Gelateria Paganelli

If you’re near the Centrale area and craving gelato, Gelateria Paganelli is a solid choice! This family-run gelateria has a long history, and you can tell from the care they put into their gelato. The staff (or perhaps they're the owners?) were also very warm and friendly. We even had a nice little chat while ordering, as they were curious about where we came from. 😀 I tried the nocciola and fior di latte, and both were excellent. The texture was smooth and creamy with just the right sweetness. The nocciola stood out for its rich, nutty flavor made from the best Piedmont hazelnuts. Paganelli was also previously awarded the coveted Tre Coni, the highest distinction from Gambero Rosso given only to Italy’s top gelaterie... and it truly lives up to that recognition!

Best ice cream in Milan…. BY FAR!!!! Multigenerational artisan ice cream maker. We will go everyday until we leave Milan. We tried 8 flavours because we could not choose…. All of them were excellent. Since it was the third Gelateria we tried , we were starting to despair in finding a good one. Very nice people too.

I got the pistachio with peppers at a restaurant near my hotel and came here for the real thing! The pistachio is delicious, roasted, and you wait a moment, and the heat develops nicely without being overpowering. They have other interesting gelatos, the olive oil and the nocio are both good. I’ll be back

Best gelato EVER!!!! The spicy pistachio, banana peanut and honey sesame are my favorite!! This family are masters in flavor!!

If you’re in Milan and craving authentic gelato, this place is a must-visit. The chocolate and caffè flavors are absolutely outstanding — rich, creamy, and full of intense flavor. They offer a wide variety of options, all crafted with real, high-quality ingredients. You can truly taste the difference. Highly recommended for a true Italian gelato experience!

This Gelateria is definitely the best one I have been to in Milan. Over 8 days in the city, visited 11 gelaterias (yes sweet tooth) none of them measured even close to Paganelli. Service is fantastic, selection is superb and the taste is absolutely delicious. Favorite flavors were mixed berry and Italian chocolate. Definitely will come back!

3 euros for a small and good portion size. You can get 2 flavors in the small. The service is very friendly, the gentleman offered to translate the flavors for me from Italian and English. We got fruit flavors and almost all of them had little bits of their respective fruit inside. Each one was true to its name and tasted very smooth. I really like the cherry, which used a ripe cherry flavor rather than the usual tart cherry flavor. There's not a lot of seating so be prepared to grab and go.

The flavors are a good mix of traditional and creative. Prices are very fair. I had the strawberry and straciatella, it brought a smile to my face and so good. Can't wait to be back and try the other flavors! The owner and his wife are also very kind. :)
