The people at the information point are very kind and willing to help, they also have maps for other sites in the citiy so you should go here first if you are a tourist in the city. The place is perfect for learning science, it tells you stories and data while showing you graphics, images, or even interactive istanaltions. The structures are part of the old building so they are always good for some pictures. It also had some art exhibition. The place has a Cafeteria inside. I really liked the idea of being free entry but kids use it to play soccer and Hide'n'seek inside., so they should control that.

This is one of the most unusual museums I have visited and is a great example of how former industrial site was transformed into an art and cultural space. I think it can be excellent to be used as a co-working space, where you may come with laptop and spend sometime working on the projects. You may have lunch there as well in Beltur cafe. In the past, this place was a gasworks facility, essential for Istanbul’s energy supply. Today, it stands as a museum that preserves its industrial heritage and at the same time showcasing contemporary art and exhibitions. It was a truly interesting and unique experience. Far away from historical city center, it would be more convenient to go there by car.

Beautifully done facilities. They have museums, coffee, shops, open air objects to explore. Nowadays, they have a wonderful show about Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in one of the two museums.

The three stars are for the climate change exhibition. The rest of the site appears to have not been finished, with everywhere else closed off apart from the gallery (and cafe). Worth going for the climate exhibition if you are nearby, but I wouldn't make a special journey for it.

What a wonderful place! It has a museum, a coffee shop, a bookstore, and beautiful open-air sculptures that make it so enjoyable to explore. I was really impressed by how they turned an old coal gashouse into such a creative and inspiring space. Every corner feels unique and full of character.

A beautiful and creative urban transformation of a former coal gashouse facility into great public places including an art gallery, performance stages, a climate museum, bookstore with a large selection, cafe, sculptures, and a playground.

As far as the free museums go it's one of the best (The best one is the Smithsonian in Washington). Some displays were out of order, but the whole place is educational and informative. We learned new things about global warming and its effects. They also have cafes and bathrooms for short breaks. Knowing that this place used to supply gas to my childhood home is another level of nostalgia.

So so incredible. The only thing is I couldn’t find the museum store, I wanted to donate, and I wish there were boxes. And it was FREE
