Øen Turistsenter

I stayed at Øen Turistsenter for five nights in February 2025. The Customer Service was excellent, including one of the staff helping me with the washing machine, my Hytte was warm and breakfast great. ||Only drawback going outside to the loo at night and to wash. Otherwise I have no complaints at all, and I would recommend Øen Turistsenter to anyone I know who would like to visit Geilo.

We rented a cabin for a short stay during the 17th of May national holiday. We took with us our own bedding instead of renting. The cabin was average in size for a small kitchen, 2 bedrooms and living room, but had vaulted ceilings which made it feel more spacious. It was clean as well. It was en easy walk to the stores, movie theaters, etc. The walls were a bit thin, but our neighbors were pretty quiet. However, you could hear them talk if they used a normal to loud voice. Price was very competitive for the area. Would stay here again - recommended.

This place was a saviour for us! We have been travelling around Norway and have encountered so many issues with our van. The staff here went out of their way to help us whenever we had problems. Even purchasing a new jump start box from town and letting us stay in one of their cabins at late notice. Really appreciate how lovely and accommodating they have been whilst we've had this stressful time! Don't know what we would have done without them! Thank you!!! 😊

We rented a cabin for a short stay alaong the road in the summer holiday. We also rented bed linen. The cabin was nice, practical and clean. It is not far from local groceries stores and the children loved the nearby playground. A recommendable place for families.

These are basic small cabins (30 square metres) but well set out and very clean. We had hired a car so divided our time skling both sides of the resort (Geilo and Vestilia) . Howver there is also a ski bus that does the round trip. The Site also has a sauna and an excellent out door hot tuib which we used on one night (50 Kr per person). If yoiu are looking for a great swimming pool or spa the Vestilia Resort Hotel allows non guests to pay to use it. They also have a bowling alley there

I was really surprised by this “hostel”. My room was a double, located in a separated house with bathrooms, terrace, living room and kitchen. Everything was clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and very welcoming, in addition to a breakfast with all you need. I thouroughly enjoyed my stay and will come back for sure

Lived in one of the holiday apartments by the reception. Not the fanciest of places, but lots of space. Helpful staff. Creaky floors and doors a bit annoying, but others may find it charming. Be aware that you have to bring your own linens, towels, etc. (or rent from reception for a fee). Also, best if you have transportation.

Cozy little cabins a couple of kilometers from downtown/the skiresort. What they lack for in luxury, they make up for in soul, and low budget. ||Could probably have needed an upgrade by now, but alas, it is what it is. Plus for ability to cook yourself, nice sofa-area in cabins, and great views. ||Oh, good service. Easy-going things like ‘can we check out at 3 instead...sure!’ makes all the difference sometime. Would stay here again.
