An incredible place to spend a night. Quiet, beautiful views, incredible stars at night, grest food and friendly staff. Whether you're planning to hike or ski, or just look at the view, the lodge makea a grest base. Very good value.

I stayed here and we were welcomed and served well by the staff in both the rooms and the restaurant. Our room had a very beautiful view. The room was just the right size for the two of us. The restaurant's service staff and people take care of every customer equally well. Accommodation prices include breakfast and dinner. The nature around this accommodation is very good, especially in the morning having breakfast and watching the sunrise, it is very beautiful. You can go hiking every day for exercise. There are wild animals that can be seen in the morning, such as chamois. There are many delicious dishes to choose from. The prices are reasonable. Overall, this place is very good. I recommend it. We just spent our New Year's Eve at this mountain lodge and we LOVED it! Their staff is so kind and helpful. The owner (manager?) is the nicest guy, always smiling and answering all our questions. True hospitality excellence! The food is amazing - really bravo to their chef! The atmosphere of the place is amazing - you are on a cliff, cut off from the village at 5pm when the cable car stops :)... the views from the restaurant are some of the best mountain views you can get... we stayed 2 nights but we wish we could stay a week great place for x-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledging, ski-touring...

Amazing views from room and restaurant. Food was fantastic and very generous. The bathrooms were very clean and everything was very well maintained. Breakfast was a good variety. Very good value for money, especially because the gondola is free if you stay at lodge. Went with a young family and we enjoyed the easy hiking to the lake, had a day of fun skipping rocks and playing in the water.

The view is amazing, the food is excellent and for a Berghotel in Switzerland the prices reasonable. The room was very clean and comfortable. || I appreciated the simple web reservation system and the gondola ride was included in the price. ||The lounge/ bar area is very comfortable with the same great views and a deck that would be sensational on a sunny day. ||You should be aware that there are shared WC\showers. ||The tap water is not drinkable so bring a bottle or two of your own if you are planning to hike out to Kandersteg when you leave.||Would absolutely stay there again if I was in the area.

Stayed for 2 nights. Modern restaurant and lounge with great views. Food is served every evening at 18:45 and breakfast 7 - 9. Overall great service and location, would definitely stay again. The cable car runs every 30 minutes from 0800 - 1800 and is free for staying guests. Parking is 10€ per day.

This is a great, great mountain hotel/restaurant. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the restaurant has recently had a brilliant refurb and has a very nice feeling to it. the half board is great with lovely food served in the evening. If you want to stay up high in Switzerland and don't want to be in a 'hut' but a hotel then go here.
