We were on a one way cruise through the older original locks. What a very neat and cool experience. The best part of our trip through the locks was the cruise ship had a guest speaker over the pa system telling us a lot of information and history of the locks and the area. We want to go back and explore more of Panama now.

Very well run for our sailboat to pass through the locks. The maintainence looks pristine from the canal. I would definitely visit from land if the opportunity came up.

This is a wonderful spot to watch ships come past. You are quite close to the ships and it is peaceful

I used to live near the area when I was stationed at Fort Sherman, Panama in the 80s. I went back to visit with my sister in 2024 and will visit again in December 2025 with my daughter. The Panama Canal is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. It is even more special when you go through both locks on the Atlantic and the Pacific sides on a cruise ship.

Only way to experience the locks of the Panama canal. Go through the old locks

Not the most visited or popularly acknowledged part of the Panama Canal (that would be Miraflores Locks), but it should be because it's the largest, has the best views of Lake Gatun, and it has the prettiest natural sightings. (Slightly biased because I'm from the Caribbean)

An awesome experience to cross the Canal and Gatun Locks, get a cabin on level 5 or 6 and enjoy an up close view of your ship passage. You’ll want to return and grab a different spot for new photos.
