Ordered, the food came and the chicken was basically raw and bloody (as seen in the images) they forgot about a large part of our order and after calling the resturant 5 times, they still did not answer. This is horrible customer service, mistakes happens but sending two vhickens like this is a serious health risk.

Good price for this area in Amsterdam, yammi good, service could be better but is ok, good location! I will come one day back!

Fancy average and overpriced food. Waiters are usually arrogant, so the audience. Don't ask for tap water if you want to avoid strange looks from other visitors. Because of the neighborhood people are not coming here to eat, but rather to socialize and show off. This impacts the quality. So if you're hungry of want to spend a good time better find another place.

What a disappointing experience... Yesterday we went there for lunch specifically for lobster. When we finally picked our lobster dish we were told that they don't have any lobster. Fine, probably something went wrong with the lobster supply, it happens but since they brand themselves as a place for "lobster, chicken and burgers" they could have mention this during table reservation an hour earlier or at least when they handed us the menu. Our waitress was rude and careless. It was a hot day and I'm heavily pregnant and was feeling a bit unwell so I asked her if there is any way she could seat us in the shade. She said there is nothing she can do. However, when 15 mins later 2 young men went to her with the same request, she pulled a table for them under an umbrella. When I asked her why couldn't she do the same for us, all her response was "Sorry...". On top of that she also forgot our fries and the chicken roll that we ordered was kinda tasteless. I hope that we just had a very unlucky day with timing, waitress and dish choice and this place generally does better!

Definitely not recommending to eat there, we've ordered 3 hamburgers and ask it well done and received it less then rare - we are currently at home with a stomachache - as the three of us feels the same pain, this is not a coincidence. plus the french fries were disgusting.

George Bistro Bistro strikes me as a hit or miss. Despite the service not being the best or professional. However, I will still try to give them a second chance by coming back one more time. Hopefully, they can redeem themselves next time. I order the sweet potato fries and chicken. The fries and sauce were tasty but I was not so impressed with the chicken.

I was a little disappointed here. The location is good and atmosphere is nice but service wasn't great. It took a really long time to get our check, had to ask twice. I spent €15 on the skinny burger with the homemade fries and water. The fries is a small portion. Not a good size for sharing. Make sure to ask them to cook it well done if you want it that way. I didn't want it well done but it was borderline raw, I wish they had cooked it a little more. Not a ton of flavor in the burger. My friend ordered the Parmesan fries and I didn't think they were great so might as well get the regular fries and save the €2.

Nice location, great food, and cute interior! Staff was friendly and spoke English. Burgers were great (a taste of home for you fellow Americans!) and the beef was genuine. Burgers are cooked in a broiler oven which gives them a nice flavor. Make sure to specify your cooking temp and perhaps go one step above what you usually order to ensure your burger is not too pink. Fries were also nice. The interior of this restaurant is super cute and added to the experience on the quaint little Amsterdam corner! A great and fast experience!

Lobster Salad was good but not worth ordering again. Half a lobster and the tail was very small---not much meat at all. Not worth 19 Euros!!

I enjoyed the bistro setting, nice atmosphere, but food was a bit of disappointment. We had a lobster salad and half a chicken (spicy option). Lobster salad had a bunch of lettuce leaves and half of a small lobster, that cost us €14 a pop. It didn't have proper dressing, or anything else exciting about it - definitely not worth the money. Half of chicken was served on a cast iron pan, and I got very confused on how to consume it. It wasn't the type of place that you'd expect to eat food with your hands (I'm looking at you, Nandos!), neither the chicken was cooked to the condition of meat falling off the bones to eat it with knife & fork. It was decent, yet confusing.

The soup is amazing! We ate here twice, and both times were lovely. The staff was friendly and multi-lingual, the bread was tasty, and the corner active ave interesting.

This place has the best burgers in Amsterdam. It is in my neighborhood and we were super excited to find such great burgers right here just down the street, but even if we were across the city we would come here for our burger fix. Salads and chicken are excellent as well. Service is great!

Ordered food for a dinner in the office. Despite we ordered 3 hours in advance, the delivery was late and LITERALLY half of the items we ordered were missing. The rest of the items were delivered, after multiple calls, 1h30 after our initial order delivery time. Unfortunately, it does not end here as my chicken was also way too salty and inexplicably heavy. My colleagues also thought the food quality was awful and EVERYONE FELT NAUSEOUS after the meal. The rocket salad that was supposed to come with the chicken was also missing of course. The 3.50€ green salad my colleague ordered was LITERALLY 5 leaves of lettuce thrown in a box - no additional vegetables, no bread, no nothing. JUST LETTUCE. This is ridiculous considering that a burger without any sides can cost up to 16€ in this place. I highly advise you to STAY AWAY!

Great food and very friendly wait staff. The 1/2 chicken dinner is amazing and the burgers are great as well. Not a fast food type of place, but as the name says a Neighborhood ,Bistro". If your looking for speed try Macdonalds. For a nice pleasurable relaxing evening I would recommend Georges.

Quaint little restaurant I stumbled into after walking around dazed, confused, and hungry in Vondelpark after a trip into a local coffeehouse. I really needed some quick food and a drink, and this place hit the spot. Really tasty burger, and the fries were also good. Many locals were eating here. My waitress was very nice, and she even let me take home a little jar of olives that was on each table as memento.

I would love to add Burgers to the category here! I saw their vegetarian burger on the menu (Portabella Mushroom, Jalepeńo and arrabbiata sauce) and asked if they would make me exactly this but add the burger patty ... OMG! The best burger I've tried here in Amsterdam! If you like juicy and spicy, This is one to try! I was dreaming of that damn burger for 2 days! I will be back for my next burger craving for sure! Cool Art Deco decor, Great Service!

Just ordered take out via foodora and it was great. Ordered 2 Bistro burgers for work lunch with a side of fries and corn. Also a cheese cake to share. I find its hard to find good burgers in Amsterdam (have a few favorites) and now George is one of the top on the list. Side of corn was delightful and also their cheesecake top notch. Thank you!

The food is pretty solid here. Burgers are tasty, fries are crispy and good and salads are good as well. The wait staff is friendly BUT it takes forever to get your order!! We've only been there twice and we're hoping the first time -- when had over a half hour wait for food -- was unusual, but the next time we went back, it was the same. It simply does not take 30 minutes to cook a burger -- it is the quintessential fast food! Please get it together and business will be even better. Not sure we will go back and would not recommend it to our neighbors. We live in the neighborhood, so it's unfortunate.

Fun little restaurant that recently opened on Koninginneweg. Classic american-style burgers, intimate (gezellig) atmosphere and friendly staff. Also impressed that I could walk away from a dinner for two for less than E40! Not so easy to find this quality-to-price ratio in Oud Zuid. Recommended!

Fantastic burger and cous cous salad. The frozen yogurt with Oreos, cherries, and pecans was delicious, too! Great service!
