This is what it’s all about. Quality ice cream (excuse me: gelato) at a quality price. Every flavor sings. You order whipped cream on top and you stroll the Most Serene Republic like a Doge of old. I am a big believer that Grom is the best in the business. I have studied this for a long time, but my research, of course, continues.

Strolling Venice after dinner and came across Grom, skip the dessert at the restaurant and give their gelato a try. Service was friendly and quick, and ordering was no problem, even for a non-Italian speaker. There are the right amount of flavors that you shouldn’t have a problem finding one. You can get cones or cups in various sizes. Gelato is usually a little softer than ice cream, so perfect for a warm day, but they won’t last long.

Amazing ice-cream! It is completely gluten free, additives free and it tastes exactly like it should, no artificial nonsense. The place is cute and the staff is very kind and professional. If you want to experience real Italian ice cream, this the place you want to visit!

So cool to find a whole designated ice cream and dessert shop that’s GLUTEN FREE! Even the cones, which were the best ice cream cones I’ve ever had, even hubby thought they had the crunch of normal waffle ones! Would say a little skimpy on the ice cream amount but super creamy and flavoursome and lots of flavours to pick from! Worth the walk if you’re staying on the other side of Venice!! Gluten free treat!

visited on 26 dec, thursday. i was so happy it was open despite it being st stephen’s day! this is probably my favourite gelato place in venice! we tried the pistachio & crema di grom, both on cones. both were absolutely amazing. 4.50€ for a cone/cup! a little on the pricier side as compared to the other shops we’ve been to, but this has by far been my favourite — pistachio was flavourful and authentic, crema di grom had the perfect amount of crunch and chocolate chips. both were not too sweet and didn’t leave us craving for water to wash it down. not too milky as well! definitely recommended despite the price. service was quick and ordering in english was really easy for us.

Nice staff but appallingly small ice cream for €4.50! It was like a kiddie cone!! 😮 The ice cream itself was fine but the value of this place has gone way down hill! We went to Gelateria il Doge previously (just 100m away) and the ice cream was just as good (if not better) and a decent size and 50 cents cheaper!

Some of the best gelato I've had in italy. Very natural tasting. I've eaten at over 20 gelato places so I feel I can leave this review now. I've only found one other gelato place with gelato this good so far.

Great little gelato place. My favorite so far in Venice. I had chocolate and strawberry. My wife had chocolate and crema de grom, and she said she’s get double chocolate next time. Different texture, you can tell this is almost homemade rather than batched. Decent prices. Super good.

Real gelato in tin containers that is covered and not the stuff put on display in mounds in the tourist spots. We loved this creamy paradise and frequented it 3 times while we were in Venice. Loved the pistachio and stracciatella (vanilla choco chip) and hazelnut were all awesome.

Delicious gelato, friendly staff, efficient and clean storefront "to go" setup . Tip: They will split two flavors in a small scoop.

35th bday gelato in Venice Service was so warm & welcoming. Ambiance was amazing eating on the side of Venice canals.

Yum! We came here after dinner one night and it was a great choice! The lady at front was Very kind and even helped us with some Italian pronunciation! Would definitely recommend we got the Carmel and it was delicious

The gelato is sooo rich and creamy here! I tried a scoop of the mango and another scoop of the cheesecake! My bf had 2 scoops as well! Both our orders (4 scoops total) came out to be 7,50€. Very friendly service and cheap! This place also takes credit cards.

The gelato at Grom is heavenly! All of the gelato at Grom is 100% organic and does not contain any preservatives or artificial colors or flavors. The gelato is made with high quality ingredients such as organic fruit, fresh milk, cage-free eggs, and sugar cane. Gelato shops such as Grom know the best way to store gelato is in metal tubs with lids. You may notice the beautiful displays of gelato in other shops, but "piling" the gelato harms the texture and flavor of the gelato. We stopped in Grom to escape the rain. I ordered a cone with a scoop of crema and a scoop of limone. I usually order this combination at every gelato shop I visit so I can compare which gelato is the best. This was some of the best gelato I have had! Check out the "flavor of the month" for different seasonal flavors.

Crazy lines but delicious! Nothing like wandering the streets and running into delicious gelato on the way. Lines are typically long due to heat and deliciousness haha

Get. The. Pistachio. Gelato. The flavor is like pistachios on steroids.

Excellent service, very friendly and speak English. I tried the Crema Come Una Volte because it seemed to be their original flavor. It was delicious! Unlike anything I've had in the states, it was like vanilla gelato blended with a bit of lemon custard...very creamy and not too much lemon. Venice is packed with so many gelato places...and they taste fairly similar. If you want to try one that stands out, this one is unique. It's also very clean and is located in a square with plenty of room for people watching. Go check it out! I'd definitely go again. This was recommended to us by a local...and I'm glad he did.

I'm not really into chains because I often feel like the quality gets lost once a place goes big. This wasn't the case here as Grom's gelato was my favorite spot during my trip to Italy. My favorite flavor is the Crema Di Grom. Grom is located in a lot of cities in Italy. This location was great. Friendly service.

I had heard that their gelato was all gluten free, but I didn't know that all of their cones were too! I got salted caramel and raspberry. It was really good!

Best gelato I have ever had in my life! They have enough flavors for anyone to be able to comfortably find something they really, really like! And their hot chocolate is out of this world! Absolutely a must try place!!!

A definite must try when in Italy!!! The caffe (coffee) gelato was amazing and not too sweet!

I like to think me standing there by the window smiling and waving at people passing by brought in a LOT (12 to be exact) of customers in a short time frame. In this order: They all looked at me, then the menu, then back to me, then back to each other. Sadly, I'm just a fat donut. But they came in to try out of curiosity, so that they can look like me. Then they bought it, and realized I was a hero that exited that store. I'm on a horse. [note: did anyone get that Old Spice commercial?] It was empty when we went in, but everything looked clean, modern, cute. The gelato has been the best I've had in Italy so far (had 2 a day for 4 days. Packing on the pounds indeed...). The coffee was strong, and their cantaloupe melon actually tasted like real cantaloupe melon (everywhere else tasted like some fake syrup concoction).

After staring at customers going in and out of the Grom across from where I was sadly eating over-salted and underwhelming pasta, we declined the restaurant's desserts and marched over to the beckoning gelateria. Boy, am I glad we did: - The Pistachio is rich, rich, rich, and it will be hard to console myself at home with Talenti's Sicilian Pistachio, which used to give me bliss. Each taste begins with a moment of no flavor, just cold and creamy as a feeling, and then it slowly builds into a very round, true Pistachio flavor. - The Coffee is dense and grounded, clearly due to the tiny grains of ground coffee folded into the cream. It's not very sweet at all, so try not to pair it with anything too delicate in flavor, like I always do without even trying. Would go again. Would definitely go again.

We ate gelato every day while vacationing in Italy. I wasn't familiar with this place but when we walked by and saw the line outside the door we stopped to check out the goods. The gelato was more expensive than what we had been paying. One thing that stood out for me was that their flavors were different than other gelato stores. I wanted to taste something different than what I had already tried and I ordered the Caffe that was yummy in my tummy. There were a few people behind the counter that helped the line move quickly. Definitely a spot to check out if you're in Venezia.

Excellent service, excellent flavors. They have your regular flavors like strawberry and chocolate, but they also have more original flavors like the Sicilian almond (meh). Ask for samples before settling on one (or two or three) flavors! I decided on the pistachio and chocolate. Because they use the freshest and organic fruits and beans (for coffee or chocolate), the flavors are incredibly strong. Both were creamy perfection! They really make gelato an art and will try to make your cone of gelato pretty and clean. (Like it took my gelato man at least five minutes just to swirl one of my flavors with the ice cream scooper to get it to sit perfectly on my other flavor choice). This can be annoying if you're in a rush, so come when you have a few minutes to spare. It was actually also a lot cheaper than I had thought it would be! 2.5€ for two scoops on a cone? Not complaininnn'

Probably the best chain gelato in Italy. I just wish I had more time to try all the flavors.

Love this place -- Grom in San Barnaba, Venizia, Italia. We went there at least 3 times in the 3 days that we were in Venice. We may have tried about 10-12 different flavors and they tasted either good or amazing, e.g. mange, melone, pistacchio, albicocca, pesca, ... My favorite was their affigato, which is a combination of granita (=sherbet) and gelato (=ice cream). Normally affigato is a combination of espresso and ice cream. I had mixed berry granita and yogurt ice cream -- Amazing combination perfect for a hot day in Venice. The servers were so friendly and accommodating. Grom is a chain with several stores in Venice and throughout Italy. We also tried the one by the train station. Our favorite is in San Barnaba.

Looking for creamy, tasty, fresh gelato? Visit Grom for some deliciousness. It's a chain, so you've probably seen them around Italy. They're very happy to let you sample as many flavors as you'd like. I was not a fan of the cream. The chocolate and pistachio flavors were good, but I opted for coffee on a cone in the end. A medium is two scoops, which allows you to get two flavors.

God bless Grom!! I've had Baccio, Caramello, and mint. Each of them were spectacular. Even the cones (drizzled in chocolate and hazelnuts!!) were out of this world! Some of the best gelato of my life. Swoon!! I may or may not have had it twice today!

Best gelato we found in Venice. Everything in Italian so if you don't speak or read Italian, you will have to decipher a bit and make an educated guess. The chocolate was "fudgy" and hands down best in the area.

Grom has set the bar for gelato perfection. I've never had any ice cream as good as the flavors I got from Grom. It didn't matter if I was in Florence or Venice, the quality continued across every location. Every bite is a mouthful of rich, creamy flavor. I had heard about Grom before going to Italy earlier this year. I stumbled across the location in Florence before going to Venice. Both of these locations had a line out the door. The lines are well worth the wait! Their menu is huge, their ingredients are imported from all over the world, and their gelato must be had to be beleived. If you love gelato, Grom is the only place you need go.

Pretty good Gelato walking around touring the city through the canals. It's a franchise, as I've seen the same stores around elsewhere.

Grom was hands down the best gelato my friends and I found on our trip to Italy (and believe me, we had gelato on a daily basis). The flavors are rich and the texture is perfect--not too icy like a few other places we tried and not too thick. The sugar cones are thick and crunchy. Standout flavor for us were vanilla and cookie, crema di grom, and nocciola. Please bring Grom to San Francisco!

I got their dark chocolate with bits of dark chocolate chips on top and it was absolutely delicious! Not too sweet and super rich.

Excellent gelato in a convenient location in Venezia. The service and flavors and the freshness available is top notch. There is also one in the Venetian train station if you can't make it to this location.

Had one scoop of Tiramisu flavor ice-cream. it was ok but nothing to die for. The place was really busy and they had loads of variety. Not sure what the fuss is about maybe I didn't chose their best flavor.

The best gelateria in Italia. I can't say anything bad about Grom, except I need more gelato when I visit a Grom. I live in California and the closest which is in Malibu does not compare to Italia' s Grom. Pistachio is my favorite.

So creamy and delicious! You can definitely taste the quality of the ingredients. I also tried my friend's strawberry sorbet and it tasted very fresh!

Modern design (not really what we were looking for in Venice) by the staff was super friendly and the ice cream was great.

After so many nice reviews, I was expecting something at least "ok". I tasted the Caramel one I got disapointed, I could not even finish it.
