Gelissimo Gelateria

Here is the review with no dashes and a clean, natural flow: Gelissimo is hands down the best gelato in Wellington. I can’t stop thinking about their lemon yoghurt. It is so unique, fresh and tangy while still being creamy. Most places only offer a lemon sorbet, so this really stood out. The dark chocolate was also incredible. Rich, deep and full of flavour without feeling heavy. The scoops were very generous, which was much appreciated. The gelato itself is light and refreshing. I saw on their website that it is lower fat than most, which makes sense given how clean it tastes. I will definitely be back, especially if they bring out the goody goody gumdrops flavour again.

Delicious Gelato. The dark chocolate is real chocolate, good quality. I also had the matcha Gelato. Very good. The portions are huge!! Worth what you pay. The staff is very friendly. Highly recommended.

Beautiful winters day in Wellington and we're down on the waterfront ... Can't go wrong having an ice cream down there when the weather's nice. And Gelissimo didn't disappoint. I tried the Turkish Delight. I'd not seen it before as ice cream. It is a choice I'll make again. Best ice cream I've had in a long time. My wife had the Choc Mint and was equally impressed.

It was Thursday at 11 am. The sky was beautiful, and the entire street near the harbour was quiet and serene. After a walk, I was keen for something sweet and stumbled upon a great dessert place. Despite being a small shop, it offers high-quality gelato. My partner ordered a kid-sized Mango flavour because she only wanted a small portion, while I ordered a single scoop of Vanilla, as I wasn't in the mood for any fruit flavours. The portions were larger than we expected, which made us even happier. The vanilla was not too sweet but delicious, and the mango was strong flavoured and delightful. We enjoyed our treats on a bench near the shop. If you're near Te Papa and want to try some ice cream, I highly recommend this place.

I sent an email to enquire as to what they have to offer in gelato cakes and I received a quick detailed and helpful response. Thank you Graham for being so helpful, your customer service is excellent. The yum yum flavour was really good, as was the chocolate. We were really impressed that it was made to order and we'll definitely be coming back again.

This is my favourite ice cream shop. They have the best flavours. The dark chocolate is so rich and delicious but they also do interesting flavours I haven't seen elsewhere like roasted rice tea.
