Delicious and unique tastes. Smiling and welcoming staff. Thank you for your great hospitality. Note for the Manager: Anna the Trainee was so professional and welcoming. Oh and one more thing, you need to open a branch in Heaven 😁😇

Google
We stopped here because of all the great ratings and were happy that we did. Great gelato with a good choice of flavors. They also sell chocolate. It’s a bit pricier than other gelaterias but not by much. It’s right by the river which was nice. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area.

Google
It was so beautiful the ice cream. The client attention was perfect with Pietro, Elise and Marceila. They even give us conversation about where we was from and we start speaking in French and Portuguese! Muito legal a gente. :)

Shina Tan

Google
Tiniest 2 scoops of gelato ever. The second scoop was barely a smudge on top of the first. Edit to add: I’ve been to multiple Venchi outlets. I know the usual serving size. This particular one was just tiny.

Google
The classic crepe was amazing. Filled with dark chocolate and hazelnuts. The batter was perfectly cooked and didn’t break even with the hot chocolate being added to it. The chocolate chip gelato was amazing and so was the cone that came with it.

Sheila is incredibile! So knowledgeable, so informative, e dolci! We are so happy we had the opportunity to make such incredible treats on our own! Grazie mille!!!

Google
Amazing experience!! Alba was so kind and recommended the most delicious looking chocolates!! I will be back tomorrow! Best gelato too!! ❤️

Google
The gelato is incredible and the service is fantastic. We highly recommend this place. It’s a brilliant place to go get gelato! Ask for Raffaele, he will give you a great experience! He is tremendous! So helpful and service oriented. 10 out of 10 stars!

Yelp
Literally have no notes. This is the best gelato I've had in Florence. We went back every day of our stay back in January. Yes, January. Worth the frozen hands. I got chocolate/pistachio and pistachio/black sesame combos. The pistachio and black sesame are absolutely superior and one of the greatest things I've ever had in my life. This place can get busy but the workers are super quick. Love that this is by the river. The perfect place to sit and people watch while you enjoy your gelato!
google avatar

Jessica P.

Yelp
Had to get gelato one more time before leaving Florence and we heard great things about this place! We got pistachio and I'm forgetting the other flavor we picked but they were both creamy and delicious. Luckily there was no line, so service was quick! We were in and out within 10 minutes. The shop is right next to the river so it was a nice experience eating our gelato on the bridge while overlooking the city. Great way to spend our last few hours

Yelp
Housed in a former palace along the Amo Gelateria Santa Trinita opened in 2008, a focus on pure flavors made properly plus some social media savvy quickly moving them towards the top of Florence's competitive Gelato scene. Adjacent Santa Trinita Bridge, with an Emporio next door focused on Artisan goods, it is withing the Gelateria that guests will fin everything from Cakes to forty flavors such as Straccialetta and Pistachio featuring nuts from Bronte to pure Crema, Black Sesame and airy "Buontalenti Al Mascarpone" that likens frozen Creme Chantilly.

Yelp
I don't make this claim lightly, but this is probably the best gelateria in Florence. There are others in close contention, which are certainly more convenient than this place, as it's a bit off the beaten path. But the gelato is very tasty and creamy, the prices are good, and the selection is plentiful. Worth the walk!

Yelp
Came here as part of a food tour as my last stop. They definitely saved the best stop for last. My gelato was super creamy and super yummy. The service was courteous and quick. The line went by pretty quickly.
google avatar

Jason W.

Yelp
Came to this gelateria at the recommendation of the tour guide. Located at the end of the Ponte Santa Trinita, the gelato was so delicious, had to have it twice! Pistachio and Santa Trinita flavors on the first cone, limone and mandarino on the second cone. It can get busy, so be prepared for an occasional line.
google avatar

El Y.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this cute Gelateria right by the river! Great window views and lights and decorations. Best part is that they have black sesame gelato!

Perla Z.

Yelp
Yummy ice cream! Don't be alarmed if you see a line, it moves quick. The pistachio ice cream was delicious.
google avatar

Jennifer J.

Yelp
A must!! Seriously. Thank you India and Africa for your delicious black sesame!! And Brava Italy, for knowing to make it into a gelato flavor. This spot is right be the river and bridge and definitely a hot spot. But it's worth the wait. There's a beautiful young woman that works there that looks like the Italian America Ferrara.
google avatar

Reena S.

Yelp
We had gelato 4 days in a row in Italy, and THIS PLACE was the best in terms of flavor and quality! The mandarin orange was our favorite, we enjoyed every bite!

Alejandro A.

Yelp
Best Gelateria here in Italy, Florence. The gelato here is nice and creamy, and the person working there was very nice. The service here is well and it's kinda warm, but the place looks very nice.

Dana G.

Yelp
We came here based on a local resident's recommendation to try Buontalenti, a special gelato flavor for Florence. It was fantastic! So glad we stopped in. Best tasting gelato that we have found!
google avatar

Maisha R.

Yelp
This small shop in Florence had some of the best gelato that we sampled during our time in Italy. They offered great flavors - black sesame, cheesecake, yogurt, cookies, ricotta with fig, pistachio, straciatella, tiramisu, hazelnut, and a few other common flavors. They also had sorbets and granitas. I got two flavors - ricotta and fig along with cheesecake. The gelato was so smooth and creamy and my combination was masterful, if I do say so myself. The lightness of the berries complemented the heavier cheesecake gelato and the figs paired beautifully with this. The store was busy and for good reason. The gelato was really good and prices were reasonable.
google avatar

Kirstin Z.

Yelp
This has to be the best Gelato I've had in Florence yet!!! Not to mention they stack it on there and allow you to mix the flavors! It's always so hard to decide which one, so the fact that you can choose different ones already makes it a winner! The consistency was perfect of the gelato. They also offer sherbets. I had stracciatela, chocolate and peanut butter, and then tried the figghi as well! YUM YUM YUM! As well as good prices! You can also get a view of ponte vecchio after as well, while you eat your gelato on the bridge
google avatar

Kristina L.

Yelp
Gelato here is so good! The selection is small compared to other gelato places but the flavors they are all good. You'll find more traditional flavors like pistachio. The girls serving us were super friendly and welcoming. You can sample the flavors too. They didn't specify if there were a limited amount of flavors pee person, but they didn't say anything to us. I think my husband sampled 3 flavors
google avatar

Amanda S.

Yelp
10/10 amazing gelato!! Yes you will wait in a long line, and yes it will be worth it. The gelato comes in a wide range of flavors and you can get a few different flavors in one cup or cone depending on the size. I had a peanut butter flavor with a chocolate chip flavor on a cone and I'm still dreaming about it a few weeks later. Cards are only accepted here for orders of €3.50+! Definitely do not miss this Gelatieria if you are in the Florence area.
google avatar

Shawn H.

Yelp
Probably my favorite gelato in Florence. Both chocolates are great, and the mint chip is outstanding as well. My wife also loves their stracciatella.
google avatar

Clarice H.

Yelp
Oh my goodness I'm in gelato heaven! After some subpar gelato in Venice, I have faith in gelato again! Gelateria Santa Trinita has an ideal location right next to the water, and close to the famous spots in Florence. They have a case of gelato that follows all of the guidebooks' points: natural colors, not piled high, signs indicating gelato is made everyday, etc. Of course, being the Asians that we are, we had to get the sesame Nero flavor. We also got pistachio since that's a great flavor to try to gauge the gelateria's quality. They were both phenomenal. The texture was perfect, the flavors were perfectly pungent and strong. I loved it. It didn't hurt that they charged only 1.90 for a small cup and they really piled it high!
google avatar

Lisa D.

Yelp
Omg this is easily the best gelato, no best chocolate I have ever had in my life. Its located right next to the river so be sure to grab your gelato or wine right before sunset. This way you can enjoy it at the bridge as the colors turn magical colors. The place has a variety of flavors and price ranges around 2-4 euros depending on how many flavors you want. I spent 2.10 on a two flavor cone. I tried the ricotta and dark chocolate. I was debating between the cheesecake, berry, or mascarpone, but I know I made the right choice. The ricotta was rich and sweet and not to strong at all. The dark chocolate however, there are no words to describe how good it was. It was rich and had a flavor of chocolate unlike anything else. I will be sure to go back and get it one more time even if its freezing outside.
google avatar

Brynn L.

Yelp
One of the best gelato shops in Florence! It is located one bridge down from the Ponte Vecchio so very ideal for pictures. The shop is small but they get everyone through pretty quickly. We got comes with two different kinds of gelatin, pistachio and their special Santa Trinita flavor. Both were amazing as we walked around the area. Highly recommend for a cute, fun gelato shop!!
google avatar

Esther K.

Yelp
wow. so good. they were out of both the sesames but i was able to try the last bits which were amazing. we got the dark chocolate which was one of the most flavorful chocolates we've had! the mint chocolate chip was amazing as well.
google avatar

Melissa H.

Yelp
This is the best gelato in Florence. I have tried others and this is the BEST ONE. You must try the panna cotta flavor, it's my absolutely favorite. The cookies, crema, and straciatella flavors are also good. They also give big scoops and you can try as many samples as you like.
google avatar

Hana S.

Yelp
Really great, creamy gelato here. They have like four different chocolate flavors but I stuck with the original chocolate which was SO RICH. Also tried the cheesecake which was yummy, don't think you could order a wrong flavor here though.

Yelp
"12:47 on February 1st: You knowingly ingested gelato." -- Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) Two things I learned in Italy. 1) Gelato is better than Ice Cream. 2) There is always room for Gelato. This was by far my favorite gelateria in Italy - and we went to many. Gelato once a day (sometimes twice - don't judge), meant a lot of different stops. But this one was the best of them all. It's a little shop right next to the river - so pretty easy to get to from anywhere in the city proper. The line was out the door sometimes when we passed - so you know it's good. My favorite was the mint chocolate chip - and they really pack it on the cone (or cup). The tiramisu was also delicious, as was the dark chocolate. I also tasted (from my friends) the black sesame and the strawberry. The gelato was smooth - not icy - and fully of flavors. Nothing tasted manufactured. I think we came here 3 times? Should I return to Florence, I will return to this Gelateria for sure!
google avatar

Gregg B.

Yelp
This place gets very busy It is pricier than La Carraia down the street by other bridge The gelato is good but as creamy as others They also do not have a great assortment of flavors and tend to run out It is not the best in Florence but it is still a top 5
google avatar

Kathleen S.

Yelp
Black. Sesame. Gelato. Enough said! This is the only gelateria I know of with such a unique flavor, along with panna cotta and typical melon, passion fruit, tiramisu, etc. But you HAVE to get black sesame. It's what theyre known for. Smallest cup is 1.9 euros and the portions are very generous. I like. I got their torta with berries flavor to compliment the black sesame, and I was beyond satisfied. Service is great here as well.
google avatar

Alison K.

Yelp
Great gelato and selection of flavors. It's right next to the Ponte Santa Trinita so if it's nice out, you can stand right at the bridge to enjoy your gelato, which will give you a nice view of Ponte Vecchio.
google avatar

Kelly T.

Yelp
Away from the Pointe Vecchio and all the attractions is this upscale gelato place. They sell some pretty expensive wine in here but a gelato shop is attached. I had the 2.90 Euro gelato which was more than enough since they fill this baby up. I had her give me half coffee and half pistachios. Omg, the pistachios was amazing!!! The coffee was good too but very bitter which is why I still liked it since I normally drink black coffee. My friend got the 4.90 and she regretted bc it was so big. The best about this place is right across the street is the local's bridge, the other bridge parallel to Pointe Vecchio. Not as crowded and pretty much the same goes if not better! See photos
google avatar

Ivy L.

Yelp
Gelato is smooth and made with fresh high quality milk and cream! The only place that had black sesame gelato and here was definitely a line out the door. You get two very large scoops for 2.80euros. Great strong flavors and so many to choose from! Cute storefront and decor with 2 small benches inside.
google avatar

James I.

Yelp
Great Gelato, location, and friendly staff. The price is very reasonable too considering the amount of different flavor and cone options they have. I tried the vanilla waffle cone and was very happy with what I received.

Debra T.

Yelp
Excellent service and staff friendly and helpful would recommend this place for anyone any age and time well worth it
google avatar

Joy D.

Yelp
This is our favorite Gelateria on mainland Italy! A sizable place with great seating, the wines here are also surprisingly good, the people who work here are willing to help you find exactly what you're looking for! The Nero gelato (sesame seed) is unlike anything else we've ever tried, and we can't find it anywhere else! Fantastic location so close to the Arno!
google avatar

Yelp
I had their gelato twice during my 4 day stay. It makes me sad that I cant have it every day for the rest of my life.
google avatar

Dude Food G.

Yelp
If you are in Florence and you like gelato then you need to go get in line at Gelateria Santa Trinita. Do not miss this treat. This place is exactly what Florence, Italy is all about, quality. Grazie.

Yelp
Another day another chance to eat gelato in Florence. We had passed this shop on our way to another the night before. It was recommended by Romeo as the shop his girls preferred during their visit years before. So on our final night, we walked to Gelateria Santa Trinita. The shop was bustling with customers and offered an array of flavors. The ladies at the counter were a bit brusque (I guess my attempt to pronounce the flavors failed miserably) but still served us our chosen flavors and thanked us. The gelato was wonderful. The many stains I had to remove from shirts was not. Romeo and the kiddo fared poorly with their cones in the extreme heat of the evening. Let's just say the laundry looked like a chocolate bomb had detonated amidst the permanent press items. But the taste of the gelato was well worth it. Creamy yet light with deep, pure chocolate and orange flavors. There are dozens of gelaterrias in Florence from which to choose. Definitely make sure this one is on your list.
google avatar

Amy K.

Yelp
Got some gelato prior to walking around the city, and I remember it being super good (this review is over a month late...my bad). I got the black sesame and probably pistachio (my go to). Both were incredible! One of the only places I saw offering black sesame. Well worth the try!

Traveling T.

Yelp
The limone and fragola flavors are really good. Good place to visit when you are wanting to walk to Ponte Vecchio. The gelato looked fresh. The staff was polite.
google avatar

Kevin N.

Yelp
The best gelato we've had so far having traveled Barcelona and Rome. The lines here can be quite long as I was told. We had the sesame Nero and Santa Trinity.... Both were very delicious gelato. I think we will be coming back for the rest of our trip.
google avatar

Steven W.

Yelp
The best gelato I had whilst visiting northern Italy!! We stayed in Florence for 2 days and we visited here 5 times. The line out the door said it all as people were waiting to get a taste of this amazing gelato. I'm more of a fruity gelato/ice cream person and the flavours were amazing. The passion fruit/wild strawberries/coconut/watermelon were sooo good! They have some pretty unique flavours as well and the more creamy/chocolatey were also really good. It's the usual story of cups or cones and how many scoops your heart desires. Definitely check this place out if you're in Florence!
google avatar

Chris A.

Yelp
Let me preface this review by saying that I am not usually an ice cream eater. Firenze converted me. We decided at the beginning of the trip to sample some of the Gelato if we were near a shop in the middle of the day. As it happens, there were quite a few shops available. Of all the shops, there were two that stood out- Gelateria Santa Trinita and My Sugar. As far as pistachio gelato? Santa Trinita wins by a mile. The winning ingredient? Salt. Just a touch but boy what a difference! We really didn't have any that we didn't like here. Especially enjoyed pairing the pistachio with the dark chocolate. Go here at the start of your trip so you'll have time to go back.
google avatar

Chandler S.

Yelp
One of my top 3 gelaterias in all of Florence, maybe Italy. I've probably been here a hundred times. I am huge fan of the Caffe. You get very large servings here for a super great price. Plus, you can't beat that view of the Arno.
google avatar

Michelle A.

Yelp
There is definitely no shortage of gelato locations any where in Italy however we ran into this gelateria while navigating our way back to our hotel and we are thankful we did. This place actually has an awesome variety of flavors that I haven't notice in any of the other gelato places we tried in Italy. I got the black sesame gelato and my husband had a mint and chip and a barcio flavor I believe that's how your spell it but it was chocolate mixture. They also had a cheesecake flavor and ton of other awesome choice so I would definitely recommend at least stopping by for one scope after all your on vacation!
google avatar

Steven M.

Yelp
Very tasty! They have a lot of flavors, many of which are quite special. The black sesame is definitely a must try. They offer many different cup and cone sizes and types. The staff is friendly and quick and they serve very generously!

Yelp
For my last review for Florence {trumpets blaring} (at least for this trip) I wanted to review our favorite gelateria in all of the city. No, Gelateria Santa Trinita may not have several locations like Italian chain Grom, nor does it boast all-natural colors like Marco Ottavano, but it quite possibly has the best all-around gelato experience in Florence: delicious and unique flavors, excellent service, and cute storefront. Okay, let me start by saying this: Santa Trinita. This is their namesake gelato and rightfully so. The marscapone ice cream with swirls of gianduja is, as we Yelpers like to say, deeply satisfying. Their other unique flavors--Black Sesame, Ricotta and Fig, etc.--are worth trying as are their regular standbys; my family members and I are huge fans of their Pistachio, Chocolate, Stracciatella and even Cherry. However, a trip to Santa Trinita is a bust without a scoop of the slightly tangy, chocolately, and nutty Santa Trinity. Next thing I love about this gelateria is service. We were always met with a patient and happy worker with each visit. We even showed up on a Sunday early afternoon, not too long after they opened, to treat over 25 friends after my son's First Communion at Santi Apostoli nearby. Luckily, they had two workers at that moment, so one person calmly, accurately, and happily took the orders from my group, indulging any requests for samples or explanations of different flavors and scooping generous servings of gelato for everyone, and the other took orders from the other customers. And lastly, I love the location and look of the shop. Located in the Oltrarno, they were always serving someone when we came in but it never got obnoxiously crowded (until our friends and I showed up that day). The shop has two rooms, both of which are bright and airy with beautiful Tuscan red tile floors, lots of room to walk around, and a few padded benches to sit on. The adjacent room for overflow is lined with walls filled with beautiful bottles of wine, liquor, and packaged food to ogle while you enjoy your ice cream. Fantastic gelato, great service and location. I long for the days when I could just pop in and get a scoop of Santa Trinita and Stracciatella or Cherry. If you're in Florence and do yourself a favor and check out Gelateria Santa Trinita. It really is the best in a city filled with amazing gelaterias.
google avatar

Melissa F.

Yelp
Best gelato I have had in Italy thus far. The line had about 10+ people waiting in front of us but the time went by quickly. They have unique flavors and the taste and texture of the gelato is unbeatable. It is more than fairly priced. They really pile on the gelato so know that even the smaller cones will have a lot of gelato and be very filling. You are also able to sample favors if you want to. The walk to this place is lovely so it's worth going outside of the "main" area in Florence. They have amazing flavors like panna cotta, black sesame, and others I've never seen before. You must come try this place if you're in town. Favorite gelato of all the places I've been (Milan, La Spezia..).
google avatar

Mela F.

Yelp
This is one of the best gelatos I had in Italy... it was so great, I came twice! I personally loved the ricotta and mascarpone fig gelatos. There are some interesting flavor gelatos like sesame, but since I'm a bad Asian and don't like sesame, I eh about it, but my sister LOVED it! For a couple of euros and a short walk to view the Ponte Vecchio from afar, a must visit gelato shop!
google avatar

Aaron C.

Yelp
When gelato like this exists I can't comprehend tourists who buy mass produced gelato! Santa Trinita offers incredible gelato and great service. The line moves fast and they let you sample flavors as you please. Everything I tried was wonderful. The chocolate flavors are incredibly rich with authentic cocoa flavor. They are balanced by the perfectly smooth, creamy consistency of the gelato. The pistachio was another winner as was the chocolate hazelnut. Do yourself a favor and grab some Gelato from Santa Trinita and go people watch along the Ponte Vecchio for a perfect evening in Firenze!
google avatar

Lee B.

Yelp
Omg this is so good!!!!! Need I say more? No but really this is the best Gelato I've ever had in my life. And I've had a lot of gelato.
google avatar

Yoojin S.

Yelp
Really rich and flavorful gelato! It was also cool seeing Black Sesame (sesamo nero) here--nutty, wholesome, and divine. Sampled some flavors and came down to Dark Chocolate (cioccolato fondente) and sesamo nero. Delicious. Also right next to the bridge overlooking Ponte Vecchio, so you can use that cone of goodness as a prop to take some shameless touristy shots.
