Beware of unexpected charges at checkout! We were charged for daily breakfasts we didn't eat simply because the hotel doesn’t check room numbers for people attending the buffet. When we requested a refund, the concierge refused, saying it would be “our word against theirs” because they don't check room numbers for the buffet. We had prepaid for the room, and at no point during booking or check-in were we provided details for the breakfast or informed that it would be charged regardless of whether we ate it or not. Very disappointing that the hotel's failures to communicate become charges for their guests - the hotel needs to be far more transparent about its charges. I can't recommend and won't be back!

Gaustadblikk Fjellresort is a beautiful mountain hotel that truly delivers in terms of comfort, views, and amenities. The superior rooms are highly recommended – they are stylish and modern, with large windows offering a magical view of Gaustatoppen. There’s a sense of peace and quiet here that makes the stay especially relaxing.||The hotel’s spa area is well-equipped and soothing, featuring a lovely jacuzzi and a sauna located in the locker room. It’s worth noting that the popular saunas by the water are not included in the hotel’s spa access but can be rented separately for an extra experience.||The rooms are generally very nice, though some may feel a bit stuffy and warm, even when using the air conditioning. Keep in mind that the A/C shuts off automatically if you open the window, which can be a little inconvenient on warmer days.||As for the dining experience, the restaurant maintains a high standard. We enjoyed a delicious three-course dinner, and the breakfast buffet was both varied and satisfying, with plenty of options for different tastes.||All in all, Gaustadblikk Fjellresort is a highly recommended destination for relaxation and nature experiences, especially if you’re looking for breathtaking views and great facilities in peaceful surroundings.

We spend one night here but really enjoyed every thing about the hotel.|The wooden interior and design furniture really makes the ambiense very nice and relaxing.|The restaurant had very nice service and a very good winelist if you ask for the cellarlist. |We definatly would like to come back

Whether sipping a drink by the bar or enjoying a quiet conversation, the lounge feels both luxurious and homely. Highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort and style in the heart of nature.

That's a nice place to visit with family, beautiful nature around, great service, wonderful breakfast with a view on the mountain top. Indoor pool and playroom for kids. Value exceed expense here, definitely recommend to go here 😊

A really nice hotel, the food was excellent, the staff was very nice and what a location. And, I slept the whole night, the beds are insannaly good-Thumbs up. I really would like to go back😁

We were charged for a daily breakfast buffet we weren't given details for and didn't attend, simply because the hotel doesn’t check room numbers for people attending the buffet! We'd emailed the hotel to book and pay for our room in advance, and at no point during booking or check-in were we informed about the breakfast buffet or that we'd be charged regardless of whether we ate it or not. On checkout when the charges suddenly appeared, we requested a refund but the concierge refused, saying it would be “our word against theirs” since they don't check room numbers at the buffet. This kind of underhanded practice is illegal in many countries but obviously not in Norway.
