Ibiza Restaurants Are as Incredible as Its Beaches

"A family-owned, bohemian-chic boutique hotel in the small town of Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera featuring 20 suites and an intimate rooftop terrace and pool; situated in a town of young families, cozy homegrown restaurants, cute boutiques, and bustling cafés, the hotel places guests within easy walking distance of local eateries (and near a vegan café that draws locals and visitors alike). The property does not have its own restaurant, and travelers should note that taxis and rideshare options on the island can be limited, so renting a car can make exploring easier." - Leila Najafi

We were staying there for a cousins wedding which was just down the road. The hotel was lovely - great rooms, lovely roof terrace bar with a pool. Perfect location for all the local bars and restaurants. ||Comfortable bed, great shower / bathroom. |The staff were all awesome. Super friendly and very helpful. ||I had 1 issue which is that I could not work the blind very well. That is definitely my issue though 😀. ||The location of Santa Gertrudis is so central you can get anywhere on the island quickly. ||I’d thoroughly recommend it.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and my experience was far from satisfactory. Room 101 was directly adjacent to a restaurant, which stayed open late into the night. Unfortunately, this meant I could hear everything - from loud conversations to clearing up the tables. Despite being exhausted from traveling, getting a good night's sleep was impossible. The noise started around dinner time and continued past midnight. I tried to drown it out with earplugs, but they barely made a difference. I called the front desk to request a room change, but they were fully booked and couldn't accommodate my request. The staff apologized, but that did little to help the situation. The room itself was decent, but it didn't matter because the noise overshadowed any positive aspects. If you're looking for a restful stay, avoid this hotel, or at least make sure your room is far from the restaurant.

What can we say about this amazing hotel, its beautiful, we stayed in a Suite for 6 nights and it was absolutely perfect, the room was very bright, spacious and airy with a little balcony overlooking the side street which got the sun during the day. Our room was spotless and cleaned to a high standard everyday. The staff were lovely, special shout out to the Reception staff, who were very helpful, arranging a hire car for us, as well as dinner reservations, taxis and pointing out all the places to visit while exploring Ibiza. The roof top pool area is perfect for finishing your day with a mojito. If you haven’t been to Santa Gertrudis, we recommend you go and stay at Gatzara Suites, located in such a beautiful village with amazing restaurants. We will be back!

First for the positive: the hotel is beautifullly and stylishly decorated in a very good location and the staff are very friendly. However for me, with hotels at this high price point, it’s the little details and customer care that make a difference. Unfortunately this hotel offers close to nothing in this respect and it feels like the owner/ manager has gone out of their way to save every penny possible. Some examples below:|- No breakfast - deal with next door café for a tiny discount, but need to pay separately. Not even a bottle of water in your room or fruit to pick up|- Bar only open from 6pm. We were there at 6.30 and still no one there|- Basically, nothing is available during the day. There is a big beautiful space when you enter where they used to serve breakfast, but because there is nothing/ no one, in the end it ends up feeling like the entrance of a Holiday Inn.|- Internet terrible - takes around 30mins to download an app, took me 2hrs to fill some online forms because it kept disconnecting |- Gym: no towels, no water. Big space, but very few machines incl. no treadmill, cross trainer or weight machine. There are strict limits on number of people due to COVID, but they have external people coming in for classes, de-prioritizing hotel guests.|- Pool on terrace is beautiful, but if you come in off season it is freezing cold with no heater and therefore virtually unusable. Also no towels around, absolutely zero service up there during the day or evening |If the owner spent half the effort s/he put on decoration into customer service, it would be a fabulous hotel. Pity that after 4 nights here we are left with the feeling that there is no thought put into customer needs. For the price we paid, I can’t recommend this hotel.

Disappointing experience. That is how I would describe the overall sentiment after a 4 day stay. Let’s start with the positive. Most of the staff is friendly, the location is quite good and central if you wish to explore more of the island and there is private parking under the hotel. We booked the room directly on the hotel’s website and they promote all kinds of perks to those who do. Late checkouts, welcome presents, etc. We got exactly non of it aside from the parking which from what we heard is pretty much free for anyone as long as there is space. On the website there is a whole section talking about the local and sustainable breakfast. Well, there is no breakfast at all. Not even an option. Instead you get to enjoy the breakfast at a nearby restaurant where you will receive a 10% discount. But as a couple drinking a juice, a coffee and get something to eat the bill was between €40 and €50 euro per day. The website promotes late checkout upon availability for those who book through the website directly. Partly true. It will come with an €80 price tag so keep that in mind. The welcome present? All these hidden costs did definitely sweep me off my feet as they describe on their site. Unless the bottle of water in the room was the welcome gift. The swimming pool was simply dirty and looked like it had not been cleaned for weeks. There is a bar next to the rooftop pool but it is not open during the day. So forget a drink while enjoying some sunbathing time. The elevator was broken which was quite inconvenient. Can happen, but was annoying since the car park can only be accessed via the elevator. The rooms are very basic. Materials feel cheap and the blanket smelled dusty and moldy. The shower is nice, so points there. All the rest feels like a budget hotel desperately trying to make it look nice. All in all, considering all the hidden costs that are included in many other hotels in the area the value for money is waaaay off. More luxurious hotels offer a better experience at the same price if you factor in the cost of the non included breakfast. Although the staff is friendly they did not show any signs of actually wanting to make our stay more memorable in a positive way. By the decisions they make they are also not showing they care about the guest experience and instead set false expectations, which leads to disappointment

I would like to give a quick feedback on my stay. This is the worst price/quality experience I have done. For 4 nights we couldn’t sleep because of the noise coming from the street, water pipe and neighbours. The bed and pillow are very uncomfortable and didn’t help to have a rest. Moreover for one day we couldn’t even shower because we didn’t have hot water in the room. We didn’t even have water or coffe in the room…not even breakfast was included. It’s just not the service and quality you expect when you pay those prices. Without mentioning the tinny room we got. The guy at the reception told us he would give us 5% discount because of the bad experience, but unfortunately we also didn’t see any reduction on our final invoice.

My sister and I stayed for 10 nights and can’t say more about how welcoming and helpful the staff at reception are. From booking and cancelling restaurant reservations, to suggestions of their favourite beaches etc. ||The room was lovely and the design was perfect. It was a joy to come back to a clean room after a day out. Thank you Housekeeping. Our room was a little noisy in the morning due to the restaurant downstairs setting up. But goes with the territory. ||Great location, 25 minute drive to most places on the island, great restaurants, cafes and stores in the village.

This is a really cool hotel situated in what must be one of the best villages/towns in Ibiza. Brilliant welcome, really friendly staff and light and spacious rooms with a roof top terrace with plunge pool and bar. They don’t do food apart from breakfasts which isn’t a major problem as great places to eat locally but if there was a negative there was no staff when we stayed offering drinks on the roof terrace during the day|or indeed did it open at 5pm each night when they said it would. One night there was a bbq but we were out so couldn’t check it out. You are left alone on the whole and it isn’t huge so nice and quiet but preferable to be able to get a cold beer and a club sandwich if spending the day on the roof by the pool. Would definitely stay here again if visiting the island....
