One of the best choices that we made for our elopement was getting a cake from Gathered. Let me start with the taste. INCREDIBLE. I'm a cake lover and I would go far and wide to get some good cake. Not all cakes are the same. For a wedding cake, the main consideration is usually the aesthetic, but this ohemgee. This cake was so smooth in the mouth. The icing was creamy. It melted in my mouth like ice cream. The cake itself was light. This might be the perfect cake I've ever tasted. I'm glad I had more slices than I can admit 😆. I shared them, of course 🤪 One guest said the cake was well-balanced. And she's right. Not too sweet but delicious enough for you to remember it. Design-wise. Wow. Sarah made it very special. The intricate details she put in there. I wanted to hug her 🥰. Sarah worked with my suggestions and she made the process very easy. The cake was so beautiful. I love our cake. Best choice everrrr

Sarah made the most delicious wedding cake for us! She consulted with us before the wedding to find out what flavors, size, and design would be best for our needs. The cake was so good and absolutely beautiful! People were raving about her perfect buttercream at the wedding. It was important for me to support local businesses as vendors for our wedding and Sarah certainly delivered! I am also a regular for coffee and treats at Gathered and they have some of the best coffee and unique sweet in town.

Really cute shop and bakery! We had the chai spice cake and it was probably one of the best slices of cake we’ve ever had. Paired perfectly with the smooth and delicious pour over coffee. Highly recommend!

We ordered a wedding cake and cupcakes for our wedding from Gathered in June 2023. Sarah was amazing to work with. She was very friendly and made the process of ordering our wedding cake very easy and simple. She also quickly accommodated some of our dietary needs without issue. She delivered the cake and cupcakes on schedule and the end result was not only beautiful but delicious. If you aren't choosing Gathered Bakeshop, you are definitely making a mistake.

Even at the end of the day they still have some of their best stuff left! The brown butter cake and the olive oil marmalade cake were amazing. I had a bite of my friends Blackberry Cardamom cake and wish I would have got that too so good.

She took our ideas and created a wedding cake that was beyond our expectations, for both taste and appearance. We would highly recommend working with Sarah for weddings and events.

Fantastic sweets at this bakery. Cookies, shortbreads, Galletes, and more. All fresh and exceptionally baked! Great pour-over or press-pot coffee too. The servers are always friendly and helpful. This has been one a must-visit with every trip to Astoria.

We had our wedding cake made by Gathered in September and the experience was exceptional. Sarah helped us order our custom cake-- she walked us through the process, was upfront about cost and designs, and allowed us plenty of time to try out some of the flavors. Being from out of town, we gave short notice about wanting to try one of the flavors and it happened to not be available that weekend, but Gathered went above and beyond for us, in a way I could never expect, to ensure that we were able to try that flavor out for our wedding cake. The staff at Gathered are delightful and thoughtful. Working with them was just an incredible, stress free, and delicious experience.
