"Japan Comes to the Desert Geisha A Go Go caters to Scottsdale’s trendy, club-hopping crowd with DJ-spun Top 40, fruity-infused sakes and a list of cocktails like the strawberry-infused Hello Kitty. (There’s a full bar, too.) Even if the club scene isn’t your scene, Geisha A Go Go is worth a visit if you’re the least bit into karaoke. Their private rooms come with you-pick music and personal drink service. For a more casual scene, The Grapevine Restaurant & Bar hosts karaoke every night of the week. It’s a good mix of casual drinks and wannabe singers who choose a wide selection of music – the classics, R&B, country…I’ve heard it all at The Grapevine. Just hope you don’t get the all-Metallica, all-the-time guy that’s known to frequent this spot. And be sure to tip the “karaoke DJ” for guaranteed airtime."

First night in Scottsdale and we were craving sushi. We came to Geisha A Go Go for dinner because it was located near our hotel and the reviews seemed good. We were also enticed by the the happy hour specials from 3-7pm. Upon arrival, the hostess was not very welcoming and we had to remind her about our table even after putting our name on the waitlist. For a Monday it was not too busy, but there was only one server for the entire restaurant. She handled everything really well and was very sweet. Good thing we didn’t have to wait too long for service, but it was something we did noticed. We ordered the chicken gyoza and vegetable tempura as appetizers. Then decided to do a few of the happy hour maki rolls (spicy tuna, yellowtail, and Philadelphia) as well as the Las Vegas roll. The drinks were half priced which was nice, I ordered the Lychee San cocktail that came in a fish shaped bowl, it was really cute and was actually delicious. The sushi and appetizers were alright. However, the atmosphere (dim lighting, intimate seating, rock music and karaoke rooms) makes for a cool spot and the drinks are good. Overall it was not a bad experience.

A very very good sushi place. This is the first time visiting and so we ordered a lot of different types of sushi to be able to get an overall idea of the variety, quality and flavor of the food. Everything was very good and delicious. I recommend the geisha a go go and the rocket man(or something along those lines). But also even the basic rolls were very flavorful and well worth it. They have a happy hour from 3 to 7(I think) 7 days a week which is half off of the house rolls. The atmosphere in the place was great, music was not too loud and we managed to have a very good time and a pleasant conversation. Service was great, they were very quick and friendly. The one thing I would recommend to the staff(which is also why I am not giving you 5 stars) is to clean better. We entered first right after they opened and the table they seated us at was not clean at all. There were stains on it and it was sticky. Thing is it didn't even feel like the other tables were any better. I'm still happy we stayed, since this place was recommended to us, for the food was great but the dirtiness took a bit away from the experience. Anyhow thank you for the food service, we will definitely come back again.

Been there for three times now. We like to grab their sushi during the happy hour. Their quality of fish is pretty good. We love their yellowtail roll, tuna roll, and veggie roll. Great amount of food for the price. Although we were not too impressed by the chicken potstickers. They tasted like some frozen gyoza full of additives. Go for their sushi, not their appetizers! Staffs are always nice there. Fast service, relaxed environment if you beat the crowd.

This place was solid. We stopped by on our trip and got a few different things. The rolls were a little smaller and a little spendier than we were used too. But as for the rest. The rice was well made. The fancy saki was fire. The spicy Edamame was absolutely great. Might be back for a special occasion or something. They had Akira playing and I love that movie big ups.

Nice vibes! Great happy hour prices on drinks, appetizers, and rolls. I love the outdoor seating. I'm not a fan of the calamari, both the chicken lettuce wrap and salmon roll was on point.

Hit up Geisha a Go Go for their Happy Hour since the lady and I were both off early enough on a weekday to enjoy some tasty deals. The food here is definitely unique and hit the spot. Never have I seen Crab Stick Mozzarella Sticks, which were delicious. But my favorite item was probably the Hentai Heat Roll - if you like spicy, you will enjoy this roll for sure. Topped off with some sake bombs and good service, we definitely enjoyed our visit here.

This was a really cool experience! It’s almost like a speakeasy for sushi! From what I understand, you must have a reservation or know someone to get in. When we got there it was roped off with a red carpet rope and a bouncer in front. We told him who we were coming to see and they came to get us and brought us to our table. The service was good, the waitress was attentive and everything came quickly. We ordered a few different sushi dishes which were all tasty as well as the mozzarella sticks. We also got a bottle of sake to share and it was really smooth! Potent, but flavorful and smooth. We went during happy hour so the prices were great too! I really liked the decor and there was pretty low lighting throughout. Next time I’d definitely like to try the karaoke!

Excellent spot for sushi and drinks, love the old style Japanese theme! Place gets busy so you may need to make reservations. Staff was super friendly and the waitress was sweet & reminded me of Rhianna ♥️. Will be back again!
