Terrible experience – avoid this place!
On June 27th, my bag was stolen while I was having ice cream in this almost empty café. I had briefly walked to the fridge to pick a dessert, and when I returned, my bag was gone. I clearly remember 3–4 suspicious people walking in with bags and leaving without buying anything.
The security camera was pointing exactly at my table, but when I asked the male staff to check it, he coldly refused and said it was “not allowed.” He didn’t care at all. The female staff member was at least kind enough to help call the police.
But the police in San Giovanni were just as useless – they didn’t take me seriously and even made sarcastic remarks.
If the cameras are not used during a theft, what are they even for?
I will never return to Italy again. Stay away from this café – no security, no help, no responsibility.
