"Touring the Georgia Capitol and Museum A visit to the Georgia Capitol allows guests to see the role of the government firsthand. It's free to go on a self-guided tour of the grounds and capitol and if the House and Senate are in session, you can watch from the gallery, too. The museum on the fourth floor features exhibits on Georgia wildlife and natural resources as well as artifacts from the history of the capitol itself. When you get outside, admire the Dahlonega gilded dome."

The Georgia Capitol Museum is similar to other Capitol museums, but still worth a visit. The building itself is impressive and quiet, with hardly anyone around. We enjoyed walking through, taking photos, and exploring the historic space.

Great experience, a true palace of democracy, sad that in the modern day the public servants there, do not follow the principles of it. Instead degrading into corruption, immature and disgusting philosophies that bring shame to this great nation! When did the young generation stop learning from their ancestors? Building on their knowledge instead of completely disregarding it. Even though technologically they might have been less advanced in philosophy and leadership they have far eclipsed any of today.

Very interesting museum. The dioramas of the different regions of Georgia were really cool, as well as the agriculture exhibit. Will have to go through security to get in and the entrance is off MLK Jr. Dr. The guards were helpful and pointed me to the right direction. Overall, super cool to learn about Atlanta and Georgia overall.

Explored the Georgia Capitol Museum during a day trip to Atlanta in late August 2024. Good place to learn facts about Georgia and state politics. Beautiful building.

Being museum buffs, the Capitol Museum did not disappoint. Hughes amounts of history, 4 floors of history. We actually saw the Senate and the House in session. Very impressive.

The skyline is beautiful any time of the day. 🇺🇸💯 Atlanta, Georgia is one of the best cities in the country. Endless places to see, eat, experience and explore. It was no cost. In session so busy. Nice portraits and busts.

The building was getting painted while we were there. One half wasn't visible in its grandeur. The public entry is relegated to a small door on the side of the building so some of the awe of the architecture is lost when you can't see what the builders intended. Overall, still a worthwhile visit.
