Staff are lovely, breakfast great.
Please invest in some decent cleaning staff.
Our room had dust grime, bathroom had mould, light in bathroom was putrid. The bait box in the corner of the room is not welcoming either.
The rooms have so much to offer but need to be looked after better - we paid way too much for what we got.

The rooms are absolutely not as depicted on their website or the booking engines used to confirm accommodation. A share bathroom on each floor for guests.
Bedrooms are grotty, dust and grime on most surfaces. Floors and carpet not been vacuumed. Receptionist has dirty dishes surrounding his work space. The doonas and sweat stained and yellowing. We could not even stay for one hour. Left in search of adequate accommodation. Refund refused. Looks like a halfway house.

I have made comments below but the advertising of this place and the room we were allocated was nothing like the pictures.Extremely small, the bathroom was terrible with stained bath. The bathroom door would not close so there was no privacy to use the toilet. There is so much potential but I would not stay again until updating of the rooms and bathrooms have been done. Buffet breakfast needs to be hot .We couldn’t eat ours as it was all cold. The eggs bacon and beans were awful. Water for instant coffee was lukewarm.Very disappointing , when we travelled all the way from Ballarat for a family gathering. Don’t put false photos of rooms when they are clearly not up to standard. Would not recommend this to anyone.

Good location, close enough to walk to the CBD and the building has a few car parks on the back.
The room was ok, essential but fine.. but the walls are thin and not really sound proof.
Left too early to judge the breakfast. Would stay here again.

The room gives me a feeling of the last century. The view and location are good. It is convenient to go to the attractions in the city, but the room is a bit narrow, and even late at night, you may still be disturbed by the noise of the nearby trains. If you want to stay here, I recommend you to bring something yourself like toothpaste and slippers

Our stay of 4 nights was not good. After the first night we had to ask for our bathroom to be cleaned of mould. The bedroom window frame was also dirty and weeds from outside were growing under the window frame.
The breakfast was quite good except that cooked food went cold quickly due to a food warmer not working propoerly.
The dining room and lounge were freezing and we had to keep our coats on for breakfast.
Floor boards in the hallway were broken and the floor over them dipped when trodden on.
What a pity as this could be a lovely b and b if it had some money spent on maintenance, heating, cleaning and making staff available. Apart from breakfast, staff were virtually invisible.

The room was dirty and filled with mold, it’s in a great location if you’re going to the mcg or having a night in fitzroy and need somewhere to crash but i wouldn’t recommend staying here long. I think the rooms could be nice, but the bathroom was moldy and mildewy, the sheets and curtains were stained, the only upside is that there were no bugs.

This is a very affordable place to stay near the MCG with breakfast and limited parking included in the cheap price - but the rooms and building are in need of general maintenance and repair. It is not flash, but value for money if you are on a tight budget or dont want to spend a fortune on accommodation.
