Not the normal hostel I would stay in because it is very big and is not cozy. But I’m giving it 5 stars because of the location, facilities and feels well run. They have a number of places where you can sit and chill out where there is good ac. Location is on the edge of gracia which is my favourite barrio here. The rooms all have a bathroom and toilet with others on the floor and downstairs, with hot water. So you are never waiting. Lockers to hold you belongings - although you have to pay but atleast it is very safe. Televisions to watch sport. Beds also come with a socket. Washing machines in the basement. Also low key security people - which I think it’s important for a big hostel. I did have an issue with my bed and reception were very nice and offered to change it to a bottom bunk - so appreciate that Giuliana. Check in - super easy and quick. My friend booked into another hostel near by and she had to wait 2 hours to check in. Things that could be improved - ac in the room because I found it very hot - curtains on the bed to give more privacy It’s not my type of hostel because it is very big and lacks that cozyness. But it’s clean, got great facilities for a hostel, in a great location and everything works well.

Worst open mic ever. If you're a musician, or just looking to play to some people I would recommend any other one in the city. Me and few friends were really excited to play here last Friday. We arrived on time and were immediately told that because we hadn't dm'd we were on the waiting list and there were 8 people in front of us. It should be noted that their messages via social media never explained that this was the protocol, they just said you could message them. Fine, we were happy to wait, support other people etc. Whilst we waited it became quickly apparent that the organisation was really bad. People were allowed to play as many songs as they liked, the host did nothing to intervene or establish some common ground rules. The bar is expensive: it's a hostel near Gracia so it's to be expected. The 'free' drink that your ticket gets you is 'free' just so long as you're happy to spend 9 euros for bravas. That's not an exaggeration. After around two hours, as the open mic session was coming to a close, I asked the host again if we were likely to play, seeing as now 7 people had had their turn and, presumably, we just needed to wait for one more person. The answer was no, since we had arrived and waited patiently, a bunch of other people had dm'd and turned up later. It seems that being present, asking politely, buying drinks at the bar, and supporting the other open mic goers is not as valid as someone who dms whenever, and also turns up whenever. Yeah we were pissed and obviously left. It's a shame because the space is pretty good. But honestly, do yourself a favour and find somewhere else which doesn't disrespect people's time, and yeah money in this case too.

I had the pleasure of staying at Generator and Nico made the experience unforgettable. Super friendly, helpful, and always available when I needed advice about the city. He went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. The hostel itself is clean, lively, and perfectly located, but Nico’s hospitality really made the difference. Highly recommend staying here, and special thanks to Nico for making Barcelona feel like home!

I ordered a smashed burger and an espresso martini and got exactly what I wanted. Bartenders are very nice and attentive. The drinks were good and overall I was pleased with my experience, I would def come back.

The room was good, we had ac and the beds were comfortable. However, I am giving a 2 stars regarding service because I left some items behind to dry and unfortunately forgot to grab them on my way out to my early flight. To specify I left a bikini and a pink towel as well as a pink Stanley mug. I was in a room with 5 other guys, so it would be kind of ironic if they took it ( which I know they didnt because we all exchanged phone numbers and they hadn't seen it after housekeeping passed) I asked reception 2 days after my checkout if they had located my items or spoke to housekeeping, and I was told they didnt have it. knowing that there are female staff on the housekeeping service makes this pretty obvious in my opinion. again, the only reason im giving 2 stars is because of this specific event. The reception staff was helpful and professional. Location was great, very accessible and has pretty much everything you might need/want within walking distance.

This is an incredibly located hostel. You can walk to a lot of stuff near by but aside from that the staff and events here are amazing too. Spent a lot of time in the bar socialising and Raul & Guido know how to make sure people are having a great time, giving recommendations for things do around town. I’ll be back for sure!
