I clearly haven’t got out enough. We found ourselves in Flinders on the shores of WesternPort. It’s such a lovely sleepy little village here.
There’s a bit of class on show. This is a gem of a cafe. It would be very at home anywhere in hipsterville Melbourne. It’s a cracker. A smart, bright and very nicely fitted out modern cafe. It’s really impressive inside. It also has a gorgeous outside area including one of those beautiful covered areas with an ornamental grapevine on it. You can’t fault the style. It’s a comfy cafe whether cool or hot. We arrived at 2.25pm, 5 minutes before closing time on a Monday. They could have easily invited us to knick off but instead greeted us with a smile and happily served us.
My long black was a beauty, my partner’s flat white “magnificent” - a direct quote. I eyed off the coconut tea cake enviously. It looked and tasted excellent. The service from the young server was charming from start to finish. We’d give her an immediate pay rise. We liked the look of the all day brekkie menu and the lunch menu here. We’ll definitely be back.
