Gateway Madurai

I stayed there for 3 nights and my stay was really good. The weather was nice and staff weee friendly and helpful. The service was good, and hats off to the chef for preparing lovely food for breakfast and dinner. I loved having Kari dosa in dinner and local Madurai food. The hotel is quite big with lot of green spaces around. We enjoyed walking around the property. The rooms were also quite big and spacious. There was one free local activity in our package but the communication regarding that was little off. Rest, the staff were friendly and able to help with everything!

We stayed for only 1 night. A lovely property. It is built on a slight elevation overlooking the city. Food is quite good. Rooms is amazing, spacious, well designed. All overlooking the garden where you can see the peacocks having their fun. You can even feed them. Entire set up is lovely and a special mention to the staff . They are caring and thoughtful in their work Overall a pleasurable experience

The Gateway Hotel is located on the outskirts of Madurai in a beautiful wooded park, above the city. |It has an old world feel, which is lovely. There is a beautiful main building with wrap around porches, and peacocks roaming the grounds. |My bedroom/cottage was delightful, with a large bathroom, and a picture window looking out over the city. |Everything was perfect - the staff were very helpful. They organized a two-day guide, who was an expert on the art and architecture of Madurai. Mr. Jana was my driver from the airport, for the two days I stayed, and for a 4 hour drive to Munnar. He was amazing and kind and helpful. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience than the one that the staff at The Gateway provided.

Adorable luxury ! Me and my husband stayed at the regency hotel Madurai during our vacation.The place is worth every single penny.Our stay was exceptional.Clean rooms with all the amenities you need. The breakfast buffet and in room dining services were great.Overall an amazing experience. Would highly recommend.

Hospitality and services were awesome. Staffs were friendly and prioritised our needs. Rooms were comfortable. Only concern is the room maintenance; water dropped from the air conditioner and bath fittings needed to be serviced or changed if possible. Hot water supply for the shower was insufficient. Food and ambiance were great.

A fantastic heritage property atop a hill with stunning views of Madurai and abundant greenery and wildlife all around. Extremely courteous and helpful staff. Numerous resident peacocks that are friendly and often offer a resplendent display of their trains. Well equipped rooms. Well maintained pool. A buffet breakfast spread to cater to all palates.

he staff were very polite and professional. Although checking started with a hic cup but due to swift action of night duty manager Kamesh ( hope spelling is right) and his staff it was sorted easily. Dinner at restaurant was good due to a big conference the service was delayed. Hats off the staff who were very polite and still serving us with a smile. Anand the morning manger was polite and allayed all our worries. On the whole experience was excellent and worth staying at this hotel. Many thanks Anil

One of the best resort I have ever stayed. Customer service is outstanding, right from the resort Manager to the cleaning staff. Resort & rooms are very well maintained. The view & the surroundings are beautiful. Enjoyed the birds & peacocks everyday. The restaurant staff & Managers each & everyone are outstanding in their service. I was not feeling well & was taken care of with special lunch everyday like a family. My special thanks to all the staff & Managers.
