Authentic gelato made with natural ingredients — rich flavor and creamy texture. Definitely not a tourist trap, just genuine, high-quality Italian gelato!

My husband had an ice cream and I had a medium granita. It was good, though a bit on the expensive side. I also found the portion sizes to be quite small — the medium cup felt more like a small, and I imagine the large is more of a medium. If you’re in the area and really craving ice cream, it’s worth a try.

Was walking to another gelateria but ended up stopping here because the line spoke for itself. Gelato was good, fresh and definitely artisanal. If I can be peaky - and the only reason behind my 4 stars- there is something missing in the flavor. Can’t tell what really but it still needs something to hit 5* for me. Service was fast and the ladies really nice!

Very flavorful. Mediterrane was my favorite, but all flavors I tried were great. Cone could have been a bit higher quality.

Absolutely divine gelato from this place. I suspected it’d be good when I saw the queue, and from the very first bite of my pistachio gelato my suspicions were more than confirmed. This fresh, rich, nutty wave of flavour infused my very being when I enjoyed this gelato. Strongly recommend. Tried several other gelato places in Italy, but I have to say my favourite pistachio gelato is from this place. Everything was just so beautifully balanced in that textured glob of gelato. I went on and on about how good this place is to my friends, they must be quite annoyed with me by now. Much love xxx.

Tried 2 flavors: Sicilia and Pesca, Zenzero & Salvia, I enjoyed both of them. Sicilia featured good amounts of pistachio and almond chunks with a pleasant citrus taste, while the latter (peach, ginger and sage) tasted very refreshing. I also like that they have a good selection of non-milk based flavors :D

A Sweet Treat at Galliera 49 We had a fantastic time at Galliera 49, an amazing gelateria! The variety of ice cream and granita options was impressive, and everything we tried was delicious. It’s the perfect spot to cool down and enjoy some of the best gelato in town. Highly recommend for anyone with a sweet tooth while in the area!

This gelateria is always bustling with customers, but the wait is usually just a couple of minutes. I decided to visit for their famous brioche ice cream, and I ordered mine filled with salted caramel and coffee ice cream, topped with whipped cream. As you can tell from the picture, it was huge, messy, but oh so enjoyable! I also tried their Mandarino & Limon flavor infused with bergamot and ginger. For me, the lemon flavor was the clear winner.

Yelp
Fabulous gelato. Small place with no real seating. Friendly staff. Gelato is not piled up for tourists -- it's thick and delish. I definitely recommend.

Yelp
Amazing gelato. Maybe the best of the trip! What else is there to say? They don't have questionable giant mounds on display but rather keep gelato in their metal containers. This is always a sign of good gelato! Did not disappoint! Hazelnut and chocolate was an excellent combination. Salted caramel was a unique flavor and good.

Yelp
Um, was fine, not my favorite. Was right around the corner from our lodging so I had to go based on the amazing reviews. Cremeria Cavour, Cremeria Funivia, and Sorbetterria Castiglione were WAYYYY better. I wouldn't give it less than a 4, because many gelato in Italy are going to be good, but this wasn't so memorable. I also made the mistake of getting the vegan almond milk one. Eh pass.

Yelp
This friendly shop sells coppette with up to 3 flavours for 4 euros, which is a big portion. The flavours are really interesting and offer very different choices from the fun-filled chocolately options at Gelateria Gianni or the purist classic selection at Cremeria Santo Stefano. I really enjoyed one of the specials 'sicilia', which combined pistachio, almond and citrus flavours to wonderful effect. The mascarpone was also delicious. The staff were particularly friendly and there's a couple of benches to sit outside under the portici.
