This place is perfectly okay, which isn't good enough for New York. Hey, we've got Payard and Bouchon. When those places are five-star, your average place is going to be three.
This is an average place.
Service is a bit spotty: they had at least six people behind the counter, and though I was the only customer they couldn't seem to get to me. Then, the pastry supply isn't that great. I got some madeleines and a crumble and I'm pretty sure they were exactly the same dough, because it was just too eggy. The ginger drink is really terrific, though.
Prices seemed very reasonable, and the place is cute-ish. If this is in your neighborhood, you might like it. If you're just walking by, though, you should probably keep walking.
