Gecko Lodge

The lady at the reception is truly amazing and kind-hearted. Her service at the hotel is exceptional, making the stay even more enjoyable. Interestingly, she is also a cook at the Chinese restaurant, and her cooking skills are just as impressive. I highly recommend trying the food she prepares—you won’t be disappointed!

We stayed in the Penthouse Suite. It must be the original owners’ premises – it is upstairs and is a huge 2 bedroom apartment. It was clean and comfortable with great facilities – including a big deck and kitchen. The hosts are very welcoming – with a nice healthy breakfast – fruit, yoghurt, cereal, toast etc as well as cakes for afternoon tea. A great base in Kalbarri.

We stayed for two nights in their two bedroom unit. It was clean and very well appointed with everything you need, including a washing machine, bbq, and a nice covered patio. This unit has a designated parking spot which was nice. The included breakfast was very good, fresh fruit, in-house made bread, and nice coffee.

Had a super nice stay here after a small hiccup (everyone, check if you have booked via agida. The business has long cancelled their contract and agoda has not informed their customers! Luckily they still had a room for me). The room was very clean and nicely appointed. Loved the small searing area out front. Sha prepared a nice breakfast with fresh fruit, coffee and toast. The pool could be a bit warmer ;-) Free parking and all in all a lovely stay.

Best service I've ever received, perfect for a romantic weekend away, pristine clean, every detail is taken care of. Homemade cake for afternoon tea and homemade bread every morning,Close to beach, national Park and town. Will definitely be returning multiple times 🥰

What a lovely experience. From the spotless rooms to the amazing afternoon tea to the incredible continental breakfast. |Shey and her family set an amazing level of hospitality. From the welcome, to being able to have an independent barbecue dinner to THE best bowl of fruit for breakfast. Plus the homemade bread. We felt so welcome and so thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks to Shea and her family for making our stay so wonderful.

Great place, lovely staff. Could do wirh a bit of a facelift in some places, but overall clean and tidy! Would stay again and again. Really enjoyed our time here

Our 4 night stay at Gecko Lodge was outstanding in our 5 week trip in WA. A warm welcome from Sha, followed by a home cooked afternoon tea set the theme for our whole stay and the friendly manner of all the staff. The gecko motifs throughout, including a plush toy on our pillow, were a lot of fun.|The bed was beautifully comfortable and the room well designed...everything worked so well, including laundry facilities available easily.|The breakfast with a huge bowl of fruit and freshly baked bread is taken in a light and airy breakfast room. Cooked breakfast also available and it kept us going all day!|The common facilities, BBQ, pool and loungeroom were all spotlessly clean and spacious.|Thank you Sha, family and staff for a truly memorable stay. Coupled with Kalbarri's natural wonders, we will certainly recommend Gecko Lodge.
