This shop is fantastic. Corey has accumulated a really intriguing assortment of antiques, and she's managed to curate a vibe that is warm, welcoming, and very aesthetically pleasing. This is not your run-of-the mill antique shop. You owe it to yourself to pop by.
I was having a surreal day traipsing around Del Norte with my kids while my mother-in-law was being worked up for a spine fracture at the local ER. It was Memorial Day weekend, and General Specific Store was pretty much the only thing open. Just for something to do, we wandered in, and my kids immediately started running around examining all the treasures. They were a bit loud and touched pretty much everything in the store. Rather than being annoyed, Corey and Sage were absolutely lovely. They gave us a curated tour of the shop, the courtyard, and the incredible apartments above the store. We weren't really there with the intention to purchase anything, but Corey was excited to share her world with us, anyway (with the patience of a saint). She and Sage turned a bummer of a day into a highlight. They and this store are rare gems.
