtaking pictures, propose to a loved one. Get there early, parking is limited. A little hiking to see the best Sunset depending on the time of year.

Cool spot to catch a sunset with lots of little trails to explore. But it's very crowded at sunset, get there early.

A must do! Took advantage of this route to visit the Arizona Desert museum. Easy, Beautiful scenic drive with a lot of hiking trails, history markers, photo opportunities. Amazing desert views!!!! Bathroom facilities available.

Take some time to take in the scenery. It's Breathtaking! Literally climb the trails and it will take the breath right out of you. Bring plenty of water.
