According to its foundation deed of trust, it was built in 1577 by Lala Mustafa Paşa, and is one of the finest examples of Ottoman hamam architecture and culture. After long years in operation as the "Paşa Hamam, Pasha Hammam," it was restored into a museum, bringing to life the hamam culture of Gaziantep.
