My Husband and I Sold Everything at 55 Years Old to Travel the World
"A waterfall in Bali where they posed while staying in an affordable villa with a private pool; discovering waterfalls by scooter through the jungle was part of their shift from routine shopping and dining to market stalls, $1 warung noodles, and simple, immersive island life." - Shelly Peterson
8 reasons to visit one of Bali’s best-kept secrets - SilverKris
"A tucked-away cascade reached after an 8km trek south from the village, this tall, narrow waterfall drops over natural ledges into a series of small pools; the second tier features a jacuzzi-sized pool deep enough to swim in. The site is marked by a small Balinese gate and regarded as sacred by locals. The climb down can be steep and rugged, but rewards visitors with sweeping Sidemen Valley views and a little open-air café at the summit. Entry is free, though a donation of about 20,000 IDR is commonly suggested." - Penny Watson
This waterfall is AMAZING!
There is plenty of moto parking and a donation stand to enter.
You have to climb many steps, but the views are worth it.
There are various levels and small pools you can get in and great spots for photos.
The restaurant at the top has an amazing view and toilets.
There is a “shower” - water from the fall by the parking lot.
Highly recommend it!

Nice waterfall, not too many people either, we didn’t swim because the water looked cloudy, but other people were so I’m sure it was fine! Heaps of stairs to get to the top, so probably better for fit or younger. Heaps of free scooter parking.

Was a really nice walk up to the highest point. It will take you about 15 minutes. 3 layers of infinity pools. I was wearing slippers, because you have to pass some water challenges. It's not difficult.
It was not crowdy when we visit around 14.00 pm
No entrance fee

I liked it. It's easy to reach, following Google Maps. The streets partly a little rough. Drive carefully. It wasn't too crowded on a Friday early afternoon. The way up is OK. Not too many stairs. Maybe 100+/-. Lay in in one of the pools or enjoy the great view in the restaurant on top.
For entry, as many here wrote, donate between 20-50K. It's worth.

I went to visit Gembleng Waterfall as my last stop on my private tour in East Bali before settling in Sidemen. There were many parked vans, cars and motorbikes when I arrived so it made me think that the queue to take a picture in the "waterfall pool" would be massive, but to my surprise, there were only 2 couples before us. There were quite a few stairs to walk up/down but not as much as some other waterfalls I've already visited. There were changing rooms near the carpark as well as up near the restaurant (higher/further up the stairs past the "pool"). The water was refreshing and clean. Saw a few frogs around too :) Entry was by donation and I paid 20k.

A truly powerful experience. The higher we went, the more beautiful the view became. Definitely recommend visiting. We also got some rain, and with the rain, the views seemed even more magical

The stairs are quite high (typical Balinese steps), but totally worth it – the views are stunning! At the entrance you give a small donation, and there’s also a little restaurant with local prices, cheap and really good food. Definitely recommend coming here!

First of all, really good view from the top of the waterfall. Second of all, it's perfect to just soak in the water and enjoy the breeze. The waterfall itself is not really spectacular in anyway, otherwise this place would be a 5 star
