Gelato Messina Braddon

My favorite ice cream place in Canberra! My ultimate favorite is the “cone-ception” served on a cone (not a cup). We went here on a Saturday night, around dinner time and it queued until outside, but it was quite a quick wait. Love the whole vibe & ambience of the place, I’ve been here 5 times in less than 3 months.

Claimed to be the best gelato in Australia and didnt disappoint! Plenty of flavors, tried the pistachio (without praline) and it was so good. Curious to try the pandan and coconut flavor tho! Better to go there on weekdays as the queue is crazy on weekends.

Omg! So delicious 🤤 this ice cream is so tasty and definitely worth this cheat meal after gym 😂💪yum yum. My favourite is dulce de leche it brings all those memories from my childhood. Sometimes is a big line but trust me it’s totally worth the waiting time. Recommend 100 percent. I even enjoy it when is cold weather

The pistachio praline is soooo good!! It's soo nutty and toasted! Yum!! any flavour is too good! Mango is very authentic!

Lots of options and understanding of allergies. They explained there may be cross contamination however they do their best to ensure that it is allergen free, the serve we asked for was from a new batch with washed utensils. Gelato and sorbet was lovely on a hot day.

The gelato is fabulous. True to the flavours I remember as a child from the local Italian Gelato maker. Pity the same authenticity doesn't extend to the coffee. The table and chairs outside are an after thought.

Gelato Messina offers Full flavoured sorbets and gelatos.an abundance of choice in flavours, with options of drinks to accompany the treat. There are also special weekly flavours on offer. Single, double, triple scoop, 0.5 to 1.5 litre take home packs. Take your choice. Or just eat the 1.5 litre pack right there! There are 2 take home packages available - an eco friendly one if you're able to put the gelato in the freezer within 15 mins or the polystyrene version which will give you a little more time, of around 45 minutes. Something to note, the polystyrene containers can be brought back to the store for recycling. Often busy with long queues though worth the wait. There is limited seating outdoors, however there are plenty along the street nearby.

Lonsdale St just got even better with the arrival of Gelato Messina. So many awesome flavors to choose from and it's right next to the Elk & The Pea. There's a few outdoor seating but no shade so it's more of a get your gelato and go for a walk place. There is just one long bench inside that you can sit and eat. Gelato Messina isn't Sydney's favourite Gelato place for no reason. Do yourself a favour and get there today for a cool summer treat.

Sydney favourite ice cream finally opened its doors in Canberra! The store is located in Braddon, offers 35 signature flavours plus rotating weekly specials. Has a friendly stuff, heated outdoor seating area and it is open until late. What else can we ask?
