Georges Bay Apartments

We had unit 1 which overlooked the bay with a lovely outdoor area and view. Whilst there is a main road in between it didn’t bother us much as at night time the traffic is rare. The unit was 2 bedrooms with a gorgeous kitchen and living area. Everything was renovated and the bathroom was also sparkling. Walk into main St Helens was about 5-10 mins and very easy. Lots of facilities which we didn’t use like laundry, bbq etc. especially liked the self check in with code sent the day before for the unit. Lovely spot to stay in St Helens and so much to see in this beautiful town.

We stayed in Apartment 5 which is not self contained. We didn't know this as it was booked as part of Tasmanian self drive holiday by a travel company. Having said that and perusing other reviews on apartments 5 &6, I have to say the unit is very clean and tidy. The room is very small but fairly functional except there's no hanging space, or place to house anything really. No place really to sit down and eat. It's primarily designed for an overnight stay which was our stay itinerary. It's in a lovely beach location and an outside viewing area would be ideal but you can't have everything. The unit has many more positive than negative points.

We stayed in Apartment 1, very clean, comfy beds, and great location. We stay here for a family members birthday each year and it's always an enjoyable stay at our favourite place St Helens. My sister and brother in-law received a box of chocolates and a nice note for their Wedding Anniversary and birthday.

Very neat, clean & well equipped. Encountered trouble because needed self check-in without counter service. But the code was sent through SMS, while my phone could not receive SMS. We had to call the hotel, then hotel sent the code to email. It took some time!

Room was clean but extremely small. Apartments 5 and 6 are very small. Dissapointing. No contact with anyone at all only last minute text joining instructions.wardrobe consists of 3 hangers on the wall. This apartment is cramped to say the least.Location is ok but a 15min walk to restaurants.

We had a lovely stay hassle free, rooms were very clean the manager and staff were so helpful in every way we were made to feel so welcome. Would highly recommend staying at George’s Bay Apartments

What a perfect apartment! We stayed in the 2bedroom which was huge, very clean & comfortable. My son loved the playground on site & it’s an easy stroll to town.

My husband and I had a one room " apartment" at Georges Bay Apartments which was booked by our travel agent after my approval. All correspondence with Erin was timely, friendly and helpful. The " apartment" is actually a motel room and a very small one at that. We particularly wanted to be self contained but the advertised kitchenette was actually a microwave and fridge. There was no cook top, as advertised, and the " well equipped" kitchen had a plastic spatula, a pair of tongs and a small knife. There was no sink, so washing up had to be done in the bathroom. There was a window up high, looking into the neighbouring yard and a glass front door that looked onto the driveway. The blind over this needed to be closed to maintain privacy. The shared laundry required payment for use of the machine and dryer and also for each quantity of detergent. There was small outdoor tables and chairs scattered along the front of the building but not enough for each room. The shower was very good and the bed comfortable. Cleanliness was not an issue. We were very disappointed that what was advertised was not what we received and would happily have paid more to get a " self contained apartment" for our two nights in St Helens.
