Georgian House Hotel

We haven't visit for a while so decided to book a table for dinner and so pleased we did. Comfortable bar area good selection of drinks and excellent cocktails. Shown to the dinning room which is nicely decorated. Food was delicious beautifully presented & tasted gorgeous. Good choice, lovely friendly efficient staff. We will definitely return.

We booked a last minute stay here for the weekend. If you book direct breakfast is included in the price. ||||Friendly welcome. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed was SO comfy. Bathroom was a good size with plenty of storage, Elemis toiletries and a powerful shower. There were some crisps, biscuits, kettle with tea/coffee and a small fridge. ||||We didn’t get the fan or robes in the room but didn’t bother to say as we were just staying for one night. ||||You could choose your breakfast from a variety of options including poached eggs, omelettes or full breakfast. It was a bit oily but well cooked. Butter, jam, toast, juice, cereals all provided as well. ||||Location was great, right in the centre of town, there is a cosy bar/lounge on the 2nd floor that opens in line with the restaurant. ||||We parked around 5 minute walk away for £4 for 24 hours. ||||Would stay again if we ever returned to Whitehaven.

We spent 2 nights here while traveling around the local areas and cannot recommend it enough. Rooms were exceptional and so clean. The breakfast was very good and prepared fresh for all guests. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout the stay and our dinner on the second night. We liked the efficiency of dinner as we got to have a drink in the lounge and order then go downstairs to be seated at the table and eat!

Lovely stay on business, hotel is clean, well kept, well presented rooms (which I think are all individual). Great shower and bathroom facilities.||Dinner was amazing, and breakfast high standard. Service was great all stay too. I did notice it’s free room service which is a nice touch.||Parking was fine on the main high street if you’re arriving after 6 and leaving before 8.30. It’s about 30 second walk

Just spent two days at this wonderful hotel where the owners and staff go above and beyond to ensure the comfort of their guests. The decor is beautiful with no expense spared, the food is amazing, best I've ever had and the place is spotlessly clean. Will definitely return

What a lovely place. Stayed the night before starting C2C bike ride. Secure bike storage, lovely room - comfy bed, smart, clean and great shower. The restaurant was busy with local people - I had booked elsewhere sadly. My breakfast was delicious!

Went for food for my daughters birthday and meal was terrible, starters were okay some better than others, steaks all come cooked incorrectly, waited 45 minutes to get seated which is the norm there but never got offered a single drink time we were there. We said we would pay but expressed our concerns, one said sorry and walked off to get a bill, then the lady from bar come to clear plates and when she asked if it was okay and we told her the concerns she actually laughed. Won’t be returning and over £220 for 4 steaks, few started and 2 alcoholic drinks and 2 cokes was definitely on the more expensive side.

Stayed here 2 days last week and 2 days this week for work. Great central location. Rooms are lovely and have a boutique feel to them. The staff are great. Very personal service. Special mention to Stephanie and Rita. Food is superb. Great breakfast, outstanding dinner and plenty of Gluten Free options.
