Excellent all around. The service was delightful. The sommelier's suggestion of the Mettler Petit Syrah to replace the Tempranillo was fantastic. The food was excellent--I cannot recommend the Truffle Mac and Cheese highly enough. The GPS Signature Filet Mignon was extraordinary. I wish I had had room for dessert!

They offers an impressive selection of meats, perfect for steak and wagyu enthusiasts. The variety and quality of their cuts were remarkable, catering to diverse tastes. The restaurant itself had a quiet and intimate atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for a cozy dinner or a romantic date. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable

Google
Definitely the greatest meat I’ve ever tried. The environment is so intimate and perfect. The staff can’t be more friendly and the food in general is delicious. Beware though, that your bill will be +4000 kc for 2 people for sure. It’s worth it for special occasions at least.

Very good one. The best place for luxury steak and any kind of meat in Prague. Classic restaurant with top service ! We had private room for 12 and it was great.

Google
Great food, we especially loved the lobster agnolotti as a starter! The meat was delicious and the service was okay.

Google
This restaurant is a must when visiting. Quite honestly one of the best meals I have ever had. The service was excellent and so was the attention to detail. If you are able to eat here, I would highly recommend.

Google
I picked this place based on the reviews but I have to be completely honest, unfortunately this place was overrated and super over priced. For the people who claim this was the "best steak of their lives" they haven't had good steak before. The staff was kind, spoke very little, no issues there. We got the porterhouse steak for 2, mash potatoes with lobster (which comes with a whopping 5 tiny pieces of lobster) and mixed mushrooms. The best tasting thing...the mushrooms. We even had to order a sauce for the steak cause it just didn't have any flavor. Well flavored steak normally doesn't need any sauce. Total cost 4100Kc which is around $181. It was 1000% not worth it. You could get yourself a better steak somewhere else for a fraction of the price. Here you pay for the frills and fancy atmosphere but definitely not the taste. When the food is good the price doesn't matter but it was so disappointing that I felt I had to leave an honest review.

Yelp
Wonderful steakhouse. Ambiance decadent. Table side steak selection. Extensive liquor menu. Perfect setting to celebrate a special occasion. Service efficient and well orchestrated.

Yelp
Wow. Service good and drinks amazing. I had New York strip. Was so tasty. Espresso martini one of the best

Yelp
Don't walk here... RUN. This restaurant is phenomenal, one of the best steaks I have EVER had... We were lucky to get a cancellation and the restaurant was bouncing when we got there. Staff were the best we met in Prague, absolutely knew their game and the sommelier was top notch. Started with the prawn cocktail which was sensational, served in mini ice blocks with tomato & horseradish which was lovely. Had the rib-eye which was PHENOMENAL, beautifully aged beef and it was like butter. Sides we had the cauliflower cheese, potato gratin and the spinach- all beautiful If I'm Prague and looking for a fine dining experience then this place is a must

Yelp
It was a delightful night. The steaks were Perfect! The family was beyond static. Service was great, atmosphere was chic, perfect for dates but still can bring the family and kids. Sides were fantastic, I just wished the variety were larger. Expensive but worthy to us. We'll be coming back. ;)

Yelp
Delicious steakhouse in Prague. We had the... * beet salad * green salad * filet mignon * lemon and herb chicken * mixed wild mushrooms * baked potato * french fries ... and they were all delicious! I recommend every dish listed here. The service was great and the place is very nice. It's located in the old city near a nice place to walk by and shop. *All the steaks are all USDA Prime, imported from the USA, are organically fed, and are given no hormones; they are the highest quality grade for steaks given in the US. The steaks are very high quality, tender, and flavorful. They are cooked at 650 degrees in a double sided broiler, which gives the meats a beautiful and delicious crust. 10/10!

Yelp
Geroge's is a rather swish joint with awesome steaks. Service was impeccable - friendly, yet classy. The steak itself was well prepared. It's something they clearly take pride in. A little pricey, but if you appreciate steak (or want to see what is really possible) it's definitely worthwhile. You can customise the cooking level as you like (except for Well Done - that's apparently banned, but Medium Well here will keep you happy if normally like Well Done at other spots), add on different sides and sauces (sauces also end up on the side, so you can better appreciate the steak). Also a bunch of wines available to enjoy with your meal, plus a pretty full bar range for afterwards.

Yelp
This is my first steakhouse ever and it was a fantastic experience. I came here with a few friends who have been to a few steakhouses and the three of them also mentioned it being one of the best dining experiences at a steakhouse as well. The waiter gave a detailed description of each cut of steak with the cut on a tray for us to see. I ordered the boneless ribeye with bearnaise sauce and truffle butter and a ceaser salad. The ceaser salad came with candy bacon strips that added a hint of sweetness and crunchiness to the salad that was fantastic. I ordered the ribeye medium since it's the fattiest and typically the most flavorful cut. I've grilled ribeye at home and have been told it was good, but this ribeye was perfect and blew my ribeye out of the water. It was juicy and didn't have a large amount of fat around it since it cooked into the meat. The bearnaise sauce made the ribeye really rich when combined but the truffle butter was light and creamy and complimented the ribeye really well. George prime is a must if you're looking for fine dining while in Prague.

Yelp
Definitely one of the best steaks in Prague. For sure try the filet mignon with their amazing sauces and let the sommelier recommend you some nice wine to pair the meal with. Once ready with the meal, don't forget about some nice sweet ending since their desserts are delicious! Even though the upper room is amazingly decorated, I personally enjoy the lower smaller room close to the bar

Yelp
We treated ourselves out to a nice Steak dinner on our last night in Prague. My boyfriend and I shared the Bone-In Cowboy Steak and Lobster with of course Foie Gras on top! I found it funny that ALL their wines were from California. We came to another country to get away from California, but oh well. We stuck to what we knew best and got a bottle of Caymus. The others shared bone marrow for an appetizer and we ordered mushrooms, beets and fries to share with the meals. Overall good service, very proper lol. Good place for a date night!

Yelp
George Prime Steak is one of the best restaurants in all of Prague, and probably its best steak house. We were in the neighborhood and took a chance by walking in. Luckily, it was sort of early. They were able to seat us, but gave us a time two-hour time limit in when to finish the meal. That seemed like a reasonable amount of time, as we weren't sitting down for a 10 course tasting menu. The meal started off with an impressive bread basket, which required to containers. The was a generous amount of butter topped with black salt. The Herb & Lemon Crusted Roasted Veal Bone Marrow (~$13) came with a whopping three bones, that had a nicely brown crust. The bone marrow was like a fatty Jell-O, quivering with rich goodness. The dish was served with toasted crostini and an onion jam, which helped to offset the richness of the bone marrow. The Chilled Jumbo Black Tiger Shrimp Cocktail (~$13) appeared to be more style over substance. The shrimp were served in cups made out of ice to retain temperature and texture, but only covered a small portion of the shrimp. The shrimp remained tender demonstrating expert cooking. The ice containers also contained the cocktail sauce, which tasted like ketchup and was missing the heat that horseradish would provide. Rather than having a fancy presentation, I'd much rather have another shrimp, LOL. The Roasted Beet Salad (~$10) contained both red and golden beets. They were soft, yet sill retained some firmness. The salad was served with grapefruit segments and goat cheese with a champagne vinaigrette. The grapefruit segments were too large and added too much acidity at once. The goat cheese was nice and creamy. There were also pistachios which added a nice crunchy texture. The Lobster Bisque (~$11) came with an impressive dome of puff pastry, which was light as a feather. The bisque was bursting with lobster goodness, and finished off with a nice hint of sherry. The Porterhouse for Two (~$72) was 34 oz. and was carved tableside. The steaks are wet aged, so not as nutty as a dry aged steak would be. The strip steak side had a nice fat cap, while the filet side was rather large and very tender. The steak was cooked to a nice medium rare, if not a tad underdone. The steak had a nice beefy flavor, but I thought it was rather comical to be eating steak in Europe that came from the U.S. The Black Truffle Mac & Cheese (~$5.50) was made with large shells which served as cups for the super cheesy and creamy sauce. There were only small shavings of truffle however. The dish was way too rich to finish, but was very good. As beet fanatics, the Sugar Roasted Beets with Aged Balsamic (~$4) were perfectly cooked and sweet. The balsamic added a brightness to the dish. This was probably the lightest dish of the night. The Vanuari Noir Chocolate "Volcano" (~$8) was like a large raspberry filled chocolate truffle, which was served tableside and warm chocolate ganache was poured over the top to add to the decandance of the dish. There were crushed almond biscuits to provide a nice crunch, with some fresh raspberries to make this a healthy dish. The meal ended with some chocolates but we were too full to eat. George Prime Steak is a great restaurant. Service was attentive, but not pushy throughout the meal. The food was excellent. Although pricey by Prague standards, this meal would be considered very reasonable back in California.

Yelp
What a beautiful interior! The staff was well trained spoke excellent English and is really felt like I they understood the concept of customer is king. The food was delicious and well prepared with great ingredients. The burgers were cooked to perfection. I can really recommend this place. It's more high and but you really get your penny's worth. Staf 5 stars Interior 5 stars Food 5 stars Price 5 stars

Yelp
Coming from CA, this place was pretty lackluster - Definitely not as good as CA steakhouses like Mastros or Morton's or even Ruth Chris. In fact, having steak here basically turned us off steak for the rest of the trip. Each of the steaks in our group was cooked very unevenly - and my medium rare ribeye came out practically medium well, thus making the ribeye unusually tough. This might be a good steakhouse for those who have never experienced quality steak elsewhere, but to be honest, the steak and food here is thoroughly mediocre. The only redeeming quality of this steakhouse is that their cocktails were amongst the best I've ever had in Europe - so keep up the good work there!

Yelp
Wow. How do I sum this place up... I would dare to say that it is 4-star dining at 2-star pricing. If you're soul searching for a steakhouse like Harold and Kumar, I would probably crown this as the pinnacle of steakhouses in Prague. Tip: Make reservations in advance. Ambience is nice and reserved. The hosts and waiters are the masters of their craft - no complaints on service. The restaurant has a knowledgeable sommelier that would be able to give you a great run down on their decent sized wine menu. But really, the food is really what makes this place great. You'll probably have a bit of trouble picking through the different exquisite menu choices available like we did, but we narrowed it down to a signature smokey old-fashion cocktail, herb crusted veal marrow, 500g bone-in ribeye, creamed mash potatoes, and mac'n'cheese (each), which was paired with a bottle 2012 Jana Cabernet Sauvignon. The meal was glorious from start to finish and I pretty much let Jesus take the wheel on the drive home back to Germany since we were both in a food-induced coma. Final damage - 5820 Korunas ~ 270 USD. Not bad at all for a high-end steakhouse.

Yelp
Great food and service! We shared the lobster bisque and caesar salad to start. The caesar salad was one of the best caesar salads I have ever had - great dressing, croutons and bacon! The lobster bisque was really lovely but a bit heavy as it came with a roll baked onto the top of the bowl. We both had the "petite" filet mignon with grilled prawn. We ordered it, of course, medium rare, and it was perfect. The filet was a very large portion - I would guess closer to 9-10 oz - almost too large, but it was so good I ate it all. For sides we had the mashed potato, truffle mac and cheese, and asparagus - all delicious. For drinks I started with the grapefruit martini which was amazing! We had a zinfandel to go with the steak and it was really nice and dry. The service at the restaurant was great - we did not have to wait to order, for our waters to be refilled, or for the bill. Everything was very prompt. While we did not use the sommelier since we knew what we wanted, he seemed very enthusiastic and helpful and we overheard him helping other tables. Our total came to about $200 - a great value! Overall, very nice restaurant with great service!

Yelp
I am so glad this place was recommended to me by a friend. Also, tip: Make reservations! Even on a cold rainy Tuesday, this place was fully booked, and we were lucky enough to get a table in the bar area. There were so many great items on the menu, it made it very difficult to figure out what to order, but we finally decided on: Lobster and Mascapone Agnolotti- WOW. Yes! Caesar Salad- VERY good. A proper caesar House Signature Filet Mignon with bacon and blue cheese with fig reduction- can I order 5? SO good! Truffle Mac and Cheese- No brainer, amazing Creamed spinach- Again, no brainer Mashed Potatoes- Good, but at this point, no room! I definitely recommend sharing some starters to try more because I wanted to have the crab cakes, the chopped salad and more sides, but we were so full when we were done. I highly recommend this place if you are lucky enough to be in the vicinity.

Yelp
I cannot say anything different from what all the yelpers have said so far. The meal was excellent. The service was excellent as well. Everything was minutely taken care of; even the symmetry of the plates on the table. At first, we arrived without reservation. You do not want to do that. We were actually lucky. Most of the people that arrive without reservation are send to the bar. Unless you don't care about eating in the bar, then you are good to go. Also, they open at 6pm and we arrived at 550pm. Therefore, we were offered to sit in the bar area until it opened. I, then, opened a cocktail and my husband a beer. They can prepare you the kind of cocktail you want, regardless of the menu. We were fancifully invited to move to the restaurant where our drinks will meet us. They brought the meat cuts to show us what was which. We ordered a kilo of prime rib. It is a portion for two, the waitress said. However, we tried to eat it all and we could not. On the sides we ordered mushrooms and Bok choi; speechless taste! Oops! I forgot to mention the appetizer was a french onion soup. We actually asked them to divided in two plates because we were gonna share. I recommend you to share if you get easily annoyed with strong flavors. It was a really, really good soup, BUT to thick and rich. I drank 4 spoonfuls and I was done! My meat was really yummy. Great flavor! OMG! You wont resist. We ordered medium rare and thats what we got. To finalize, they serve as appetizers little round bread and cheese;AWESOME!

Yelp
The food and service are of a caliber found in much pricier restaurants. Do yourself a favor: get the bacon-wrapped signature filet. Put it on your bucket list. It's that good.
google avatar

Dan W.

Yelp
Wonderful ambiance, knowledgeable sommelier, and good food made for a great night right near the heart of Old Town Prague!
google avatar

Gillian H.

Yelp
Starter cheese puffs were amazing. Started off on fabulous note. Salmon and caviar trio was beautifully presented. But bacon wrapped filet with blue cheese was outstanding. Prepared exactly as I requested. One of the best filets I have had. Incredibly flavorful. Nothing Bohemian about the restaurant but a gem nonetheless.

Yelp
We came here for a series of appetizers and drinks, tapas style. Omg the smoked old fashioned was a KILLER cocktail!!!! So much so we went back for a few cocktails the next day. Get it - seriously - you won't be disappointed. It tastes like a crisp Christmas morning. Mmmm ... The heirloom tomato salad was our favorite food thing, tho we also had the crab cakes, lobster ravioli and truffle Mac and cheese. They were good ... But not earth-shattering and I'm glad we opted not to eat a full course dinner after sampling just the apps. Would I go on someone else's dime? Yes. If I felt like splurging? Yes. Or if I was just REALLY hankering for steak while in town? Yes ... But unless one of those applies, wait until you're stateside. That being said, the place was crowded even on a Monday night and everyone seemed to be having a great time.

Yelp
If you make it to Prague don't skip this steak house. The food was amazing and the prices are awesome.

Yelp
Wow, wow, wow... This is a great steak place, honestly this is my last night in Prague, this is one I would really really recommend.. I believe it's pricey but worth every penny.. I love this place and would greatly recommend it, especially if you like steak places.. Also, they have an option if you are a big party to have a private room.. Love it
google avatar

Brady M.

Yelp
Traditional steak house (ala Morton's or Ruth's Chris just not as good). Nice atmosphere with a very friendly and accommodating staff. They were knowledgeable about Gluten free options and had many options including sides like potatoes au gratin. In the US this would be a 3 star as the food was not as good, but if looking for a nice GF dinner in Prague, you will be gluten safe and have a nice time.

Yelp
I feel as though if there were an R&B video filmed in Prague (lemme see...Drake, because he's Canadian and I'm true to my roots), he could use George Prime Steak as the location. *Bling bling George Prime perfect choreography*. Because it's elegant and dark and modern but also includes some European nods. I might have a totally distorted sense of prices (likely; blame London life), but I found the prices at George - given its "swanky" branding - to be totally fair. I mean, sure, you can get FANCY SCHMANCY burgers amped up with foie gras and 24 carat gold flakes, but that's just gilding the lily (my burger was labelled "Californian" and perfectly delectable). Save your coin instead for the amazing American-influenced cocktails like the smoke flavoured bitters-infused Old Fashioned, or the on-point Manhattan. I will say that at several points I wished they had more obviously Czech offerings. I mean, I know that it's an American-style steakhouse, but having British cheeses or Italian charcuterie seemed both off-brand and kind of a shame when there are so many delicious smoked and cured delicacies in the country. But, a small quibble! I ate and drank everything very happily, and the service and attention to detail was smooth-as-can-be. Yep; I think Drake would approve. Yelp note: being solo, I ate at the bar / from the bar menu.
google avatar

Sarianne S.

Yelp
Best steak ever. The staff is very professional and gives great recommendations on the types of meat and temperatures. Petit filet mignon was excellent. Baked Alaska dessert could have been better taste-wise, but the presentation was impressive.
google avatar

Julien T.

Yelp
Unfortunately for us, we didn't book a table so we had to eat next to the bar, but it's our fault. The service is excellent, the waiter explained the difference between all kind of meat we could order, he chose for us an excellent wine to pair with the meat. I had, (if I remember the name correctly) the bone-in rib eye. It was terrific. One of the best steak I have ever eaten and that was in Prague! not the US, not France or elsewhere, Prague! For the dessert, I had an apple pie, it could be better, I would suggest GPS to make a french Tarte Tatin to add a bit more finesse. If/when I come back to Prague, it will be the first restaurant I go for sure. Everything was "in apple pie order" (sorry for the bad pun). Great steaks for meat lovers!

Jason R.

Yelp
I have never paid so much to have a miserable dining experience. I can forgive the drunkard customer in the lobby blocking everyone from entering while he hit on the hostesses. I can overlook the fake marketing of their broiler as searing in juices. (Searing does not trap in juices.) What I can't overlook is being handed a delicious steak and then being given the dullest steak knife I've ever seen to eat with. I'd think it was a fluke, except that my dinner guest also had the same dull knife. He diners near me were all desperately trying to saw into their own dinners and only managed to mar the meat themselves. The steak was great, if mutilated, by the time it got to my lips.
google avatar

J. B.

Yelp
Wonderful steakhouse, that ships in their meat from Arkansas and emulates an American steakhouse. It was a great taste of home, while away on a long journey, and cost us a third of what we're accustomed to at home. The service was quite pleasant, and the sommelier was extra helpful. All of the apps and sides were very impressive and delicious, especially the mushrooms and the truffle mac and cheese (best ever).

Yali L.

Yelp
I think this is the best in town even better then Morton's . Quite nice experience in the restaurant, good service and fresh oysters and delicious steak. I love it!

Paco D.

Yelp
When you are ready for a break from contenental dining during a central european holiday or business visit to Prague this is a option to consider. Understated but elegant ambience, courteous, professional service, no sense of being rushed to finsh your meal prior to the next seating. A fine experience.

Mie M.

Yelp
This was an absolute pleasure! What an experience! The food was amazing, the service was impeccable and the ambience made for a memorable evening. It is not cheap, but we agreed it was more than worth it. We had some delicious cocktails to begin with - the best amaretto sour I've had, actually. Then to the steak: we both went with the waiter's recommendation, cowboy style bone in rib eye, medium done. WOW. Just wow. The meat was prepared in such a beautiful way, I ate most of it without the delicious bearnaise sauce I ordered with it. I am serious when I say this was quite a magical experience. Also, the restaurant was comfortably quiet even though all the tables were taken. Recommended!

Yelp
one thing i love is a good steak which i feel is sometimes a bit challenging to get in Edinburgh. so when i stumbled across George Prime Steak during my research of where to eat in prague i inisted that Jenny L and i make a visit!! thankfully she agreed and we booked dinner for the second night of our city break. the restaurant was a short walk from our hotel, down a side street from the Old Town Square. it's located in a fairly swanky building which really adds to the posh atmosphere that they're going for. poshness aside, the waiting staff are friendly and helpful so no snobbery to worry about. on arrival our coats were taken and we were brought through to the main dining area and shown to a nicely presented table next to a window facing the street. menus were handed to us and water brough to the table. we also received a small bread basket compliments of the kitchen (the cheddar muffins were amazing!!). after a brief contemplation of the menu, choices were decided and order along with a glass of red each. for my first choice i had the lobster cobb salad, which was in one word amazing. homemade ranch dressing, crispy bacon, avocado, and LOBSTER!! it was delicious and i ate every bite and used a bit of bread to mop up the extra dressing. seriously good and i wish i could have it again now! but then there was the steak main course... i had the fillet mignon topped with blue cheese and wrapped in bacon (hey, i was on holiday!) with a baked potato and creamed spinach on the side. the main course was equally as delicious as the first course with the steak being perfectly cooked, but even with all my best efforts i only managed to finish off the steak. something about the eyes being bigger than the stomach haha!! we decided that we were far too full for dessert and wanted to save any extra room for a few cocktails later in the night. so the bill was requested and off we went into the night with happy full bellies and our hearts full of love for steak :) i'd definitely recommend this place, although a bit pricey it's worth every penny!

Yelp
Best steak and service in town. Pricey, but a treat. Felt like a trip to America for the evening.

Yelp
Great restaurant! Great service, great steaks.. Been there twice, great success both times. Food is great, (had steak and lobster). Decor is tasteful and service is great too. Prices are a bit high (for Prague) but worth it in my opinion.

Martin W.

Yelp
Absolutely the best place in Prague for a steak dinner. Beautiful restaurant and excellent staff.

Yelp
The best cocktails on earth! Once I found this place I went almost every night of my trip and had every cocktail on the menu (plus some not on there). The food was amazing, easily better than Maestro's but a 3rd of the price (due to the exchange rate, expensive in Czech terms). Food was perfect as was the service. Next time I'm in Prague I will stay at the hotel above :).

Peter W.

Yelp
We stopped by just to have a drink at the bar. The restaurant was busy and were told that it may be slow to get drinks. We sat down and we waited patiently. After a while all I did was ask the bartender if we could just place our simple drink orders when she had a chance. Her reply was very rude and with an attitude that she was very busy and it would be at least 30 min before she could even get to us. It's obvious that restaurant management Is clueless on scheduling bar staff for busy nights... also unbelievable the attitude we encountered at this place.

S R.

Yelp
We sat at the bar. Decent drinks and good bar food (sliders were great). The full restaurant menu is also available. The service was amazing.

Jamie P.

Yelp
Great steakhouse in Prague. The only knock is that is one of the most expensive places in Prague, but great for a change.

Peter H.

Yelp
Elegant and attractive dining in the heart of Prague, with possibly the best steak I have had in Europe. This new restaurant is dedicated to bringing US best organically raised and aged beef with US cocktails and wine to Prague, and they do a terrific job! Service is excellent and very attentive, food is prepared expertly, my wife is not a beef eater and their fish and side dishes were also excellent. Very good wine list from US and Europe, great whiskey selection at the bar.
