Geiger Key Marina, RV Park & Fish Camp

The Geiger Key Fish Camp is perfect! It is tucked back in the mangroves and has a laid back Key vibe. We ate here twice on our recent vacation. It is super dog friendly. Our pups were excited to go back for a second time. They enjoyed massive hambugers off of the doggie menu. Eve was our waitress both times and was an awesome server. From the smoked fish dip, to the swordfish special, to hogfish tacos and the cocktails everything was delicious!

Excellent restaurant next to the water. The vibe was fantastic, and the food was delicious. We got the grouper reuben and seared tuna tacos and they were both very filling and excellent. Such a fun location to eat at.

Geiger Key Marina is a classic Keys spot with gorgeous waterfront views and a relaxed, local vibe. I actually worked here years ago and it is great to see it is still just as welcoming and laid-back. This visit with my kids was fantastic. Our server, Evan, was sweet, attentive, and gave excellent recommendations. The hogfish tacos and hogfish sandwich were delicious. My son loved his black beans and rice and the strawberry coconut mojito was perfect. The real cherry on top was Evan bringing out some fish food for my son to feed the fish, which became the highlight of his trip. He cannot stop talking about it. The only minor downside for me personally was that they allow cigarette smoking right next to diners. I am extremely sensitive to the smell, and it immediately gives me a headache. If that bothers you, it’s something to know before visiting. For most people, it probably won’t be an issue. Everything else—the food, service, and atmosphere—is excellent.

Came by early one Saturday morning for breakfast, a little off the beaten path, but so worth it! Geiger Key Marina is one of those rare places that still feels laid back, welcoming, and truly connected to the Keys. The staff are friendly and genuinely care about the people who pass through. Being surrounded by mangroves and open water makes it a beautiful place to bring visitors or if by yourself enjoy the scenery. The service at the bar is excellent with attentive bartenders, great drinks and they’re dog friendly! You can buy bait, ice, or book a kayak tour! There’s a strong sense of community here and it really shows. If you’re looking for a restaurant, marina, or rv park that feels Keys authentic, relaxed, and is run by good people this is a special spot.

We had a reservation at Geiger Key Marina from December 28–31 and paid a deposit in advance. We booked specifically for tent camping. At the time of booking, there was no clear disclosure on their website that tent camping was not allowed. On the day of arrival, while we were already traveling and about four hours away, we were informed that tent camping was not permitted. By that point, the Florida Keys were completely booked, leaving us with no realistic alternative nearby. The campground offered to allow one night only, but required us to move the next day. That partial offer didn’t resolve the situation, as we would still need to secure lodging on the mainland and add several hours of unplanned driving. We ultimately had to rent a hotel off the Keys, resulting in significant disruption to our plans and roughly six extra hours of daily round-trip travel to attend events we had already planned. Despite the campground being unusable as booked, no refund was issued, and communication afterward was minimal. The location itself may be fine for RVs, but tent campers should be extremely cautious. Policies like no tenting should be clearly disclosed before taking deposits, not communicated on the day of arrival. The way this situation was handled left us disappointed and out the deposit.

Food, Location, Quality & Staff are Amazing. But Tracy, at the bar, stands out above and beyond. (She must have a great Mom:) This place (and the other two, Hogfish and Roostica) are a don’t miss while in the Keys!

The location was perfect for a sunset meal by the water. Gorgeous views, very nice atmosphere, and delicious food. The key lime pie is the best I've had yet in the keys, and the key lime colada was delicious as well. Good prices for the area as well and I really loved the vibe of the place.

Nice employees! So helpful in getting us out on the water. We paid $5 per person to launch from here. Their person helped us with mapping out where to go and launching our paddle boards. He also helped us when we got back by washing our boards and carrying stuff to our car. Make sure to bring some cash with you to tip these guys when you visit!

We stayed recently at their RV Park and really enjoyed our stay. My husband unfortunately though became ill and the park staff especially Shannon went above and beyond to help me in my time of need. Being 1400 miles away from home, trailer, car and two dogs and a very sick husband we truly appreciated the his acts of kindness. We will definitely be back this time when Scott is healthy! =)

Great locals place right on the water. This is a marina/restaurant/RV park. Delicious local seafood. Fish tacos, seafood po-boy, conch chowder, conch fritters, shrimp quesadillas, they have a seafood Ruben with sauerkraut and 1000 islands dressing that I'm told is wonderful...but I didn't try it.

Every time we are in the keys it is a must to stop here. But going forward it won't be for food ; maybe a drink but that's it. The location is tucked away and it's mostly locals that know about the place unless you are staying at their campground. My husband ordered a grouper Reuben sandwich and it was dry and the fish looked over fried. I ordered the portobello mushroom sandwich which was pathetic. One barely medium mushroom cap on lots of bread and no flavor. Now I will close that the conch fritters were large, you could find the conch and you got about 8. Maybe I would order those again with a drink.

Went up from Key West. Great food, view and service. Worth the trip. Launched our kayaks from the public launch down the street Will be back!

It's a tight spot for bigger RVs but the staff was great and the restaurant that services the campground is really good. They keep the restrooms clean and the facilities.

Anymore, we don't often make it off the main island on vacations to Key West. Thankfully, this trip, a friend with a car wanted to take a brief road trip and had heard of this spot on Geiger Key. First, this place is tucked back in the trees on the islands leading into Key West. One would never know it's there unless you're looking for it. Second, it's the epitome of life in the keys...a fish camp, restaurant, RV park, marina and a spot to go kayaking/paddle boarding all in one. How cool! Given we were really just on a getaway, we didn't order a meal per se. However, we snagged a spot overlooking the water and grabbed a few beers, some pulled pork nachos and some conch fritters. Yeah, made for the perfect keys afternoon. The location is gorgeous. Right where a couple canals through the mangroves meet and where the channel out to the open ocean comes in. Got to see lots of boats come and go as well as watch their innovative "kayak launch" operation in action. The business itself was cool. The appetizers we ordered were delicious (and huge) and had no problem procuring beers. They seemed to have an ample following as an RV park, too. Why not? Great spot. Definitely worth venturing off the beaten path to check this place out.

The place is no frills, and quiet in the campground. The lot is a coral type gravel and was great keeping the sand/dirt from coming into the RV. The Shower (1 stall) was not separated from the restaurant guests, except by a small shower curtain. No privacy at all. I chose to shower in my RV. Full hook-ups a plus. Access to the food, music and bar is a great plus. Live music stops "about" 10pm. Very reasonable. As usual with The Keys - folks are soooo nice. The location is just plain perfect to pop down to Key West anytime you wanted. Also, this marina is a mile from Geiger Beach which added to our enjoyment. Seaweed galore, but a lovely quiet spot to soak up the sun, beach and snorkel. If you stay here - be sure to pop down to the beach in our car.

5 star views, cozy & private (gated) campground with local entertainment and outdoor activities just a walk from your site. Our site had its little own cabana hut and steps into the clear beautiful water. Lot of fishing, lobster or crab catching, kayaking & many other water sports. At the restaurant, they have a cleaning statue and will cook your catch!! OMG- do give the Conch fritters a try if you stop at the restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay and will come back. The views were 360 with the perfect weather. Full hookup, super clean, and friendly community. Just look at the posted unfiltered pictures, it speak for themselves. I can see where they must get booked fast so make sure you call way in advance. This campground is competitive to the other private campground in the Keyes. We will be back for sure!!

I will always remember this charming little camping spot. The good: You can literally park on the marina, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. You can watch the SUP boarders and canoes glide right past you, close enough to speak to them. The view is amazing, although, since it is oriented to the South, you miss any sunset views. We even saw a three foot long nerf shark glide under us at the dock next to our rv. My wife exclaimed: sure glad that we didn't venture out into the water! The restaurant is charming, in a fun, gritty way. The food is outstanding. The seafood is, well, fresh. You can see fish swimming below your feet from the restaurant, so it doesn't much fresher than that! The lady that takes reservations is friendly, funny, and sincere. The neighbors were kind and laid back. We really liked that. Thank goodness, as we were in dorm-room proximity. The difficult: OMG, this place is tight and hard to get to. Take a wrong turn and you dead end with low lying electrical wires scraping your rv. Once there, it took us about a half an hour to wriggle our rv into our incredibly tight parking spot, after performing many small serpentine maneuvers to get in. Leaving was even harder, as we had to impose on three neighbors blocking the way, in order to be able to back out of our spot. It wasn't actually possible to park there without being up against at least two small palm trees. Typical of the Keys, I imagine, there were tons of biting mosquitos and the heat and humidity would get you soaking wet in 10-15 minutes. And this was mid-May. Summary: I wouldn't recommend this for a full size rv. The pain and risk of getting in and out probably doesn't warrant it. We were in one of only two full size rv's. Something like a compact Feather River R-Pod would be perfect. One neighbor had a tent on top of their Jeep. That also looked to be a perfect solution! We will definitely return. Probably earlier in the year so we can avoid the heat, humidity, and mosquitos. We'll willingly suffer the small parking spaces, and the congestion of getting into the camp site, because the view is really nice and the food at the restaurant is good and not fussy.

This is our 2nd time living here year round. It's a nice community to Rv full time. There's a bar/restaurant to cook ur catch at right on the water. Not to kid friendly buts that's fine with us, have no kids that don't have 4 leg's. Enjoy ur stay

We are now coming to the end of our Key West adventure. We hate to leave! This is a small RV Park with a small marina restaurant on site. We had just come from Key Largo and stayed at a very snooty RV Park and this couldn't be more different. Such welcoming and lovely people here. Our RV was parked literally across a small canal from the open air restaurant and I was worried for a second that it was going to be noisy or whatever but I was wrong. Never bothered us a bit, except that the yummy smells of grilled food made us hungry all the time! I can't recommend this place enough and hope to come back someday.

Answered phone quickly, very helpful, great recommendations. This will be our first trip to the Keys and are looking forward to staying in our motorhome on the water. Website was great

Absolutely love this little Gem! The RV park is clean, comfortable and the tiki huts are a great plus. No pool unfortunately, but the canal behind the waterfront camp sites is a fun place to swim and has access ladders. Beth at the RV park office is spectacular!!!!! What an amazing lady, always so helpful and with a great attitude and smile for all the customers. Bathrooms on site are clean and have nice large showers. Only letdown for me was that the washers take a long time to fill, but may just have been the washer I chose. However I did find a great wash and fold (Truman launderette) and that was convenient since I'm on vacation :) We also love the restaurant!! Food is fresh and delicious. We ate here several times during our stay and the food was always great. Restaurant staff is also very friendly and attentive. We cannot wait to return! We loved Geiger Key!!!

Off the beaten path! Food was really tasty. We ordered the grouper fried cheeks and the grilled grouper sandwich. The grouper on the sandwich was a little small particularly for the size of the bun. However the overall flavor and freshness of the fish was spot on. The outdoor eating was great. We sat on picnic tables near the water and watched the little fish swim by. Neat location with friendly wait staff! Would recommend folks try this place out!

After waiting 6 years for an opening we finally got a two week stay booked. We booked in January for arrival the following February of 2022 and again in March of 2023. We were sent an email notifying us our reservation was cancelled to allow others to stay. Only notifying us in October, it was impossible to get another RV site in the Florida Keys with a 4 month notice. Very unprofessional. This destroyed a vacation that was planned with no considerations of cost and affect to us.

We love the back side of paradise. Best fish tacos in the keys.!!! Service is always good and staff is friendly. Would really like to see it as a non smoking bar even though its outside. Nothing sucks more than you get your meal and the table next to starts chian smoking and your down wind.

Had a beautiful site here for 4 nights. When I made the reservation I was asked about my camper size. Truthfully, at 35 feet we were not the largest unit in the campground. We backed in and we're told to stay as close to the sewer as possible which we did. Our slides on the back side of our camper encroached on our neighbor who had to move his vehicle to the front of his camper. The slide on the front side of our camper, dinette and love seat, couldn't be put out because of the tiki hut. If we pulled the camper forward we would have been out in the roadway. This campground is really meant for small campers with no slides. Thankfully we were only there 4 nights. Being right on the water was nice and sorta made up for the fact that we were not fully set up.

Anyone who says they loved this place must work there. It is 2 miles from the Naval base. From early morning to late day all you hear are jets flying right over the camp ground. Horrible... the food was horrible. The conch fritters were so dark from old oil and very rubbery. No pool no tv no nothing. Worst camping experience we have ever had. Save your money go elsewhere.

Not sure if I want to write this review - I don't want this place to lose its charm! This is a hidden, out of the way gem! While biking up the keys, we needed to get a drink. Two separate "locals" sent us here. It was about 1.5 miles off of US-1, but based on their advice, we gave it a try (and we needed a drink or two). We were not disappointed. Fun tiiki bar with a beautiful view. Cold drinks, great appetizers, laid back feel, right on the water. Our bartender, Kim, was awesome - fun, attentive, very knowledgeable about the area. Showed us all sorts of cool fish with explanations and stories. This place seems great for fishermen. You can also stay there and bring your RV, or stay in one of the RV's that they have there for a fee. Authentic, and not "touristy", we look forward to returning when we leave Key West & head back up north.

Will never go back again! The place was empty and the hostess with an attitude tried to seat us next to the kitchen and when we asked to be seated next to the water, was inconvenienced! The food was horrible. We all ordered fish tacos! The beans and rice were sparse and cold! Tortillas were hard! The musician performing was playing along with a looping machine! Have been there many times in the past and the chive was uptight! Seems like they are trying to jam tourists! Locals are at the greed of the winter season!

We discovered Geiger Key Fish-Camp & Marina on 1/30/2018. We were not really interested in the Fish-Camp or Marina but were intrigued by their waterfront bar/restaurant. What a fun place! It is a nifty bar and open-air picnic table restaurant right on a channel with a view of the ocean. Our hogfish finger snack was the best hogfish we've had in the Keys. The wait staff were very friendly and helpful. To find this place, go to Big Coppitt Key and turn onto Boca Chica Road (between MM 12 & MM 13). Go about 1 mile & turn on Geiger Road.

Love the restaurant. My brother took me here last year so I asked him to take me back again this year, and then again. I have been having the seafood and it is great. I think the conch salad was my favorite. I love the outdoor setting next to the water and the laidback feeling.

Renting out an RV as a hotel room is an inexpensive way to enjoy Key West. However, note that this place will charge you an additional cleaning fee ("it's like a resort fee", this place is no resort), the a/c will jolt you out of the bed when it turns on during the night and bring your own top sheet. Somehow a top sheet didn't come on any of the beds. Double check everything works, the lock on my door didn't, the coffeemaker didn't, but more importantly the hot water didn't. No one mans the desk after 5 and before 9 so you're out of luck for anything that "should be looked after." It's worth another $50 to stay in a hotel room.
