They saved our 2-week walking vacation. Have foot problems plus injuring the foot on the first day. Susie patiently helped me tried on many pairs of hiking boots until I found the right one. The selection is great and they even have small sizes. We were referred to this store by other outdoor stores when they didn’t have what I needed.

We both bought walking boots and trail shoes not cheap but excellent quality. Ric & Sam were very knowledgeable and professional as well as being very patient. A big thank you to them both. Wyn & Fiona

A shop full of amazing kit and highly knowledgeable staff. I went in looking for some new boots and the gentleman who I spoke to was so helpful. He measured my feet and instep, concluded that I had quite narrow feet (which was probably the cause of blisters in my previous boots) and found me the perfect pair! Although I didn't purchase any then due to the price, I am very grateful for their help!

Rang store to be told I could use a gift card I had recieced from go outdoors after traveling over 60 miles to store a couple of days later, and finding product to purchase was told I couldn't use it. Also sale assistant who served me at the till thought I could use it until other member of staff stated I couldn't lack of training and communication. Won't be going back plenty of stores in town with similar gear and better customer service

Amazing selection, relative prices, staff were very friendly and welcoming, happy to help answer any questions, they were also available throughout the store which was great seeing how big the store is! Store was clean and well layed out.

We just popped in to browse, I expected it to be expensive, they had some very good deals on paddle boards and canoes, we bought some beach shoes, they had none my size, but they were very helpful finding out if they had any in stock, or arriving soon. Would visit again

George Fisher is awesome shop. I'd loved to have had it to myself as it's so busy. Didn't stock half sizes in Hokas, a notoriously tighter fitting brand.

Bought a pair of Altberg boots , assisted by Peter who was both knowledgeable and helpful throughout , very friendly service even though shop got quite busy with other customers he kept checking in to see how I was getting on .

Absolutely delicious food and excellent staff. Giving suggestions on what to try depending on how hungry you are. Will definitely be back again and can see why everyone I spoke to in town suggests them with a smile.

A specialist outdoors shop, here they have a very wide range of equipment. There are 2 floors of waterproofs, hiking boots, specialist walking gear, maps, books, DVDs and much much more. The staff are very knowledgeable and as well as advising you on the best purchase for you, they will also offer you information on where you can go and try out your new equipment locally. They have a large range of walking boots and even have pretend hills for you to walk up and down to ensure your fit is right! They also have a cafe which offers a welcome rest from the cold outdoors.

Famous Outdoor Shop in Keswick. Find it to be one for the tourists. Although the staff are friendly and helpful - you pay for it. It is definitely worth shopping about for the clothing and camping stuff. I was organising an overseas trip and needed some specialist bits and pieces, whilst I found them in there they were much more expensive than other places in town, never mind the internet.They have a nice selection of books on the third floor. They have a very good ski service - waxing and edging or full service. Very much a tourist institution - Harrods (of the outdoor world) in Keswick.

There's loads of stuff here but because it's so popular and busy I think the staff often don't have the time to really help, especially on boots and shoes. If you want specialist advice and information about what's best for whatever you're doing I'd try Needlesports or Cotswolds instead because the service is a bit more relaxed and personal.

The shop is OK and the staff are helpful but if you are looking for something standard such as a jacket you can definitely get a better deal elsewhere, and lets face it keswick is full of such outlets. Apart from the clothing there is a good range of maps and books with a coffee shop on the top floor.
