Great base for Strahan. Quiet, gorgeous outlook over Macquarie Harbour, and short walk to either the wharf or the Wilderness Train. Cute A-frame cabin!

The views were good. The rooms very dated and worn. Curtains had holes. Most of the room clean and tidy except bathroom mirror which was splashed with previous occupants toothbrushing habits! Continental breakfast selection was great. Greeting on arrival very unfriendly.

We stayed in one of the A frame chalets that sleeps 4. It was very quaint and spacious and had direct views of the water. The welcome breakfast basket was a lovely touch and very much appreciated as we arrived very late in the evening and left early. Would have been wonderful to stay an extra night to sit back, relax and appreciate the lake views in the back and the surroundings. The property is very close to the Westcoast Wilderness Railway journey from Strahan. Would highly recommend this property. Very affordable too.

Very run down. Inside and out The outside is rotting and need a good paint. You could hear the people talking in the rooms next door. And you could hear the toilet and showers from next door. We were in the middle so the noise was coming from both sides. The bunks were dangerous Getting up to them. Didn't have enough cutlery Only had 1 teaspoon and 3 forks for 4 people. The fan didn't work in the bathroom. Had it booked for 4 nights only stayed 2. Nothing like the photos

Location is lovely and quiet plus close to the village, driving or walking. The facilities are adequate however very tired and a lot of the equipment is in need of updating, replacing and/or maintenance. We did not engage with or see the hosts at any time during our stay so did not require any service.

This was our last 3 night stay after our 2 week Tassie tour. First impressions were good. Lovely view & we could walk to dinner after a long drive. That said the bunks are only for young kids my 19 year old got up but couldn’t get down and the lower bunk sagged. My queen bed was great. The kitchen not practical for those that want to prepare a meal -best we could do was fried eggs & toast. The toilet & bathroom fan woke everyone up. Not sure if we would return but then we looked up & that confirmed a definite no! That said Sylvester the cat was lovely.

Highly recommended. The arrival to the accommodation was seamless and very convenient. Room was clean and extremely comfortable with a wonderful array of breakfast options. The view was beautiful from the room; we travelled with our dog “Taco” and he was very welcomed and accommodated for. The location was excellent and not far from town, waterfall and walkway. Definitely deserve a 5 star ⭐️ rating.

Laid back, comfortable roughness and perfect for what we needed. We booked one of the Adventure Suites with our 6 month old infant. There was just enough room in the bedroom for the supplied cot and some good storage to unpack our suitcases. We were kept cozy with good heaters in bedroom and living space, and the owner was very responsive when we had questions about booking with a baby, and a minor problem while we were staying. We made good use of the camp laundry and dryer! We loved the location being between Strahan and Regatta Point, it made us feel like more of the Gordon was open to us!
