George Perrier needs to take some of his vitriolic energy and culinary expertise to manage the menu and talent in one of his name sake establishments on the Main Line. The restaurant, George’s, bares his name, or at the very least a tribute to the chef, George Perrier, whose name is referenced. Certain assaults against one’s palate need to be healed.
We experienced such a culinary offense recently (April 7, 2013) at the George's restaurant (in Wayne on the Main Line, 15 miles west of Philadelphia). Instead of a delicate and seductive, disciplined dance of epicurean delight upon the palate, the food was an assault of intense flavorings, salt and fat that overwhelmed the natural taste of expensive foods.
It is unfortunate that our expectations for a culinary experience left us $240.00 poorer. We were left with regret for selecting George's. Our expectations were that George’s would present us with an opportunity to experience gastronomic superiority. Unfortunately, our dining experience was a significant disappointment.
Out of respect for the patrons of George's and our recent experience, it is highly recommended that the owner(s) manager(s) review the George’s menu, finesse the global cuisine and honor the legacy of the person who is referenced by name. George Perrier is an institution in the Philadelphia area. The George’s restaurant is associated with his legacy. George would be very disappointed. George’s needs to fine tune their presentations before exposing a trusting public to their incompetent culinary art.
