This gelateria was recommended to us by expert guide Elizabeth Jones. Just as she told us, the gelato is superb. The Paganelli family has been making gelato for just about 100 years. Francesco is the third generation. As Elizabeth told us, if a gelateria makes fresh gelatos from local fruits in season, that is a tell. Over two visits, we sampled hazelnut, fig, Sicilian orange, American grape and melon with szechuan pepper. All outstanding. Highly recommended. The Paganellis are as nice as their gelato is delicious.
