We had a lovely stay at The George Sunday night, we love staying here when we get a chance. The receptionist was welcoming and checked us in quickly. We had a room on the 6th floor ,it's windows really need replacing, we heard everything on the street during the night and early morning which we hadn't experienced before on previous stays, which was very disappointing. The bar staff were very pleasant too.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was very nice and has everything we needed. Husband however had a hard time sleeping because of constant creaking floor boards from upstairs [we were on the fifth floor]. Didn't bother me as I wear earplugs.

The hotel is well situated in the town… but let’s be real, it is not a 4-star hotel by any stretch of the imagination.||Our room was cramped and damp. Virtually no air circulation and the windows don’t open enough to let much fresh air in. Not that you’d want the windows open anyway given the incessant beeping from the cross walk just out the window. We all sweat through our pajamas and sheets, gross. ||Upon check in, we were told our parking could be validated, bringing the total down from €20 to €12. We were asked to give reception our ticket, and they gave us back another one. Was meant to be that simple. ||Upon leaving the garage, we had to pay an additional €20! When we called the hotel and asked to be refunded the €20, we were told the hotel couldn’t do that as we didn’t pay them that amount… they could only refund us the €12 we pre-paid. Rather than just crediting it back against our room, we essentially paid what we would have without validation. ||A real 4-star hotel would have owned up to the mistake, taken the cost out of their fees and given us the €20 back. ||The only redeeming quality of this place was the lovely woman working at the mediocre restaurant.

Great room, plenty of space and very clean. The hotel has a lift to all floors, our shower was over the bath and had a grab rail - I have dodgy knees so felt it would have benefited from an extra rail at the end of the bath. Great position in the centre of Limerick walking distance to the river, castle and Hunt's Museum. Staff at the hotel were excellent and they went above and beyond to be helpful. We ate in the restaurant a number of times and found the food very tasty, plentiful and, we felt, good value. Although there is no on site parking, you can draw up at the front of the hotel to to book in although the road is very busy. The car park is very close and the deal offered by the hotel is excellent.

Absolutely fantastic hotel, there is almost nothing to complain about. I'm not sure if the shower curtains are cleaned though which is a bother and also a couple days I was woken up by the sound of pipe work and that was without any warning. Great location too.

Had a 2 night city break here, excellent location and helpful warm staff. Stated off bad with a wrong price on the monies due being wrong. That was fixed with a phone call being made. Booked dinner for one night, food is good but in my view overpriced as per menu prices, thankfully we got a good deal on a 3 course meal. Breakfast was disappointing, ordered eggs Benedict and our order was served. Eggs were overcooked and we were waiting a long time. Looked like our order was forgotten about. Overall, we would stay there again. However would be eating out somewhere else as it represents better value. Will give the breakfast experience another chance because it was a busy time and there was a lot happening, (a bus load of people had arrived the night before). Look forward to staying again and looking forward to an improved experience.

Recently stayed at this hotel for a hen party that I organised. So easy to deal with from initial inquiry to when we arrived on the day. Early check in was available for most our party, which was great for those travelling long distances. The city centre location is ideal as everything is within walking distance (in heels!) & eliminated the extra costs of taxis. Had our group meal here too, very tasty & reasonable too! Would definitely recommend for a group booking or a girlie night away.

The friendly staff at the reception made me feel welcome. The twin room we had was quite small, especially the bathroom which had a small sink, toilet and shower in it. Unfortunately there was no air conditioning or ventilation system. Therefore the temperature in the room was very hot, especially after using the shower. The windows could only be tilted, so little fresh air could come in to the room. At night it was very warm. When i contacted staff regarding this issue, they suggested to use the small table fan in the room. The breakfast was chaotic due to a large group using the breakfast buffet. After this group left it was better. Overall is this hotel in a convenient location in town.
