Gelato Messina Richmond offers a wide variety of flavours, with something new every time! The staff are friendly and happy to let you try different options before choosing. The gelato is rich, smooth, and not overly sweet—absolutely delicious. The shop is clean and well-organized, even when busy. Definitely worth coming back!

Looking at photos of previous reviews, hard to tell if their serving size has gone down dramatically or we just met a worker that was very “light” on serving. Purchased a two scoop gelato. The flavours were lovely but for the price point we felt you are better off going to picolino or another store.

Loved their icecream, got 2 scoops (passionfruit and mango) which tasted spectacular! The people working there were nice and very helpful and helped us choose flavours telling us that everything is halal other than anything labelled with "A" which stands for Alcohol. Would definitely return when possible. Recommend!

Another great Gelateria in Melbourne.. So many unique flavours to choose from, packed with flavour & chunky ingredients. Each week they have special flavours to try which are always interesting & delicious. I had the praline pistachio which was packed with nuts but not overly flavoursome & the tiramisu which I was also a little disappointed in as it wasn’t bursting with the tiramisu / mascarpone / coffee flavours. The service was good - like most ice cream shops - limited seating inside the store. Definitely worth the visit, if in the area 🍨 Buonissimo 😋

ORDERED: 🍦 Pistachio Praline ($6.27) for one scoop in a cone REVIEW: My favourite flavour at Messina, the pistachio praline does me right every time. A caramelised clump brings texture, with the perfect amount of nuttiness coming through. It's addictive, and if you like pistachios normally - you'll love the ice cream version. Was able to taste a little before I committed to the Pistachio. Super helpful to take advantage of trying different flavours so you don't get regret, and they're happy to cater for a couple of tries! Seating is limited, similar to their other locations. Nonetheless, Messina is a classic option and great option for an easy dessert.

This is working its way to becoming my favorite ice cream shop in Melbourne! There are so many flavours to choose from and they were super creative as well. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I also love that it opens really late at night. Will definitely be back for more!
