Enjoyed staying here for 2 relaxing weeks. Our 2 bedroom unit #6 on the 2nd floor was nicely furnished, exceptionally clean, well equipped with everything we needed, including a spacious kitchen, smart TV, and small outside patio to enjoy a peek of the distant water view. (The building where all rooms are located is set back behind a bar and restaurant building, so just be aware that you won’t have any view of the beach itself.) The Gem management and entire staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. Daily housekeeping was provided and the room was always kept immaculately clean with fresh flowers and towels. Our housekeeper was always delightful, friendly and attentive to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Being able use the beach, pool, bar and restaurant of the adjacent Kalinago hotel was very much appreciated, as they had the nicest beach area and restrooms. Beach chairs were occasionally available, however most were broken, torn or ‘reserved’ early by guests. The beach was beautiful when we could find chairs to enjoy it. The hotel restaurant / bar had excellent food although we didn’t use it much as the menu was quite limited. We enjoyed the Saturday BBQ on the beach at the adjacent Kalinago hotel, complete with lobster, reggae music and a bonfire, although we felt it was too expensive. We also enjoyed two nearby restaurants which were within walking distance. (Don’t miss the barracuda tacos at nearby LaPlywood beach bar!).

The hotel is right across from the more private Mourne rouge beach and you have a choice of restaurants. We had a garden view, fully equipped apartment that was spacious and included a balcony with partial view of the sea. Our garden view included some neighboring goats which was pleasant to watch them feed on grass. The best thing about this venue is how accommodating, pleasant, and friendly the staff is. Ms Julia, Ms Kathleen, and the other woman who's name I can't recall, thank you for looking after our requested needs. God bless you and your families 🙏🏽.

Just what we needed, a relaxing time, great beach and excellent accommodations. Loraine is a delight. Food is excellent and the beach is both beautiful and family-friendly.

Comfortable accommodations. Friendly and attentive service. But the best part is direct access to the beach. Quiet, clean and safe

Lovely staff especially Lauren my housekeeper. Also the staff in the restaurant and the chef and the manager. |Food was lovely and the beach was amazing. Breakfast was beautiful too. I could go on!!! Only downfall is the outdated furniture, it really needs updating. But other than that it’s a lovely place to stay.

We stayed at Gem Holiday Beach Resort in a ground floor apartment consisting of lounge, kitchen, and a double bedroom, described as a Garden Room. Our room did not have a view as such, but rooms on the higher floors probably do. The decor and furnishings were a tad neglected, but the staff were helpful and efficient. We chose the Gem for its location on a quiet beach in a small bay but within 15mins walk to the busier Grand Anse beach and 20mins to bus connections into the centre of St George's. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served at the beach bar. Would happily stay there again.

We had a great experience at Gem Resort in January 2024. The staff were very helpful and efficient. The rooms are a bit dated but very clean and great value for a whole apartment with balcony and sea views (over rooftops). There is a restaurant / beach bar on site, has a limited menu but good quality food. There is another independent one next door. The hotel is right on Morne Rouge beach which is great for swimming (one of the best swimming beaches we found). Supermarket is 20-25 min walk, centre of St Georges is a bit further and probably a taxi ride away. We would stay again.

A phone was stolen from our apartment and the attitude of the owner or manager or who ever she is was the reason for my raiting. Spend 10 days there on business as a group. One of my colleague's phone was stolen. You can see where someone took to the door with something pointy and flat to pry open the door. We had room 14. Police came etc. The attitude of the owner or manager however was very disturbing to me cause she acted as though it was no big thing. Talking about the phone can be tracked and it should have insurance and what not. Not taking into account, a room was broken into and something was stolen. All while everyone was asleep in their rooms. Safety and security is a big thing for me. What if the person came into the bedrooms. To me that's a no no. Our room was changwd and we got rooms with more secure solid wood doors instead of the sliding glass door we had at room 14. For the rooms, appliances are outdated some don't even work properly. The entire place needs to be upgrade in terms of infrastructure. Phones don't work. The best thing there is literally the beach. Clean, water turquoise and clear. Breezy. Perfect for pics and videos. Food at the restaurant was pretty decent. Drinks decent. There are other restaurants for you to visit very close by. The location is okay, just note you'll need transportation to get in and out. A rental car is recommended. Sinks and toilet has rust stains. So does the shower. It needs upgrades in every area especially security. Checked the cctv camera after the break-in, it shows that after we came in which was a but late the only other person it oicked up was the security cause it's motion sensor.
