I honestly don’t understand the hype. I’ve cream was good but not amazing. Staff was very nice. The queue was insane on Sunday. Huge disappointment with the flavors. They had only like 6. Wouldn’t go there again

Ginepero gelato and Milk (mini scoop) Gelato. Ice cream flavours offered in western countries are often safe choices which makes me wonder if floral flavours from Birds of paradise can succeed in Western countries. This was probably one or 2 of the only more unique flavor I have seen. Pretty interesting though the crowd here seems to like vanilla or chocolate more.

Why i love this place,?the flavours halooo🤷🏽‍♀️ like its soo good and has a variety of ranges and they are different every time, and the flavours are fresh and you can actually taste, feel and smell them.....if you ate in Zurich, better try this place out. And oooh there is always a bonus test taste ice cream😍

I had the vanilla and choclate gelato and it was amazing. There is also a great view of the lake right by and some benches to sit. Nice workers and very cheap but good. would go again

The ice cream here is very popular and one has to wait in line for some time. But the ice cream is really very nice. My choice this time: Dark chocolate with a little bit pistachio on top.

Who knew that Yogurt and Ovomaltine (Ovaltine) paired well together? I certainly didn't. All my childhood, I had to be coerced into drinking ovaltine, and I still resist the allure of yogurt. But, there was something reassuring about the confidence of the ice cream stand operator (Daniel Kissling?) that the two flavors would work well together, that I took my chances - and they did. Fabulously. He also added a complimentary (mini) scoop of cherry that did exactly the function one would expect of it. That the two flavors worked well together wasn't a coincidence. While standing in line, I'd listened to him pick flavor combinations for people based on their preferences - and he'd impressed me considerably. He is not only knowledgeable about flavors, what works and what doesn't, but also passionate about running his ice cream stand. To be clear, Daniel operates the stand and sources his gelato from Paulo Palumbo's Amore Mio, that has been in business for 20+ years. "Happiness is a cold ice cream scoop", said the Beatles (allegedly) - well, not really, but they could well have instead ;) . All of the elements of happiness work together at Gelati Am See: Great product, passionate and friendly owner. Superb location. What better place to enjoy ice cream than lakeside of Lake Zurich? Just sitting and enjoying the setting sun at the water's edge or after a nice swim in the summer. I say summer because this is a seasonal stand, operating from March through October. Also, who knew that the gelato place that pops up first in a search of best gelato in Zurich wouldn't show up on yelp? (Likely because it's a summer stand)

This is a lovely surprise right at the lake just a short walk from the inner City of Zurich.
