The Best New Orleans Tours, from Cemeteries to Street Art

"Lee Harvey Oswald lived in NOLA from April to September of 1963—just before the Kennedy assassination. This tour seeks to uncover just what exactly he was doing in New Orleans over about a mile of walking. People who like to ask questions and never stop learning will appreciate how compelling this tour is. Cynics and the easily bored, though, need not apply. In our opinion, this tour is so thorny and thought-provoking it's best experienced with no expectations at all." - Paul Oswell

Google
The small airboat tour with Garret was awesome! They picked us up at our hotel which made life extra easy! We saw so many gators, but honestly the rest of the wildlife and the area was beautiful and the air boat so much fun! A must do!

Google
The Ragin’ Cajun Airboat Swamp Tour was an unforgettable experience. Garrett was a fantastic guide—engaging, informative, and clearly passionate about the bayou. We saw alligators up close, learned so much about the swamp ecosystem, and enjoyed the thrill of the airboat ride. Highly recommend—especially with Garrett at the helm!

Google
We had a great tour with J as our tour guide! She was knowledgeable and hilarious. Getting the exclusive tour of the Oddfellows Cemetery was well worth the price paid. Would do it all over again!

I’ve been on multiple swamp tours from other companies which I enjoyed. But this swamp tour with Gators and Ghosts was THE BEST! I felt so immersed into the beauty of nature and felt so free. lol. Riding over the wetlands is such a treat. Don’t second guess going, it’s worth every penny ❤️

Google
This was a blast. Our tour guide was funny, chill & very knowledgeable about NO history. The locations & equipment just made the whole experience that much more fun. If you’re into paranormal stuff & want to feel like you’re in a Travel Channel ghost show. This is for you

Thilani Grubel

Google
The VIP tour with Kathryn is so worth it! She led a fantastic tour full of historical context and how that interacts with the horrors perpetuated here. Kathryn was energetic, informative, and helpful.

Had a great experience Thursday night on our ghost tour. Pepe was a GREAT guide and very funny. We very much enjoyed him, the tour, some of the history he shared and many of the great jokes he told. Definitely recommend to everyone!

Google
I would give 100 stars!! Gator tour was so memorable, as well as the ghost tour!!! Our guide was full of information and let’s just say, it’s all I talk about to friends and family!! I am from California and plan to visit again because I had such a wonderful experience in New Orleans!!!

Yelp
The Ghosts and Vampires tour was one of my most memorable parts of my trip to NOLA. Katherine is the BEST tour guide I have ever had (and I am a researcher so I've been on my share of tours). Katherine's love for the city is infectious and you leave the tour spooked and appreciative for those who made NOLA what it is. *This is not a gimmicky tour* it is based off historical facts! History is always scarier than fiction.

Yelp
Very friendly and communicative staff - from the customer service/booking agent, to the bus driver, to the tour guide. The price was reasonable and my group of 10 had a great time. It was a trip highlight!

Jen R.

Yelp
We booked an 830 AM city tour as we have one morning free to see the city before our flight home that day. The timing worked out perfectly. We really enjoyed this tour! Our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. He had amazing commentary as he described the background of what we were seeing out our window (on the drizzly morning tour). We got to see so much and I learned so much! It was nice to get outside for 2 stops as well. I highly recommend this tour and company if you want to have a fun and informative tour.

Yelp
AirboatAdventures.com Enjoy Jean Lafitte, LA aboard the Airboat Swamp Tours & Adventures via the Gators & Ghosts! Hotel pickup was smooth and easy. Ride safely to Marina. Check in and final payment a breeze. Clean bathrooms and water available to purchase. Our captain, Steve was fabulous! We were on a smaller boat and able to maneuver around the swamp and bayou! It was an overcast day as Hurricane Ida was churning in the Gulf ... we had encounters up close with the gators and got lots of stories and local lure!! It was our second time going and each time was great experience - continue to highly recommend!

Yelp
If I could give 0 I would. My husband booked 2 adults and 2 children for a gator and plantation tour. It cost $600. We waited at our hotel at 8:15am and the bus didn't come. We called and then the bus came at 8:45am. We proceeded to get on the bus and the driver took off and 5 minutes later driver told all of us very rudely to get off the bus. He said we only had 2 adult reservations (no kids) and acted like we tried to scam him. Despite us showing him our receipt for 4 paid reservations he said we have to call the company. He was talking to some women on the radio and she insisted we had a reservation for 2 and paid $300. So there we are on a bus and we call them they insist we were wrong. The driver nor the people on the phone wouldn't even take our booking number that showed we had 4 people. We insisted on giving them a confirmation number for 4 they said we were just out of luck. Then they had the gall to tell us we booked through a 3 party and we should have booked through them. We have a receipt directly from gators and ghosts (my husband has 7 emails from Gators and Ghosts company and made us call another number which they had a hard time finding. We called that number and the person said he booked all 4 of us. Not only did we not get to go on the tour, highly disappointing all of us but Gators and Ghosts insulted us that we booked incorrectly when I have a receipt from them. They quickly added they were full all week and we couldn't be rebooked. I would be very leery of doing any business with this company. I mean how can you not look a book numbering up? If you do have 3rd parties booking business for you should be able to look up the booking #.

Yelp
Amazing, is all I can say. So much fun. They took us to amazing places and explained everything very well and in detail (with cool southern accents). Fed the gators right in front of us, and stopped at plenty places and gave everyone plenty time to take pictures. Went fast with the airboats in the swamp and gave everyone a rush. Amazing experience 1000% recommend.

Yelp
I used this company to book my airboat tour and they were so accommodating. I changed my reservation at the last minute to the following day and they were great about it. So thankful for that. I used the pickup service and it was prompt and reliable. And pickedup/dropped off right in front of my hotel. The gator tour was amazing and so was out guide. Sadly I dont rememeber his name. We saw a few gators (they enjoy marshmallows). Being in the airboat was an experience in itself. Speeding through the swamp was sooo fun. They have a little gift shop inside with souvenirs and a few snacks. Also bathrooms. Hope to do another tour one day.

Yelp
So so happy we decided to go on this swamp tour! Our group did a private 6 person airboat ride. Our boat captain was super nice and entertaining! These boats are FAST AND FUN! Super glad we went with the airboat tour vs a regular boat We also opted for the round trip transportation option-- glad we did there is no where to park at the venue and I don't think Uber/Lyft can get into this place!

Yelp
Update: Their response states that I used inappropriate language to describe their horrendous driver. Not once did that happen. I'm appalled that the "owner" put this lie out there. I've shared my full email in the photos. This clearly shows how terrible this company is, they state lies to blame the customer and to damage my reputation. It's crazy. When Gary the driver was screaming at us, not once did we scream back or use inappropriate language towards him nor did I describe him using inappropriate language in my email to the company. Rude, unprofessional, and horrendous is what I stated and that is certainly not inappropriate language, it's an honest description of him and the behaviors displayed. It appears my email offended them and they cannot take feedback. Them stating they stand behind this behavior and then making up a lie shows that you need to stay clear of this company. The owner writes in the response, "apology" and stuff about caring about service, then they state they stand behind their rude driver, this is no apology. This is a slap in the face. Horrible people. Don't support a business that stands behind unprofessionalism (because they love the person so that makes it okay to scream at customers), which they put on full display with their response. I never asked for a refund. I asked how they would make this right and they never gave a sincere apology. All they've done and keep doing is try to justify that rude behavior is acceptable and try to place blame on me, the paying customer that spent money to provide them with paychecks. BEWARE!! DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY! If something goes wrong they will place blame on everyone else including you! I have an email from Gina M. from this company that states " we are a booking agency, and do not employ any guides or drivers." This basically means they are only responsible for taking your money, your driver can treat you how he wants to, best of luck to you on the tour. Our driver dropped my husband and I off for the Laura Plantation tour. We were the only two people taking this tour from this company. We were told our tour starts at 10:40am from the driver and from the tour guide, Logan, who also told us not to worry we can check out the museum and they would be sure to still get us. Well, we saw the museum and still had 10 minutes so we were sitting and waiting since 10:30am in the gift shop where they gather you for the tour. At 10:40am Logan says the tour will start in two minutes, they keep saying this until 10:53am, then he says all red and orange tickets holders, we have orange, to follow him. The tour actually begins at 10:55am. The tour ends at 12:18pm, the driver is literally SCREAMING and YELLING at us from the parking lot across the lawn at 12:19pm that we were screwing up his schedule, we're late, we're holding everyone up etc. It was insanely rude and unprofessional. I let the this company know and they responded with the statement above, but also claimed that our group took the wrong tour so it's our fault! Wtf?? And what group? It was me and my husband from Gator and Ghosts that got off this bus. There was no "group." We were where we were supposed to be following the direction of the employees. Regardless, we should not have been screamed at by the driver in the way that he did. Gator and Ghosts took no ownership at all, in fact they said they understand why the driver was frustrated for waiting for us and blamed us. Again, the tour ended and we got yelled at exactly one minute after the tour to go back to the bus. I don't understand how it's okay to treat your customers like that and for this company to then say too bad they don't care how the driver treats you because they only book and take your money. So, I'm supposed to know everyone involved is independent, but my money still goes to one place? I can understand the guide on the actual tour of the plantation having no affiliation with the Gators and Ghosts, but seriously I'm supposed to know the driver, who also collects final payment, is not part of your company either? It's BS. Stay away from this company. They are garbage!

Yelp
Walking tours can be hit or miss. Sadly, this one was a miss for us. We booked online the night before the tour and immediately received an email "pre-confirmation" that let us know they received our request for a booking and would get back to us with a final confirmation. Shortly thereafter, we received a receipt for a partial payment and a confirmation. The email said we would pay the remaining balance-in cash-to our tour guide. Had I known that was going to be the arrangement, I would have booked another tour, as I do not wish to carry cash and we had to make arrangements to get enough cash the night before for our morning tour. Our confirmation email advised us to meet out tour guide outside of the Beachcorner Bar & Grill 20 minutes prior to departure. We were there and saw nobody else. Just before the tour was scheduled to begin, I texted the number on the email and learned that the departure address had changed and we headed over to meet the group. Annoying, but we made it in time. The tour guide is the person who can make or break an activity such as this. We purposely booked this one because it was more educational than scary-we also liked the shorter duration of 90 minutes. However, after two hours and only 2/3 of the way through, we bailed out early. I appreciated learning some facts about the cemeteries, burial traditions and some of the history. But the guide spoke to us in a condescending manner, calling out a few people and speaking in a way that made me uncomfortable. She was over dramatic and went off on unscripted tangents frequently. It was hard to follow her-she'd start into something that seemed promising but would go down another strange path. She would probably be a fantastic actor on a stage. The cemeteries themselves were amazing and we enjoyed learning a few facts. Depending on your guide, your experience may vary greatly.

Yelp
The small airboat ride was GREAT. We were lucky to catch a warm, unrainy day during our long weekend in New Orleans last month, so we saw lots of gators. Gators and Ghosts is a booking agency for the actual tour company: Airboat Adventures in Lafitte, LA. This caused a bit of confusion when we were waiting for a GATORS AND GHOSTS bus for our morning hotel pickup -- there's no such thing. I eventually called the Gators and Ghosts phone number and they told me that the bus would actually say AIRBOAT ADVENTURES on the side. Oh. Good to know. Anyway, we had a blast. Plenty of gators, turtles, birds, and stuff, plus got to pass around a baby gator -- cool! If you're in New Orleans, you've GOT to do this!

Yelp
Incredibly experience from start to finish!! I called to make a reservation for a small airboat swamp tour a couple days before my group of four traveled to NOLA for Valentine's Day weekend. The phone call was seamless and I managed to add a hotel pick up and drop off to our booking. Day of, our tour bus arrived promptly and our driver gave us a call. The drive was smooth and everything went well. Now, onto the tour. It was absolutely great! Our guide was funny, down to earth and friendly. Our copassengers were also friendly and a good bunch to spend time with. We saw plenty of gators and had a thrill of an airboat ride. Dress warmly! It can get chilly on the boat! I highly recommend.

Colleen D.

Yelp
There were 6 people in our group and we had the small boat to ourselves. Danny was an amazing captain, he was very interesting and so personable. We saw many alligators, fed them marshmallows (yep), laughed, took pictures and video. We touched the gators and there may have even been a kiss or two on the alligators lips! We were more than satisfied, we were down right amazed! We would absolutely recommend this tour, you won't be disappointed! We did the transportation package and followed their detailed itinerary. We were picked up at the designated pick up spot right on time, it all went very smoothly! Great experience!!

Yelp
I went early May on a Friday afternoon and it was great! We saw many gators; and the tourist guide had a great personality and was very knowledgeable which made the tour so much better. I recommend this place, I would suggest you bring sunglasses or a hat if the day is hot. Otherwise, enjoy the experience :)

Yelp
We took the slower pontoon boat. I was worried that the faster air-boat things would be too fast and / or would cause me to take a lot of bugs to the face but it seemed that would have been an ok option for me and the kids. The tour guide was really nice and funny. We got to hold a baby alligator named Allie. The boat was very clean. Everything about the facility was nice and clean and organized. Good value.

jennifer P.

Yelp
i booked two tours with Gators and Ghost and honestly it was such a fun time! both tour guides were super funny and nice. loved how organized everything was and on time. definitely would book with them again when I go back!

Yelp
We had the best time today on the small airboat swamp tour (noon trip). We saw so many alligators, birds, turtles and raccoons. Our captain was funny and knowledgeable about everything we saw. A true animal lover. I highly recommend taking the small boat if you can-it felt much more personal, and we even got to hold a baby alligator. I definitely would use Gators and Ghosts again.

Garret M.

Yelp
The tour was great i had a ton of fun riding on the boat and our boat driver did his best to make the hole experience a very enjoyable one, i would recommend this to anyone who is interested

Max W.

Yelp
Fun, informative & good guide. I not only saw a lot of New Orleans, but learned so much of the history. Totally recommend.

Erika R.

Yelp
Cory was the best! Everyone on our airboat got along and interacted with each other we all shared beer and had an awesome time Cory knew where to spot 1 week old babies and showed us his favorite gator Goldie!
google avatar

Rebecca G.

Yelp
Such a fun time! My friend and I booked the airboat tour and are so happy we did. They were able to, easily, pick us up from our hotel in the French Quarter and drive us to the tour location. Check in was quick and easy. Every employee we met were extremely kind and helpful. The air boat was a great time! We were out on the water for about an hour and a half and were able to see a handful of alligators. Our boat Capitan definitely knew what he was doing and had a lot of facts and tid bits to share about the area and the wildlife. Overall it was an awesome adventure and can't wait to book again when we are back in town!
google avatar

Hailey R.

Yelp
So glad I booked this swamp tour when visiting NOLA! We got transportation to the swamp from our hotel on Bourbon St. which was a good idea! Our driver was super nice! Our tour guide was funny and made this experience a fun one! We saw alligators in the swamp, but the best part was actually being able to hold a baby gator! Definitely a must-do when in Nola!

Audrey N.

Yelp
I couldn't decide which airboat swamp tour to go on, so I decided to let Gators and Ghosts book it for me. They did not disappoint! We had a great time and am so glad we were able to book a medium sized airboat, which was a great experience and saved $200 for our family versus the smaller sized boat. It still was able to get through the narrow bayou passages as the small boats.
google avatar

Greg S.

Yelp
The swamp tour was an unforgettable experience , Danny the guide made this experience fun and educational with a unique point of view. Knowing you are at sea level and learning about a wide variety of animals that reside in the swamps. He gave us marshmallows to feed the alligators and bring them closer to the boat. 5 minutes into the ride we discovered a snake on the boat which added even more excitement. My husband sat with his legs on the seat. We are a gay couple and Danny treated us great.

Christos Z.

Yelp
A booking agency for local tour guides in the New Orleans area. They booked a swamp airboat tour for Ragin Cajun. Everything was fine and planned well.
google avatar

Jorge A.

Yelp
This was an awesome experience for us, our boat driver was very knowledgeable and this made our ride very pleasant, we were able to hold an actual -little- gator inside the boat... awesome experience too. We witness a -almost- hunt of a raccoon, one of the alligators was hunting a raccoon that was treating to eat a smash-mallow... fortunately nothing happen and the raccoon get back to the forest alive but it was awesome watching one trying to hunt and the other always trying to see where the alligator was. Good experience in general.

Yelp
I originally called and spoke to Kristine. I had tons of questions and she had tons of answers. After feeling comfortable with everything I pulled the trigger on the small boat tour with transportation. Don't think you'll take Uber or Lyft here it is isolated and will cost you the same if not more and add frustrations and long wait. We received an email few days with confirmation and a text the day before as well! Perfect when on vacation and on LA-Z-MODE! The bus picked us up at front and on time. It was a smooth and scenic drive. The gator tour was great Ricky Rich the tour guide is the real deal. This is HIS BACKYARD! He shared some cool facts and got to see about 5 gators on a slow day! One turtle, and a couple raccoons. I recommend the 6 boat tour it's smaller and more intimate. When walking in Bourbon St we noticed the stand and asked about ghost tour. Lo and behold it's Kristine and she remembered who I was. She asked if the tour was good and made us feel welcome. She gave us her recommendation and we did the ghost tour. The guide was funny, attentive, and you get your money's worth with the buy one get one free hurricane coupon! I will recommend to anyone coming down here ask for Kristine!

Yelp
Cancelled our appointment with no communication. Other visitors also recieved no emails or no phone calls about cancellation. Paid over $60 in travel fees to get here. Waste of time and money

Yelp
We took the swamp tour. Got picked up right from our hotel at 9 AM; shuttled to the place where the tour started; did the tour from 10:00-11:30; back to our hotel by 12:15. There were a few swamp tour options; we did the 10 person pontoon option. Reason being, with the smaller boat and smaller group there are 2 advantages: 1.) Can get into remote places of the swamp 2.) With the small group; the guide found it easy to talk to us each individually and answer our questions This is a well choreographed outfit - Gators and Ghosts teams with Airboat Adventures - handling all the administrative details. All we did was "sign up" and G&G did the rest. The guides and the site are all Airboat Adventures - and are locals to the bayous - having lived there their entire lives. There's no tourist cheesiness; very professionally done.

Yelp
I was in NOLA for a conference and had an open afternoon. A friend and I booked the city bus tour. When we were picked up we were the only two who were scheduled. I really appreciate that they made the effort to still give us a tour instead of cancelling like a lot of places would have. That time frame was the only one we had for the tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and personable and the driver made us feel comfortable and safe. I highly recommend using this company. If I had been there longer and had more free time I would have booked some of their other tours with them.

Yelp
IF YOU EVER ARE IN NEW ORLEANS AND WANT TO GO ON A SWAMP TOUR, come here and ask for Captain Matt! He took such good care of the girls and I!!! He was amazing, very knowledgeable and he cares a lot about gators, it shows!! HE MADE THE TOUR A HIGHLIGHT OF OUR VACATION!
google avatar

Nicole S.

Yelp
I only had one thing on my plan for my NOLA trip, and it was to do an airboat tour of the swamp. I googled once and came across Gators and Ghosts, and after seeing a video with a guide jumping right into the water with some gators, I knew I found the right place. We quickly booked a small boat (6-8 people) with the hotel pickup. Day of the tour it was pouring rain. We stopped to get breakfast before the rain started, and then didn't want to walk to the pickup area. I received a confirmation text from the driver earlier that morning, so I called and asked if he could pick us up at the restaurant down the block, and he had no issue, which was super nice. The hotel pickup was so easy and worth it. The rain slowed to just a little mist right as we boarded the boat. Seeing all the other boats boarding, I was SO happy we went with the small boat. No offense to the bigger boats, but that experience looked awful and I would pay all the extra money again for the small boat to have a more private experience. There were only six people on our boat, so we had good views any way we looked. Our driver gave a brief overview of the trip, and then we were off speeding through the swamp. If it's raining, I definitely recommend wearing sunglasses or glasses because the rain becomes little pelts flying into your eyeballs. The boat moves so fast and easy through the water, I was smiling or laughing the whole time. We stopped to watch a gator swim around for a bit while our driver gave us some facts on the area and gators. We probably saw 10 or so alligators the whole trip, but all pretty small. Due to the rain and a bit of chilly water, it was expected. We also got to hold a little baby gator that our driver is taking care of until he turns 3 years old. So fun, and Al the Alligator was so chill. I loved the whole experience and would like to do it again when the weather is better.

Yelp
I can not explain how wonderful of an experience this whole thing was. From booking to the tour, everything was great! We booked a private gator airboat tour with a group of 13, when you book a private a boat you are allowed to bring small coolers with drinks. We only saw one gator, but I promise you we could have saw zero and still had a wonder time! The views and the ride are worth the money alone. Tip: book the round trip transportation from your hotel, they informed me over the phone that many people use Uber to get out there but unfortunately have a VERY hard time getting back. The shuttle was easy and convenient, our driver Stacy even gave use facts about New Orleans during the drive. Corey was our airboat driver and he was amazing! Hilarious and informative! My group could've stayed with him all day!

Yelp
We did swamp tour with Oak alley combo. It was really great price with awesome tour guide. Highly recommended.

Yelp
From the booking to the boat docked it was a great experience!! The airboat does not have covering but if you want the full experience, task the risk of being hot and possibly a few rain drops. The bigger platoon boats don't get the full experience, it's more of a water tour than a gator tour! Brad was our captain and being with him alone was work every moment despite the rain sprinkles for a few minutes!! He was extremely knowledgeable, very down to earth and felt like family! I read the other reviews online before booking this company and they didn't disappoint! The 5 STAR Reviews have been earned by the memories they help others create. Brad helped my family and I check a box off the bucket list and we will remember this experience for years to come!! It was my mother's 60th Birthday trip and she held a gator and had a smile as big as the waterway we were on thanks to Brad!!

Angelic G.

Yelp
Came down to New Orleans for my birthday & this swamp tour was #1 on my list. I had such a great time, from the time we got on the boat till we left. The staff was amazing & so nice. Our tour guide was lit I loved him he actually made the tour even better. Very knowledgeable and funny definitely give him 5 stars as well. Will be back for sure!!!

Yelp
100%. Excellent tour. Friendly staff. Great equipment. I highly recommend the small boat tour, with transportation. It was plenty long, and we got to see lots of different alligators and other swamp life. Stop looking and book here!
google avatar

Hunter S.

Yelp
To begin, the purchase process was easy. This company also has hotel pickup and drop off, which is super convenient. Our tour guide, Steve, explained that it is the off season for gators and other critters (it was in the 40s and December), but he really went out of his way to take us to all the spots he thought gators might be lurking. Because he really took his time, we saw several gators, eagles, cranes, and pelicans. He told us about the landscape, explained how the boat works, and was a skillful captain. Worth the money even on a cold day.

Yelp
We had an amazing time. We booked the small boat tour. The gentleman who gave us the tour (forgot his name) He was great, very knowledgeable and kind...Highly recommend this place to others. It was a great 1st time experience.

Yelp
René and I did the Haunted Asylum Tour, last night. Personally I think the name should be changed because when we saw "haunted asylum" on the website we thought of a haunted mental institution or a hospital where unconventional experiments and procedures were done on people not an orphanage for children. That being said, we did make contact with some spirits using the cool gadgets. Our guide, Alexa, was great. She spoke about her background and her experiences and she was very knowledgeable about the orphanage. The tour was almost 2 1/2 hours and we visited 3 rooms. We got to use the tools and do a mini investigation ourselves, without Alexa which was fun. We didn't have any expectations since this was our first time encountering spirits. The fact that we were able to interact with a couple of spirits was worth the money to us. At the end of the tour we asked Alexa if the spirits are more active at the later (10 pm) tour. She said that the 7 pm tour has more active spirits so we picked the best time. Today, René and I did the gators tour. It was amazing. I can't remember our guides name but we were on boat 5. He gave a great show on the water and was very knowledgeable about the swamp and the wild life that inhabits it. We saw gators, turtles, and different types of birds. The time went by fast and nothing but positive feedback. This tour is worth 5 stars!!

Yelp
We went on the 8:00 ghost tour with Yahyah and had so much fun! I loved that we got the bogo drinks from the voodoo lounge, and our guide really brought everything to life

Yelp
My wife and I did both a Ghost/Vampire Tour and the Gator Airboat. The Ghost Tour was a ton of fun and very informative. I was a bit skeptical at first, but I strongly suggest engaging with the city's history via tours, whether it be the Katrina tour, general city tour, or the haunting tour. The guide took us through the French Quarter to explain various haunted hotels, the famous LaLaurie mansion, and some vampire related spots. Overall, very informative and filled with funny tidbits! Our Bayou Tour was also a ton of fun. We opted for the medium sized airboat (instead of the large or small), and ended up with only four people on the boat (I think it fits around 16?) while the smaller boat was packed with 8 or so people, so we got a semi-private tour! Our guide was hilarious and showed us several tricks with the gators and dispelled any notion of their "dangerous" disposition. Well worth the money and I strongly recommend!

Yelp
My friends and I went to New Orleans during Essence Festival and wanted to do a swamp tour before the end of our trip. I booked the day before (Friday evening) right before close for a Saturday afternoon airboat tour. The person I worked with on the reservation was very helpful, accommodating and flexible. He even offered to call me back with further options and did so. I paid the deposit over the phone. We opted out of the transportation service and took an Uber instead. The ride wasn't too long from the convention center and splitting the fare made it fairly priced. My group of 6 took a 16 passenger airboat ride with other groups. We were able to pay the remainder of the price separately. Joining with other parties I think made the experience a little more fun. It's also the cheaper option, so if you think that you need to get a small airboat because you have a small group, you don't have to, if you're open to riding along with people you don't know. Our tour guide was the absolute best! Shame his name is slipping my mind, but I included his picture. He's so knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. He had all of us laughing when he engaged with us and was able to answer all of our questions. This was the perfect time of year for this as the gators were out and about!! We were able to get a Lyft back to our AIRBNB. We had to wait about 25 minutes but that was expected considering how far out we were. I'd recommend the airboat tour to anyone interested in going on a swamp tour.

Yelp
What an adventure! This is my second time taking this airboat tour. The tour guide was professional and knowledgeable, the entire experience was unforgettable. We saw many alligators and raccoons. I highly recommend and I will definitely be back.

Yelp
We used Gators and Ghosts Tour Company to visit Oak Alley Plantation. Everything went so smoothly. The transport was in front of the hotel at the assigned time. Our driver, Ray was knowledgeable and kept us entertained throughout the drive. Oak Alley was amazing to see. Wish we could have had more time but I understand the time constraints with others going on to a swamp tour. The drive back to New Orleans was smooth and we were returned to our hotel. I would recommend this tour company. They kept in touch and kept us informed with reminders.

Yelp
Very professional staff! Easy to book, very quick confirmation and communication with the company. Pick up time and hotel was spot on along with drop off at the hotel. Thoroughly enjoy the fan boat tour, great captain who explained everything about the boat, the bayou and alligators. We were on the water for about 1 3/4 hours, not only did we catch a 3 and 1/2 foot gator, but we all had the chance to hold him, yes it was a him! :) we did have beautiful weather, 65 and sunny, I can't imagine doing this with no sun or warmer weather, never In the rain. 1 more thing, please tip the captains, we had a number of people on our boat that didn't leave a thing! :( Highly recommended tour!
